We had an inspection company out to our home prior to our purchase, but they did a very poor job and have since costs us thousands of dollars in just the past few years. Most recently I had a problem with my septic tank and thought I was going to have replace the entire system. I had another Boise plumbing company come out and after hours upon hours of diagnostics we finally discovered where the pipes that ran from my house to the septic tank were plugged using an advanced camera system that ran through the drain. The other Boise plumber tried using a hydro-jet to open up the system but was not able to get it to drain.  I was originally told i would have to completely replace the existing pipes and it could cost me $10,000.  This wasn't something that my home owners insurance covered so to me it was a very scary situation.  I had a very helpful plumber in Boise help me call around and finally was able to find the Drain Pros. The other plumber i had originally working on the job was able to break down the nightmare i had going on with my septic tank over the phone. Drain Pro came out the next day to look over the problem. They felt confident they could fix the problem using some very expensive equipment that would unplug the pipes in the drain field using just air pressure. I faced a possible second mortgage on my house to fix this problem.  Lucky for me i had not one but two great Boise plumber services in my corner. It wasn't a cheap fix. They fixed the leak, and then sent out a plumber to check on why one toilet was slow in filling. Everyone has been exceptional, from the office staff we spoke with to the guys who fixed our problem. I spent 30 years in organizational development as a training manager in a large organization. I am not an 'easy sell'. This company has been exceptional.

We had a drain issue with our kitchen sink and we called this company. It was an after hours (5 pm)…read morecall and we were quoted $100 service charge. We figure this would be the case and is typical. They didn't give us a price on snaking the drain we figured that was because it would be a hourly charge. We said fine and they came 25-30 minutes later. The company that showed up wasn't marked as Boise Valley plumbing. It was actually Plumbing Solutions of Idaho? I suppose that means they contract out their after hour jobs but don't tell you that over the phone. Then we were told $100 service charge (same as before ). However it would be a flat charge for snaking the drain $350. So $450? If we said no we would have to pay the $100 and have to find someone else. That's not cool. It would have been nice to be given that information over the phone. This company doesn't snake through the roof vents. I only bring that because our previous plumber before he retired had done it that way. Due to the bad angles snaking the drain from the clothes washer drain or the kitchen sink is near impossible. We have single story house so it's easier and a direct shot to the basement. This company cut the clothes washer PVC drain so they could get the snake in and down at the right angle. He didn't ask to cut the drain before he did it. I knew it would be difficult but communication would have been nice. He then spent hour and half running the snake with two separate machines. We also got some lecture about not cleaning our drains. Yes, they got the work done. It was expensive considering the amount of time spent $175 an hour. Not including the after hours service charge. With a crappy fix for the cut drain pipe they made without asking first. Communication isn't great either. Update after he left leaving a disgusting mess all over the floor. We started to clean up. Obviously using water. Well the floor drain that is connected to the kitchen and washer drain backed up. I will say again because it also backed up when the kitchen clogged. Called them back up and we were told it's a separate issue and has a separate charge. So being stuck over a barrel we said fine come back and finish what you started. So if your over a barrel and have money to burn for plumbing expenses this is a good as a place as any to call. Never again.
