He went above and beyond for us, and helped make our wedding perfect! He is responsive to emails, prompt, professional, and incredibly warm and friendly. He worked closely with the wedding coordinator to make sure that they had shared all the pertinent details, had a solid timeline, and generally kept things running smoothly. He even came to our rehearsal to make sure that everything would be correct the next day. For the ceremony, he actually created a song for us when we were having trouble picking recessional music; my husband and I liked the opening flourish of one song, but the main body of a different song, so Andy beautifully blended them so we could have the best of both! It was exactly what we imagined, and he provided it when we didn't even think it was possible. He was great at the reception as well. He kept the music happy and upbeat, focusing mainly on the music that my husband and I told him we liked. He also is great about abiding by the "Do NOT Play" list, if you ask him. The reception was a ton of fun, and Andy did an excellent job of keeping peoples' energy up and making people want to be on the dance floor all night. It was great! From the first meeting it was so evident how professional, organized, and down to earth Mike is. His flexible schedule worked well with our crazy schedule for our first meeting. Mike came prepared with several different options for DJ services, but not only that he started introducing us to all the lighting services he could provide! During this meeting we could tell how much Mike loves what he does. After we booked Bolt Entertainment for our Wedding, Mike was what kept us on track for the rest of the planning. The easy to use planning website through Bolt helped us organize our schedule, select songs throughout the entire evening, and get a general feel for how the day would go. Besides having the event planning site at our fingertips, Mike was easy to get in touch with through the entire process via e-mail, phone, and meeting. Mike met with us again prior to the wedding day at our venue to get a feel for lighting and finalizing details. Mike was so flexible with our ever changing schedule and ideas (literally, my husband picked his Mother-Son dance the morning of the wedding!). On the day of is where Mike and his team really shined! Mike was so efficient setting up the lighting and the sound system, while the rest of us frantically got the space ready for the ceremony and reception. Mike worked seamlessly with the other vendors (Photographers, Venue reps, caterers) to organize the entire evening. My husband and I didn't have to think about anything except enjoying the evening. Mike organized the wedding party prior to the ceremony, kept guests entertained throughout cocktail hour, and maintained great energy throughout the reception and dance to make sure everyone was having a good time. In addition to the awesome DJ-ing throughout the night the lighting of the space set the tone for the whole evening. His lighting really transformed a blank canvas into a stunningly beautiful venue! Mike truly uses the best of the best of equipment. The DJ stand, podiums, and moving light heads are all state of the art and look beautiful. When inquiring about hiring them for my daughters 7th birthday party they answered every question I had promptly and thoroughly and they were very patient and professional, as I'm sure I asked the same questions in different ways quite a few times. They arrived on time, as scheduled and carried out a wonderfully orchestrated entrance with their Jojo Siwa look a like character and my daughter almost hit the floor! She was so ecstatic to see her favorite pop star stop by her house to say happy birthday! They brought her birthday gifts that they took time out to wrap and personally address to my daughter, topped with a beautiful bow! They even included an authentic JoJo Bow as one of the gifts! The Jojo character truly looked a lot like Jon Siwa, which is incredible! I had researched companies on and off for about the last year and there was 0 comparison. Not a lot of companies even offer a Jojo Siwa character in our area, however, the few that did should probably attain better suited characters if they want their customers to be convinced. This Jojo character, not only looked like the real Jojo, but she performed a few of Jojo Siwa's mst popular songs, including specific requests from my daughter. They danced and sang together, they sat and talked & jojo answered all of my daughters questions and even asked her quite a few as well. She let my daughter teach her some of the moves she learned by watching them on tv. And although some were silly 7 year old girl moves, JoJo repeated them after my daughter did each one and even asked her if she could use some of them in her next show! They stayed longer than initially projected, without charging more...which was also impressive! They taylored everything personally to my daughter and our set up. The entire time JoJo made sure to incorporate social distancing and kept her mask on and even got creative for picture time with air hugs! It was awesome! My daughter is still thoroughly convinced that her idol came to personally spend her 7th birthday with her and make her feel special! Mission accomplished! After they left, my daughter ran straight in the house and called EVERYONE she knew to tell them what just happened and she hasnt stopped talking about it since! Thank you Magical Parties and More for making my daughters 7th birthday the most memorable ine to date!! I appreciate everything! I recommend them for any party entertainment needs!
