I really liked going there when it was Tropi Tan. But now DO NOT like it at all. Was going to Tropi Tan often enough that I could walk in and they already knew my name. And had me pulled up in the computer. Now it takes forever to get checked in. Today I couldn't even tan while I was there. Their system wasn't working. And now they don't open till 10am. A full 2 hours later than Tropi Tan. Very dissatisfied. read more

Zoom Tan took over this place and removed all beds and replaced with only Hex style. Makes the tanning experience terrible.

I am not a fan of Zoom Tan. I have been tanning at Tropi-Tan off and on since the 90's. We used to get 40% off of lotions if you were part of the sunclub. Now, ZERO! The lotions they have are WAY TOO EXPENSIVE! I have and would NEVER spend over $100 for tanning lotion. The more reasonably priced lotions around $30-40.00 aren't even comparable to bath and body lotions. They no longer sell lotions that are targeted for men, no tingle lotions, the monthly memberships are now $69.95 per month (50% off lotion that day ONLY). Thankfully I am Grandfathered in at $35 a month which used to also have discounts on lotion. These prices, no discounts, limited lotions with hefty price tags (upwards of $175) may work in your Florida stores but here in the midwest..... As much as I LOVE tanning, it's just too costly now and I simply can not justify the cost anymore. I miss Tropi-Tan!! read more

They're using Tropi Tan photos because they look way better than Zoom Tan actually looks.

What's on their website is not in the stores. Pay close attention. Also they don't take cash, they hold your credit card on file and if you don't stop your membership in time they charge your account again. And I was told I had to cancel by the 15th and when I went online this morning they already charged me. In addition 30 days later: I called to cancel my membership and I was told by customer service I was a day late. I wanted color for a special event, however, they already charged my credit card and refused to credit me. So when they send the "terms" of Zoom to your phone, make sure you carefully scroll the million pages and understand it before "accepting." read more

However since it's so close to my home, they almost always have a bed available and they do have good beds, I thought I'd give it another try. So glad I did!! There is a new manager who is GREAT! Very friendly and upbeat and seems to really know her stuff. I also noticed the salon is much MUCH cleaner and the staff also seems happier. The only reason they are getting 4 stars rather than 5 is because they do have a lot of turnover which I can see in that kind of job since it's mostly young girls. They are all very friendly but you Dan tell they got little to no training. They are fine with straight forward membership people who only have to chose what they want to do but if it's anything like merchandise or upgrade purchases or question they seem lost. I can't blame them because it really seems like lack of proper training. However even with that issues the salon is 100% better than it had been! I'm glad I decided to give it another try!

Come to find out, 3 months later I was still getting charged. I went into the salon and cancelled it. I still got charged after canceling it so I called customer service and left a voicemail. They never called me back so I next called accounting. The lady who helped me with accounting was named Danielle and she was very rude and condescending. She basically said this was all my fault because it was all in the fine print. Yes, I should have read every detail on the contract I signed but the fact that Tropitan is condoning their employees to falsely advertise their services is disgusting. I'm very unsatisfied with the level of customer care I have received corporation wide.
