Dr. B. Kelley was not qualified to draw blood and noted in my chart that I displayed odd affect by "almost laughing" at my symptoms! I did not find humor in the fact I could not eat solid foods for four days, nor the fact I was in a lot of pain due to digestive issues. I was scooted in and out without ANY information, diagnosis, or recommendation for home care. I was sent to another clinic for a blood draw, and 5 days later I can not get in touch with them. They happily took my $150 office visit fee, and that was the beginning and end of it. Extremely dissatisfied with Dr. Kelley's level of expertise and assumption that I did not take my health concern seriously. read more

This place is absolutely incredible. Scheduling was easy; they only have same day scheduling so if you want to schedule for the following day just wait until after business hours. Micheal at the front desk was extremely hefpful. Check in takes about 5 min and then you're in the room for your appointment. I saw Melissa Lavine for bronchitis/pneumonia. The appointment was straightforward and quick. I was out in about 15 min but it didn't seem rushed like a doctor with 100 other patients to deal with. There's a pharmacy on site so I got the medicine I needed immediately but it turned out I needed a chest x-ray. Micheal helped me out with a map and tipped me off where to go so it was a bit cheaper. He called me the next day to check if I got my other prescription and check on me. I got my x-ray results within a couple of hours and antibiotics shortly after. All in all, best healthcare experience i've ever had. It was quick and smooth and the staff was very friendly. I will definitely go back there next time. read more

I was visiting Seattle and had a sudden allergic reaction to something and dreaded having to find and visit an urgent care clinic in a city I wasn't familiar with. In the end, this turned out to be the best urgent care clinic I've ever seen. The woman at the front desk was pleasant and efficient. Checking in was unbelievably fast and easy -- they don't ask you to fill out long paper forms that no one looks at -- you just fill out a little bit of info on an iPad at the front desk. I was able to see the doctor within minutes of arriving and she was smart, communicative and helpful. Oh, and the place is CLEAN. I really, really wish we had ZOOM clinics where I live, in Pasadena. read more

The staff are very kind but be weary, they do not tell you on the phone that you are seeing a physicians assistant not an actual doctor! This has happened to me 3 times now. I just called and asked specifically to see a medical doctor and they informed me that no medical doctors work at the stone way location!!! I have to file a disability form which requires a DOCTORS diagnosis. Not to mention that the Pa's previous diagnosis of this condition was incredibly vague and no where near accurate. When you need immediate treatment for illness they are alright but for injuries I would highly suggest going elsewhere. read more

I had an excellent first experience today at zoom care. I made an appointment on my phone, arrived 15 minutes later, and was seen almost immediately upon my arrival (before my scheduled appointment time). Chelsea Allin, PA was thorough but quick, and very friendly. I was in and out with a prescribed medication in my hands within 15 minutes. I especially liked how easy it was to pay. I had entered my credit card information when I made the appointment and they were able to use that for my copay and prescription without anything further. So efficient. read more

Really dissatisfied with the quality of care that Zoomcare delivers. I've been to the Wallingford clinic twice, to have my required immunizations completed for my graduate program at UW. Quick and painless for any healthcare clinic, one would hope. I am also a federal employee, and receive one of their standard healthcare packages. When scheduling my first appt., the customer service rep told me that they are an in-network provider with Blue Cross Blue Shield and that the copay would be minimal. I was checked in and out very quickly. Saw Melissa Pew both times, who is probably the friendliest, most sincere and knowledgable PA ever. After the first visit, I was calmly told that my insurance could not be "verified" and that they would need to charge me full price for the visit, $141. It was also slightly discomforting that the receptionist drew my blood just minutes beforehand. I was a little put off by this to say the least, expecting a $25 co pay for a simple labs/titers and a ppd for school. Dont worry, I was told, because I'll get a refund. Adding insult to injury, I was phoned minutes later because they "forgot" which arm the ppd skin test was placed. I called back the phone # left on the voicemail, which turned out to be the main Zoomcare hotline, and had no idea how to reach Melissa directly to let her know the correct arm. On the second visit, for my last ppd skin test, they again could not "verify" my insurance and I was charged $118. I refused to pay this, and presented with my explanation of benefits from blue cross blue shield from the first visit which clearly stated that my portion should be $25. They said ok, I waited for a while, and somehow the total was reduced to $38. Not sure where that came from and it was still not $25 but at that point I just wanted to be done with this clinic for good. On the flip side the clinic is very clean and would be a great last minute option if you have nowhere else to go. But, you'll be charged full price if they cannot "verify" your plan. My first visit was on 12/17, and as of today, 1/8/14, I am still waiting for that refund. read more

