Stay away from this place!! They are horrible!!! They have Christian sayings all over the place and then they rip you and your insurance off and then lie about it. Not very Christ-like if you ask me. The office personnel are wonderful. However, I would NOT recommend Dentopia Dental and Dr. Cho. He is nice as a person but is NOT a good dentist. I believe he fills 'cavities' that are not actual cavities. This weakens teeth and makes crowns more necessary as time goes by. Just had my first visit to Dentopia and it was excellent! Setting up the appointment for my cleaning was simple, and they have online forms so you don't have to go in early to fill things out by hand. Monica and her staff are friendly, professional, and go out of their way to ensure you're comfortable. For example my teeth are very sensitive to cold so instead of doing the usual cold water spray they provided me a cup of room temperature water to swish with. Also the ultrasonic cleaning tool uses cold water to keep the tool from overheating. Monica turned down the water flow so that the tool warmed the water and it didn't hurt my teeth :) I had a tiny chip in my front tooth. I have Solstice for insurance and asked them what the dental code was to have the tooth lightly ground down so it would be smooth. The code wasn't listed on my Statement of Benefits so it wasn't covered by my insurance and was going to forgo it, but since it was such a minor thing they did it on the house! Dr. Owji was very delicate so as to not remove more material than necessary and stopped several times to ask if I was satisfied so he didn't go too far. Probably the best dental experience I've ever had. I definitely recommend them. read more

I went to this location and saw Dr. Cho to get a couple fillings. They fit me in pretty quickly, which I was surprised by but happy with. The receptionist was friendly. However, the appointment seemed very rushed even though I was the only one there and the assistant fumbled with tools and even dropped one on my face. I was not impressed. A year later, I have to get the same filling repaired. I will not be back and I do not recommend. read more

I'm extremely impressed with the level of care and compassion at Dentopia. I chose this office because of insurance options and location, but feel very fortunate to have been treated so well. After a trying time to find a new dentist,we finally found one we liked only to find out in early December that they no longer take my insurance while I'm on a treatment plan. Did the office call me months ago to let me know, no! I found out by calling them to schedule my next treatment. I was then told they no longer take my insurance and this happened months ago! Well if I knew months ago, I could have changed my insurance during open enrollment. Nope, I found out in the beginning of December. Very sad. Now I'm off to find another dentist. New owners took over the practice, I wish this was more of a positive review, the only good thing about this place is it has a fresh coat of paint and pretty new furniture in the lobby. The new owner Monica doesn't seem to know the first thing about running a practice, they have a doctor temping in there and do not want to tell patients his name, I have more upcoming appointments that I cancelled but have been going to Dr. Cho for over 14 years, I had no idea Dr. Cho was even selling the practice which was upsetting to find out today when I showed up to my appointment, then having to deal with Monica and her mother Francis at the front desk was beyond dreadful very rude especially when I asked for the office Manager Cathy!! I never had to wait in the lobby for my appointment, today (3/12/2025) the hygienist was behind over 45 minutes due to the new owners putting in last minute appointments for her (most I have ever waited was 15 minutes), they never once checked on me nor did I see them even let her know I was there for my appointment. The quality of care already seems to be going down hill. And cherry on top they let the office manager Cathy go, big mistake on their part, HUGE!!! When I asked for my records and told them I would not be returning Francis told me she was too busy to copy them and I would have to come back for them! Ridiculous especially since Francis raved about how many years she's been in the dental field and couldn't even put some papers in the copier, and I travel over 30 minutes just to go to the office and will have to make another trip to give them adequate time to make copies. The doctor they told me they were going to probably keep was rude, misogynistic, and had no "chair side" manner whatsoever, I can see why they don't want to tell their patients who he is to ensure you don't do research on him, he does not have good reviews makes you wonder why he's on the job hunt. I do not recommend even wasting your time coming here, this place is a sinking ship!! If you're an established patient I recommend grabbing your records while the doors are still open. It was a total mess while I was there, pure chaos which was very unsettling as if you are like me and have a lot of stress going to the dentist. Dr. Cho did a filling on a tooth that he had worked on couple years back. Now, I can no longer floss around the tooth that he worked on. The receptionist told me it would be x amount to get the filling done. After it was done, she doubled the price, saying it's not her job to know my insurance. I asked her to send me a bill, and the bill is now for a totally different amount yet. Although I had never been happy from the beginning, I kept going to him, because I was too lazy to switch. I've been coming here for years and I dread dentists . I used to get anxiety and stopped going to dentist until it was too late and needed so many root canals my teeth were bad . Now I always go for teeth cleaning and my teeth and gums are so healthy compared to years of neglect . Dr is super gentle and always make sure I'm comfortable . And heather is a superstar , she is so professional , always make sure you are taken care of , gets you in to their schedule and tris her best to accommodate you and always makes u feel warm and welcomed , she knows her stuff . I never write Yelp reviews, but I saw S.C.'s review and decided I needed to speak up. My old dentist stopped taking my crummy dental insurance in 2020 or 2021. My husband (who has never had a cavity in adulthood) and I (who had 3 cavities 10 years ago after a long period without dental coverage) both went to Dr. Cho for a new patient cleaning and checkup. We hadn't missed any of our previous cleanings and checkups at our previous dentist. My husband was told he had three cavities, and I was told I had seven(!). In a bit of a panic I called a dentist I had seen several years back (trying to figure out who was wrong, my last dentist or Dr. Cho), and scheduled a check-up. I had ZERO CAVITIES. I still have zero cavities a couple of years later. Maybe Dr. Cho's threshold for the definition of "cavity" is just different from others, but I'd rather have a dentist who isn't drill-happy. read more

I've been coming to Dentopia for years now. Before them I never found a dentist with a good hygenist who wouldn't gouge my gums. Holly, the hygenist here, is awesome. She never gouges my gums, does thorough job cleaning and is great to chat with. Heather in the front office is also extremely nice. Dr Cho, the dentist, takes great care to do a thorough job, but fortunately I haven't needed any dental work in many years. I live in Miami, FL now but when I come to Tucson to visit I have them do the work because I don't think I could ever find a dentist team this good in Miami. read more
