RUN AWAY, DO NOT WALK. This company did my roof. First off, they installed a ridge vent, which…read morewould have been fine except it turns out my soffits are not vented and therefore there is almost zero air intake, making a ridge vent useless. When I asked Antonio about air intake, he texted back that my soffits are vented. Well, yes, the vinyl has holes in them; however, they are not vented into the attic (which I confirmed after the fact). He never checked. In the process of investigating how to deal with my lack of air inflow, the next contractor who showed up astutely pointed out that I do not have a drip edge. I called Antonio to address this, and his response was something to the effect of it's not important. After meeting with several other roofers and doing an online Google search, it turns out a drip edge is code in NJ for new construction as well as re-roofs. I immediately texted Antonio requesting a partial refund to have this remedied (as best as possible, as it really can't be done correctly after the shingles are installed), and he responded saying his "foreman" could come on Saturday to install a drip edge. Reluctantly, I agreed. Fast forward to Friday, the day before the scheduled job. I texted Antonio to reconfirm, and he advised me to text the foreman. Um, OK. I did so, no reply. Texted Antonio in the afternoon advising him of the lack of reply and he said he would let me know when he made contact with said employee. Friday comes and goes, half of Saturday comes and goes, no reply. Texted Antonio Saturday afternoon, and he said he hadn't been able to reach his employee. (Would have been nice to have gotten an update by end of day Friday.) I again expressed my concern about the drip edge not being installed, as pointed out by other roofers. His reply was that "other roofers are going to talk sh*t." At this point, I screenshotted the code and explicitly stated that I am not concerned about other roofers talking whatever, but rather my concern was my roof not being up to code. Have not heard from him since. So, I will be hiring another roofer and will meet Antonio in a courtroom. If you want headaches, go for it.

They started early and when they left for the day all construction debris was completely removed. This is exceptional performance by any measure. Neighbors having similar work performed had dumpsters in their driveways for over a week. My dumpster was installed and removed the same day. They tried to charge my insurance company for work they did not perform. They called me daily to set up appointments to replace garage doors I did not order. They did not honor a 500.00 coupon that I handed to the contractor when I signed the contract to begin work. I'm still getting bills for that. I still do not have a warranty for the work completed. All the way down the line, these guys were just not honest people. I suggest you get references from local people and find an honest contractor to do your work.

The price was great too. The job was done beautifully, and I have a 4,400 square foot roof with lots of angles. I have but one but....the actual job was done by 2 subcontractors whose team spoke no English, the foreman spoke enough to get by. This made it difficult to coordinate what furnishings and garden items were being moved. They also did not take photos of the items being moved so the garden items were just jammed in anywhere and they didn't put the furniture back until we complained to Bill. Clean up of debris wasn't great either, we found about 2-3 cups of nails not picked up on the deck, in the grass, and by the steps.

I hired Munz Roofing and Siding to complete a siding project, and I could not be happier with the entire experience. From the start, their consultant, Stephen M., came out and provided helpful education, a thorough walkthrough, zero pressure, and a timely quote for several different product options. Munz ultimately provided the best quote among the three local companies that came out. Eric G., their general manager, also came out to review the plan and clearly outlined the steps they would take to protect our garden beds during the siding removal and installation. That level of communication and attention to detail gave us a lot of confidence going into the project. Project Manager Chris and installer Oleg then completed the project in 9.5 days, which was even half a day ahead of their original 10-day estimate. Chris checked in every day to see if we had any questions or concerns, and Oleg's work was outstanding. His craftsmanship and attention to detail were top notch, and he spent at least a half hour cleaning up every day before leaving. One thing that really stood out was that Oleg took the time to point out how well the previous siding job had been done when the house was built about 40 years ago. He noted that the original wrapping had been applied with meticulous precision, which helped explain why there was minimal water damage to the existing boards. That honesty was appreciated, especially because there was never a moment where the crew attempted to upsell us on unnecessary work. Overall, Munz was professional, honest, communicative, and highly skilled from start to finish. I could not recommend this company enough. My parents hired a different contractor at first and ended up getting fired after 2 days on the job. We should have went with Munz from the beginning. They fixed everything the other group messed up and then completed the job that was intended. My parents had their cedar shake siding replaced with Hardie siding and their house looks brand new! Freddy, Dastan, and Talay were a great team. They worked so hard every day they were here and were meticulous in their work. They were so helpful with other things as well. A few times they would see me trying to lift something heavy and one of them came right over and said let me get that for you. Freddy was such a sweet guy in charge and if you ever needed anything you could always just give him a call. The guys cleaned up every day after they worked even when it started to rain on them which happened a few times. These guys were the best and we are so happy with the work they did.