David- Perhaps you reviewed a different chart, while what you say is correct, it was not the Dx I was given. The bacterial sinusitis would have been the correct Dx, and a round of simple antibiotics would have been great, instead your staff member gave me an initial Dx of a viral infection. I have had bacterial sinusitis every other year or so and I know how the infection presents in my body. I specifically stated that my husband was about to be traveling for 4 days and I have two small children under 3 so I really needed to address the infection quickly (thus the only reason I would visit a zoom care vs. my primary care physician). A simple z-pak would have made a huge difference in ~24 hrs. I did not have time to wait 7-10 days to see if just 'managing my symptoms' with a nasal spray would be beneficial. Or to wait to call back for an antibiotic because indeed it was a lingering bacterial infection. Furthermore, to have a clinic Rx a nasal spray that they carry in-house over one the patient indicates has worked nicely on symptoms in the past is again a poor standard of care. To push a product merely because it is carried in house, and zoom care won't run Rx via insurance, is a profit center, not medical care. I'm sorry, but the service rendered was below grade and unacceptable. Whether I feel better or not, you can rest assured I will never seek medical input from a zoom care facility again. Unfortunately for your clinic, you are apt to run into quite an educated patient crowd in Seattle. Sell your substandard care elsewhere (or better yet nowhere, as no person deserves that treatment level). I registered on Yelp merely to provide outstanding reviews for two professional interactions I've had the pleasure of working with over the last year. I never wanted to leave a negative review, however, after this experience I felt disappointed and compelled. I went in for a sore throat / ear ache. Wanted to check for an infection or strep -- really busy at work right now & wanted to nip anything really bad in the bud. To put it bluntly, my PA was very bitchy/rude/snobby during my appointment. After my appointment, I waited a while to check-out and pick up some sudafed. While I was waiting, the PA proceeded to examine another patient in the waiting area?! for severe head pain. (Not professional or legal???) They went into details about her condition... I looked over out of concern and the PA gave me a dirty/bitchy/weird look? She recommended the girl (college aged?) go to the ER, and the girl (w/ her bf) asked where the nearest ER was. The PA walked away, and I offered them a ride out of concern -- I thought they didn't have a car or something. I think the PA heard me offer the ride as she walked back in, and the PA gave me another extremely bitchy/weird/dirty look. (I'm a midwestern transplant, and I treat folks with kindness... especially kids! My siblings are in college for goodness sakes, and I hope that people would help them out.) I eventually walked out instead of continuing to wait to check out. I expect bedside manner when I go to see the doctor. Not snobby/bitchy attitudes. Hate to say it like that, but I'm pretty upset and it gets to the point. read more

WARNING - only use Zoom Care if you don't mind anyone and everyone who works for Zoom Care to have access to your medical files. I called the only phone number they have for all locations so that I could speak with the provider that I recently had an appointment with. The random person who picked up the phone to answer, immediately pulled up all my records and labs and began asking me what sort of questions I had because she had pulled up my records and was looking at them. I'm sorry, but who are you? I don't know you and did not give you permission to look at my medical files! Also, the only way she identified me was from my last name and birth date!!! Anyone could know that. I am horrified and appalled Zoom Care allows this. There has to be some HIPAA laws being broken here. The woman who picked up the phone didn't identify herself as a medical professional with any accreditations, and even if she did, I have no clue who she is and do NOT want her accessing my private health records. Sadly, my appointment with the health professional was great, but having a random person pull up my health records without my permission without some sort of security question to verify it's me, threw any positive experience I had out the window. read more

I might never go back to a standard medical office again (you know, the ones where you have to make an appointment several weeks in advance, wait half an hour past your appointment time to see them, and they're only open from 10-4 on weekdays that start with the letter T)! I needed a standard Rx refill and anti-malaria pills for an upcoming trip to India - Tracy on the phone (you can book an appt online, too, but I wanted to make sure I could both Rxs in one appt) booked me a same day appointment, check-in with Bailey was simple, and Brianna was quick, efficient, and friendly and got my prescriptions done. I like that they use a laptop in the treatment room with you to confirm that there aren't any contraindications for what you're taking, and there's a Walgreens right across the street where you can fill the prescription. I've already booked my husband an appointment for his own prescription. One thing - if you're running late, read the fine print because you'll get charged a late fee if you're more than 5 minutes late and don't re-schedule for the same day. This didn't happen to me since I live nearby, but the standard 15 minute grace period doesn't apply here. read more

I had the flu out of town and for $160 I got all the advice and prescriptions I needed. I was aware of all the charges ahead of time -- you pay up front. On top of that the entire experience from my first phone call, to picking up my prescriptions was all done within three hours. Some other reviewers have commented that they were 'overcharged' about a hundred bucks and there was some confusion about insurance. Have any of you ever gone to a normal ER or hospital? With all the tests and scans the bill can quickly become several thousand dollars. Of course the ER does not have up front pricing -- you get the bill at the end. (Surprise!) In the context of other medical options, Zoomcare is efficient and cost effective. read more

