And I had a 20 foot tall Pecan tree that died also. When Sal's crew arrived, they informed me I also had one more dead Pecan tree. The trees were a bit crowded, so when the men finished thinning out, the overall effect was very pleasing to the eye. And the crew ground the stumps down, filled the holes and cleaned everything up. It is hard to tell Sal's crew were ever there bringing down those tall trees and reducing it all to mulch. When the crew found the third dead tree (a Pecan) they quickly estimated a price, but it was over my budget, so I told them "next time". Sal's guy agreed to knock off $200, and get it all done so this job would look great, and the problem was off my list. I was not angling for a discount but it made it worthwhile to squirm for the extra. And I realized they were so right when I saw the finished result looked just beautiful with all the trees attended to. Sal, I am glad your guys can "think of Their Feet". They really stand back and get the big picture when they plan their work. This is my third service from this company. And I could not be happier.

Workers mowed over a garden bed and two plants without notifying homeowners OR their GrassWorx boss. The only reason I used them as many times as I did(three times) was due to their low cost...get what you pay for(so they say). I would say, use at your own risk and don't have high expectations. They are quick when they do show up, but keep an eye on them and don't expect any 5star work. Definitely NOT a 5 star company.

I had them doing mowing services bi-weekly and they always came on their scheduled day; if they weren't able to make it out (usually due to weather), they would show up the following day. They offer many other lawn services , such as flowerbed weeding, mulch, etc. The guys are quick and efficient and do a great job cleaning up afterward as well. I recently had to cancel my service with them because I'm moving out of state, but if I was staying in the Dallas area I would definitely keep them as my lawn service providers.

As consumers of services such as…read morethese, we have little to no recourse when you pay for a service, and do not receive what you expected. So while I personally do not get anything out of writing a review such as this, neither will the business owner, Victor. - We hired Victor and his "crew" to do some work on the house. Victor came out at the start to survey the property and give us a quote. We never saw him again. The people that came out to the house are just workmen - they are not from his company and do not work for him. He just hires out people to complete a job. I believe it is because of this that we had so many issues. - We have a small lawn and wanted it replaced. They did a barely passable job at this. It took several visits to get completed, with calls to remind them to pick up the leftover sod. They used like 2 foot sections of sod, so now the lawn is covered in all these squares. It's not level - it's quite bumpy. I was expecting nice long sections of grass. It looks like we got someone's leftovers. I wish it were flatter too. Weeds are growing up through it. At least it is still green. - We had them fix the old sprinkler system. This took some doing too. They claimed to have fixed it all up but never showed us how to do anything. I had to call to have them come out and show me how to work it. It works great! - The people I dealt with in person that came to the house were cool. The lawn guy, the sprinkler guy - knowledgeable and friendly people. - Tree trimming. Ah yes. We asked for some trees to be trimmed. They trimmed the trees, left all their gear and tools around. No one came to get them. We had to call to ask them to finish the job and pick up their tools. They came back and collected their tools, did no additional work. Had to call, again, because we received a fine from out homeowners association saying we were violating tree-growth. They came out and did additional work. But still, branches are clearly over our neighbors roof, and ours as well. This is where it got bad. - The sole phone call I had with Victor last week was abominable. Up to now, Victor had been helpful. But he really deteriorated this time. He was extremely argumentative, to the point of being laughable. I was asking for him to meet with us so we could personally show him the issue. He got upset because "it costs me $400 every time I send people out to your house". Mind you, he charged us $800 for this. Maybe we could have hired people ourselves for $400? I tried to explain the issue - how the branches are on the neighbors roof, etc. He got mad, said "is it too much to ask for you to be home to inspect the work when it is completed instead of sending photos days later!?". Now - I deal with contracts myself - and if from the get-go Victor put in writing that we needed to be on-site to inspect all work before it's completed, I would agree. But he didn't. This whole time we were doing as asked - making phone calls to him, and texting/sending photos, etc. I told him we work during the day, long hours, don't get home until night, so we can't send photos or videos as often as he'd expect. At one point Victor said "OK!" about 35 times in a row. I am not kidding. I counted. He simply did not want to listen to me. It was laughable. But I don't think he's laughing now. - I know he was extremely argumentative on the phone because he was upset at the incompetence of the people he had hired to do the work. But he took it out on me. I've never had a company blame ME for shoddy work. - Victor, I wish I could have told you up front that if you try to blame me for the incompetent people you hire, and if you yell at me over the phone saying "OK!!!" dozens of times, and if you hang up on me, you will get a 1-star review on Yelp. But I don't do that. I also wouldn't have said if you do a good job, you get a 5-star review. Victor, you brought this on yourself. - A week has passed since this call. I was giving him a week to make this right prior to this review. Nothing has happened, and Victor now has no recourse with us. We are hiring someone else to finally trim the trees properly. Victor's organization, Green Lawn of Texas, completely deserves 1-star. I would not recommend using this service.

I hired this crew at a friend's behest to perform a number of jobs for me, to include grass…read moreinstallation in the front and back yards, tree trimming, and a few other things. The experience has been far from positive. We negotiated prices, they took measurements of my property, we walked around the house, and in general, we had a detailed conversation about the work that was going to be performed. After agreeing to the price, I asked the son to send me a text outlining the services and the agreed price. After this happened, I was told the work would take a few days. A couple of days or so after the work began, I received a text stating the duration of the job would require extension because "there is no grass at the moment," and they (the grass supplier) wouldn't be open for a few days. I said ok to that, no problem. A day later I got a text stating it would cost them more to complete the job. Playing devil's advocate, I inquired into how much more it would require. I was then told it would cost another $1360 additional over and above the almost $3000 we agreed to. I was then asked if I wanted the job they started finished to which I replied all this was pretty outrageous as my front and backyard was already carved up. Long and short of this I was asked to make another payment of $1850 in addition to the $600 I gave them to start the job, which I did, following which they subsequently ghosted me and have ceased to answer or respond to any of my calls and messages inquiring into the completion of the work we agreed to. The installed grass in the front is of varying quality and is dying, the grass in the back of the house (other than a slim line on one side) has not been installed. You would be best served avoiding these fellows - they lack integrity and professionalism, and are very money hungry in general. They obviously do not adhere to agreements and are likely to do the same to you.
