I've been a loyal customer for about 15 years. I originally started coming here with the previous owner had the place. He was VERY good at repairs and the best prices anywhere. My first visit, I had put a large gash in my bumper and got an estimate at a shop close to my work, the bill was going to be a LOT, don't remember the exact cost (again about 15 yrs ago), when I came here it was literally half. I crossed my fingers hoping it would look decent and it looked brand-spanking-new. I've been a loyal customer ever since. When Andre purchased the shop many years ago, he not only continued with the fantastic repairs and rock bottom prices, but he added a very comfortable waiting area which was sorely lacking, yes, I'm a girl and don't want to be around yucky mechanics' grimy work tables, nothin' wrong with dat, right? Now, I have probably had half dozen or more experiences with Zoom for one car or another and he still is the cheapest in town. Recently a man crashed my front light and fender while parking. He was so nice and decent to leave a note (I wasn't there), that I felt I had to do some due diligence and confirm Zoom was still the cheapest. I checked Yelp and took the car to 2 other shops before confirming yet again that Zoom could not be beat. Also recently had to sell my station wagon because our family grew. To get top dollar for the car, it needed some small fixes to the bumper. I explained the situation to Andre and after talking about about our options, he came up with a very good solution and made the car look beautiful! It sold for exactly what we needed, which wouldn't have happened if it didn't look brand new. I also recently brought my minivan after someone ran into me (I'm not going to list all my visits, but you do 'get' that I'm a "frequent flyer", right?). He not only fixed the rear bumper but also fixed up some other scratches with touch up paint and fixed the "skirt" on the front bumper which was hanging off improperly for a while (I had sorta forgotten about that). I accidentally rolled over a cement slab when parking my car in a stall and the front bender partially came off. I didn't know what to do so I drove into Zoom Auto Body and spoke with Andrey Isayan. He was very busy, but took the time to examine my car and recommended I tape the bumper temporarily until I could get it fixed. He went further to say that if I bought the tape, he would do the work at no charge. I was absolutely amazed at his generosity especially for a successful businessman. Zoom: to examine more closely or in greater detail; focus on. While this is the standard definition, this shop, it's owner and the guys working there are anything but standard. If you're like me and want people to work on your car with the same attention to detail as they would their own, Zoom is the place to focus in on! Seriously, I came in with a smashed up front end on a pretty expensive Benz, and it came out looking brand new. We had a little complication with a tricky factory certified part, but they went out of their way to make sure it was fixed...and even called to check up a few weeks after all was said and done. Zoom auto body is really amazing! I had my car accident earlier this year. It was my first car that I actually brought it myself and was crashed by a very big car while it is a very small compact car. So my back bumper was completely ruined. I went to get it estimated at many local auto body shops, no other places as good as Zoom. I even went to a larger company such as Marco in South Pasadena, they were not nice and helpful. As a transgender a certain places such as auto body shops are not places that you find yourself fit in. However, Zoom auto body is a very gay, lesbian and transgender friendly place while also maintain a very professional environment. In fact, I think everyone would really happy with services and hospitality from this place. Moreover, Andrey who is the manager was very helpful. At a time, I knew nothing regarding to car. He walked me through the procedures and explained everything very clearly. Plus, the service was very fast. I needed a car for school and work. By the time that I dropped off my car, there was a lady from a car rental company waiting for me. When i was in a fender bender and my car was sitting in my yard all beat up but still driveable for 2 weeks because my insurance sucks at getting in touch, i decided to take action and do research for auto shops because i was willing to pay for the work myself. I went on Yelp and found 6 companies all within in the Pasadena area. I took my car and got estimates. i sent them to my insurance and they then got in touch and said they could pay and i pay the deductible. I just had to pick which company i wanted to use out of 3 companies from the 6. I chose Zoom Auto Body because i loved the reviews and the way everyone talked about Andrey, well he lived up to them in person. I feel they honestly deserve their 5 stars. I took my car in and he said it would take 10 days but i got a phone call on the 7th day to say that my car would be ready tomorrow. it would've been sooner but one of the parts was late arriving (That's courier service for you). I went to pick up my car and its probably better looking than when i first bought it. Andrey told me that he buffed up and polished my other headlight to match the new one. From the moment I drove into their lot for an estimate to the time when I drove away with the finished work, Andrey and his son Allen were kind, friendly and so professional. My back bumper had some dings and scratches and needed to be replaced. Andrey took the time to shop around and find the best price on a new bumper. And instead of having me leave the car there for 3 days, he suggested that they buy the bumper, paint it and then call me when it was ready. Then I just brought in the car and they had the new bumper on in only a few hours while I relaxed with a coffee across the street at Starbucks. One more thing: I mentioned, just in passing, that there were some scratches in the paint near the door handles and wondered if there was anything that could be done. Andrey said, "Yes, I can take care of that for you. And I won't charge you extra." I have had work done at a few body shops in the Pasadena area over the years, but Zoom was by far the best. I actually found this location through Yelp. It had a lot of great reviews and bonus was that it was only a couple blocks from home. I messed up my rear passenger side door because a wall jumped into my way. Met Andrey and he gave me an immediate verbal estimate. I really did not want to go to other places to get competitive estimates for he seemed very honest. I took my car in on the following Monday and he said that he would try to have it done by Thursday but Friday the latest. He called me on Friday and said it would be done by the late afternoon. When I got the car, he showed me what they did and what is nice about his paint job is that he does not do masking, he takes apart all the molding so the paint goes onto all the metal. By the way, he guarantees his paint job for life. I had my other door done by another place and you can tell they did the masking. I would recommend this place to all my fellow Yelpers. read more

