They also did not take photos of the items being moved so the garden items were just jammed in anywhere and they didn't put the furniture back until we complained to Bill. Clean up of debris wasn't great either, we found about 2-3 cups of nails not picked up on the deck, in the grass, and by the steps.

I can't speak to the quality of the work they do (or the price), but if they're sloppy, belligerent and unwilling to accept responsibility for their behavior, I suspect you won't get much satisfaction from them if their work falls short of expectations.

The next day I inspected the attic thinking that maybe the solar panels installed two years ago may be the cause. To my surprise and relief the cause was a missing plastic cover that was on the roofs powered exhaust vent. It had blown off during Fridays storm. Luckily my tenant had stored the cover but did know what it was. The vent with the cover on looks like a mushroom. On Sunday, I used Angie 's list to located a Staten Island roofer since my Brooklyn guy had not yet called back and I didn't want to risk another rain storm. The first contractor that called was already talking about replacing the exhaust vent at about $1600 for the job I cut him short since I only wanted a cover replaced. I said this is not looking good . Good bye. About 5 minutes later Marke calls me I got lucky, real lucky in finding a guy that did not try to cheat me. I told him all that was needed was to replace the cover. I texted him the photos of the cover. He stated that he could possibly fix the cover once he takes a look at it. It may be hard to find a replacement. At 10am he arrived at the house with his father. (Once he said that was his father, I knew I had the right guy) He inspected the roof and confirmed he could do a decent repair. He showed me pics of the roof vent. No need to change it. He used metal strips and screws to attach the cover. Then he placed ice/water shield and adhered it to the cover. He took pics again after the repair. The price was very reasonable The honesty was superb The time arrangement could not have been better. I paid cash and he later emailed me an invoice as I had requested. He is a good man who works with his father and since he did not steer me wrong, I decided to give him an excellent review!! I hope you call him if you ever do need a reliable and honest roofer. By the way, my Brooklyn roofer did call me back and confirmed that he would have done the same.

The owner came over 2 hours later, climbed on the roof and took the measurements all while it was raining. We agreed on a great price and 3 days later when we had the only sunny day he replaced the whole roof. Great job and the work quality is excellent. He even went above and beyond by replacing 10 sheets of rotten plywood, installing new flashing on a leaking window, added flashing to my chimney and even placed new chimney caps for me. He went up on the roof, took pictures so we could see exactly what the problem was and gave us a quote. We had had water coming through the master bedroom ceiling and laundry mudroom area below. Rain was forecasted for the upcoming weekend and it was Thursday. They called later that day and said they'd be there 7:30 am- which they were. They rearranged their work schedule to do so. A crew of six worked non-stop to successfully complete the job in one day - everything was cleaned up afterwards. I can not comment on the price as we did no comparison but calculating the labor, materials, dumpster fee and professionalism from start to finish the job was worth every penny.
