I recently scheduled an appointment with Zona Dental for a treatment that was three months away. Prior to the appointment, I requested an estimate for the cost of the treatment since I had switched insurances and Zona Dental was out of network, which they provided as $113. Based on that estimate, I decided to keep the appointment. However, when the bill arrived three months later, I was shocked to see that the total cost was over $300. When I contacted Zona Dental to inquire about the discrepancy, they informed me that I should have asked for a pre-treatment estimate instead of the estimate they provided, which they claimed was not a guarantee of the final cost. While I understand the distinction they made, I believe it would have been helpful for them to have been more clear and transparent about the limitations of the estimate they provided. Therefore, I recommend that anyone scheduling an appointment with Zona Dental, especially if they are out of network, should ask for a pre-treatment estimate to avoid any surprises. I love Zona Dental My family and I have been patients at Zona for 23 yrs. Today's visit was a cleaning, 2:30 appt and I was seen at 2:30 by Trisha. I show up with 5-10min to check in and I am always seen in a timely manner. Their staff has had familiar faces every time we've had appts. Even with new dentist who have joined the practice we feel their care and attention to our Dental needs. Their helpful prevented measures help to keep our teeth healthy and at their best! I walked into the fresh, inviting reception room and was warmly greeted by Brittany, after which I was promptly escorted to the operatory where dental assistant Shannon made me feel both welcome and comfortable. zona Dental is the best place to go for dental work. I have always hated going to the dentist even to have my teeth cleaned. I have very sensitive teeth. Everyone is on a Dental is very kind and caring. Had my teeth cleaned by and I experienced no pain during the cleaning, which is very unusual for me. I've also had crowns done there and they do an amazing job. I highly recommend especially if you have sensitive teeth and are afraid to go to the dentist. I had an appointment today for a crown and 2 small fillings. I was nervous about a 2- hour appointment with this amount of work. I was pleasantly surprised with the caring, gentle, efficient care that I received from Dr Richardson and his assistant. Even my numbing shot did not hurt! We always have such a fun and quick experience when we go to this dental office. It's clean, never really crowded and there's a nice area by the bike path close to the office to occupy my kids if we have to bring them.