Let me preface this by saying that I can be very demanding and annoying -- I expect near perfect work product if I am personally shelling out the money. Andrey and his crew at Zoom Auto Body delivered. I came in with damage to my wife's Ford Escape extending from the front bumper, all the way down the passenger side wrapping around the rear bumper. Zoom took care of it in a timely manner, COMMUNICATED the entire time, and followed through on each and every promise he made. As to the shop itself, it is clean, well maintained and appears very secure -- not that the security is even needed, because the shop is in a good area of town (not like many auto shops that are in not-so-great neighborhoods). Also, the shop gives a lifetime guarantee as to the of the repairs, so that inspires confidence (not that I'll be needing it, based on the apparent work quality). I certainly hope that I will not need Andrey's services again, but if I do, I know where I'll be going. Oh yeah, and your car comes out with a a near detail-like washing and cleaning. read more

Having a car in LA is often a terrible experience. It starts all the way from the dealership, where the sleazy salesman is trying to nickel and dime you and patronize you. The drivers are terrible and nobody yields. You get nicks all over your car because people can't park properly. When you go to a body shop to get a problem fixed, they charge you hundreds, if not thousands of dollars to get scratches fixed. Zoom is different. I honestly cannot recommend a better place. I've used them twice already (not to do with my driving skills trust me), and am a real fan of this place. They are family run with Andrey running the shop. 1. PRICE It beats any other body shop. I guarantee you. Not by like $10 or $20, but most places quoted me $1000 when Andrey would do it for $400. I dare you to find anywhere cheaper. 2. SERVICE Andrey is a truly honest guy. People always tell me to be suspicious of auto mechanics as they try to take advantage of you with asymmetric knowledge, but Andrey doesn't do that. For example: I had some touchups in the bumper area. There was a new chip in a bumper that I never saw before when I received my car. I argued that I never saw it when I inspected the car, and that it wasn't my fault. Andrey offered to fix it up no question asked. A true gentleman. 3. QUALITY Impeccable. My car looked just as new. Look, this place has only 5 star reviews. And there is a very very good reason for it. Andrey is one of the most honest, service oriented guys I've ever met. First of all, I seldom write a review unless something really impresses me. I'm so glad that once again I decided to trust yelpers to try this place (it doesn't have many reviews but all the reviewers gave 5 stars). Being the stereotypical girl who doesn't know much about cars other than the basics (trying to become more savvy), 99% of the time mechanics/technitians try to sell me something I don't need while trying to overcharge me. But not this guy at Zoom Auto Body (too bad I didn't ask his name). I needed to replace one of the hedalight bulb and this guy replaced it in less than a minute. I first panicked that he did it so fast without even telling me how much it was gonna cost. So when I quickly asked, he said "don't worry about it, I just happen to have an used one that is just as good as a new one." WOW!! Never did I mention anything about yelp and he still was so generous and insisted I didn't owe him anything. So then I told him that I came because of the reviews on yelp and that the least I could do was to write a review. I was referred to this body shop by the man who accidentally hit me. He told me that the service was outstanding and that the prices are reasonable. He also said that they are very honest and polite. After hearing this, I decided to check them out on Yelp and I was impressed. I went to two other body shops to get an estimate (West Covina Auto body & Auto werks) but I was most impressed with the service that zoom provided. I was greeted as soon as I stepped out of my car. Andre was very detailed and honest with me. I especially like that he took the time to break things down and he made sure that I understood. He gave me a pretty accurate time frame as to when my car would be complete. The only thing I didn't like was that he told me he'd be in touch to keep me up to date on the repairs, but I did not receive any phone calls. I was only made aware of requests for more money through geico. Fortunately, I didn't have to pay for anything. I was very happy with the repairs. My car looked brand new! (well, on the side that was fixed!) Andre went an extra step and touched up the paint all along the driver's side and I had key scratches on both doors. This place did great work on my car for a price $50-$150 lower than the competitors. I had some damage to the bumper which required them to replace and repaint the entire unit. The end result was beautiful -- I think it even looked better than it did when I first bought the car! and the work was done quickly, and Andrey was prompt and professional with regular updates. The owner, Andre has sense of urgency. When I asked him that I need my car to be fixed same day he immediately checked the car if he can finish it or not. It was a very short time frame which the autoglass repair shop gave me. The autoglass shop was even surprised that he finished the job right on time. (Which later on, they told me they can't accommodate me. Anyway, this is another story. I will make a review regarding that shop. But in short, the autoglass Safelite across Andre's shop is not recommended at all) Zoom Auto Body is the shop to go if you have minor to major concerns regarding your car.
