Long version: Jimmy responded promptly to my request for service and was able to schedule me for an appointment quickly. He arrived on time and quickly went to work diagnosing and addressing the problems we had discussed. In a short amount of time, he located and repaired a leak and serviced several sunken heads and faulty nozzles around my 1/3 acre lot. At each step of the way, Jimmy presented options for how to fix each issue at different price points depending on my needs/wishes. He also helped me optimize each zone's programming after the repairs were done. Note that 4L irrigation Repair does not provide a quote up front because there are too many variables to be able to do this accurately up front. When all was said and done, I had thought of several more small repairs/adjustments than we had initially discussed and it became clear why an accurate up-front quote would not have been possible to provide anyway. Jimmy charges a flat hourly labor rate plus parts. While an unscrupulous repairman could use this model to milk a project, there is no need to worry about this with 4L Irrigation Repair. Jimmy worked quickly and efficiently, and I am confident that I got more than my money's worth. When it came time to pay, I was surprised by how affordable the invoice was. John honored the price and his technician came out the next business day to do the service. He did a great job and he even power blowered all the soil cores off of the driveway, which he stated is something they do for all of their aeration customers. I had to scramble to reschedule a work meeting that was supposed to start 20 minutes after they arrived. Initially, I spent $1,033 for a detailed system evaluation under the owner's direct supervision. It was worth every penny! Kyle is a genius when it comes to evaluating sprinkler systems and recommending effective upgrades and repairs. My most recent experience, however, revealed a serious issue with the company's billing practices and the owner's response to reasonable customer inquiries. On May 12, 2026 an h2oRx technician named Raul and his assistant replaced a defective sprinkler valve. This was a complicated job involving extensive digging and approximately 1.5 hours of labor (see uploaded photo). He had to replace the entire valve assembly. The total charge was $267.80, which I considered more than fair for the amount of flawless workmanship and materials involved. Raul identified a second defective valve during this same service call. In this case, the repair was much easier: he simply replaced the components inside the existing valve body. The repair took less than 20 minutes and required no digging. h2oRx charged an identical flat rate of $267.80 for this 20-minute part-swap! I called the owner, Kyle Jensen, to ask why a short secondary repair performed during the same service call was billed identically to the much larger complete valve assembly replacement. Rather than discussing my pricing concern constructively, he very quickly became defensive, condescending and arrogant. Our one-sided conversation ended with his offer to completely refund the second $267.80 charge if I agreed to "part ways" as customer and contractor. I readily accepted Kyle's offer. The next morning, Kyle sent me an email with a farraginous "Refund Letter" attached (see uploaded photo). The letter is heavy-handed and full of amateurish intimidation tactics, such as pseudo-legal sounding threats about defamation and "loss of business." It attempts to condition the $267.80 refund on my signing away my right to post honest reviews and my right to the 2 year warranty on the newly installed sprinkler valve. I refused to sign Kyle's "Refund Letter," and told him to keep his $267.80 refund. Consider it a gift. Or, better yet, give it to Raul as a bonus for a job well done. I will retain my right to tell the truth. Pros: * Professional, highly-skilled technicians and quality repair work * Good system knowledge. The h2oRx evaluation is an extremely worthwhile service, especially for older sprinkler systems like mine. Cons: * Nonsensical billing practices * Extremely poor handling of customer concerns. Owner responds to reasonable customer inquiries with condescension, defensiveness, and empty legal threats. I hope this review helps other homeowners make an informed decision.