Erin Naidu (PA-C) was absolutely amazing. I came in feeling absolutely miserable, in throbbing pain and one step close to just going to the ER. I was able to get a last minute appointment via the phone and was able to see someone right as I walked through the doors (after a nice greeting from the receptionist). Erin went WAY above and beyond what I ever expected. I was suffering a pretty severe side effect from a surgery I had just one day prior. Unfortunately, the procedure they would need to do to make things better wasn't something they typically do in house. Erin saw how much pain I was in and took the initiative to get into contact with the surgeon who had done the work as well as speak with her colleagues to determine an effective treatment plan and proceed with fixing my issue. Needless to say, less than 30 minutes after I arrived, I was feeling a GREAT deal better. Thank you so much Erin! I was having a miserable day and it looked as though it was going to be a pretty horrible night. You made everything all better and prevented a trip to the ER and possibly even a grown man from breaking down and crying right there in the middle of the office. ZoomCare was an excellent choice when I had a UTI and needed to be seen ASAP, without going to an ER and without the wait for a primary care physician. They're perfect for these in-between cases, and very respectful, friendly, and helpful. However, I'm going to keep searching for a normal primary physician/OBGYN because I'd like to see someone a bit more invested in my personal wellbeing, especially when it comes time for things like pelvic exams. Seems like you should know the person poking you and saving you from kidney infections a little better than one can get to know the in-and-out folks at ZoomCare. read more

Worst experience ever. I actually walked out of this clinic paying $90 without any tests run!! Incompetent doctors and mostly useless staff.\ BE WARNED - THESE DOCTORS DON'T KNOW ANYTHING. they are just trying to shovel people in and out. Doctor (Melissa Pew, I believe) did NOT give me correct information about my health. She mentioned that 80% of people test positive for Herpes, therefore it is not necessary to test for Herpes as it causes a 'false alarm'. In actuality - 80% of people test positive for HSV1, but only 20% test positive for HSV2...HSV2 IS SIGNIFICANT. Such a serious instance of significantly informing patients. These people saved this girl's life!! Well, okay not my life but it sure did feel like it after my visit. I don't have a primary doctor and since my body decided to have a dilemma over the course of Christmas weekend I couldn't wait till Wednesday or Thursday to get a simple antibiotic. The website makes it extremely easy to book your location/appointment time, set up an account to access all the notes, Rx info from your appointment! They also take just about every insurance out there and the rates are extremely reasonable. I was initially a little leery about the standards of what kind of doctor(s) would be there, but once Dr. Naidu came up front to greet me and take me back I was in very competent hands. i never felt rushed during the time with her and she thoroughly went over my health history and diagnosis. The best part was being able to get my prescription right there without the hassel of getting it filled elsewhere. I really do hope to do more of this chain expand in the Northwest, with 14 in Portland I think its time to conquer Seattle with it's exemplementry easiness and service!! read more

Quite simply the best medical care I've ever received. My experience: -I signed up for a 10am appointment 8am of the same morning(online) -I arrived about 10 minutes early and was checked in immediately, despite their official hours not starting until 10am -before I could even finish pouring my cup of water, they were ready to see me -by 10:15 my visit was complete. I had my checkup, two prescriptions, had paid(the lowest medical bill I've ever seen), and was on my way -I needed an additional prescription later in the day, which they phoned in to the local Walgreens -They also called about a week later to make sure that I was doing OK All in all, Zoomcare was able to take what was an extremely painful condition and provide me a silver lining of sorts. From start to finish, their care was remarkable, and at a price far lower than I expected. read more

I've had a fair amount of experience with the healthcare industry in this country -- and make no mistake, it's an industry -- and I had low expectation going in here to get a knee injury checked out. I knew it didn't warrant an ER visit and a $2,000 bill, but I also didn't want to let it go until the next appointment opened up at my local clinic in two weeks. I'm really glad I went here. First of all, I was able to make an appointment for 90 minutes from the moment I opened their website. I was greeted very kindly by someone at the front desk who took my insurance card and ID and offered me tea while I waited. Not that I could have drunk any tea, though, since the PA who would be seeing me showed up about 30 seconds after I took a seat. She took me back to an impeccably clean room, asked a few questions about my medical history, and took a look at my knee which was bothering me. And here's the best part -- with my insurance, I walked out of there with a $13 medical bill. Truly amazing. They did order an X-ray for me, which I've yet to get done (and I'm sure Swedish Medical Center will find a way to charge me lots for that) but the overall experience at ZoomCare was astonishingly good. read more

I have never been so pleased with any other healthcare experience. I was able to schedule an appointment the night before and register my info online. I was in and out within 15 mins, prescription in-hand. Walgreens is located around the corner, so I was able to walk it right over there. The following day, I received a follow-up call from my physician's assistant who was checking in on my progress. I don't think I will ever go back to another "walk-in" clinic ever again. Everyone was friendly and Michelle Pew was amazing. I was in and out before 11 and I was able to get medicine right there instead of making it an adventure finding a pharmacy and waiting for it. I really love ZoomCare! I've been in for various things--I don't know if I'd go there for any really complicated health issues, but they've basically become my primary care provider at this point. I continue to be impressed with the low hassle factor and really competent care. I've had appointments with Melissa and Juli so far and would recommend both (I'm partial to Melissa, mainly because I've seen her more often.) The biggest, pun intended, reason I'm really happy with my experience is because they seem totally on board with a health at every size approach. Unlike basically every other health practitioner I've seen, they aren't skeptical when I describe my lifestyle (healthy by any standards other than weight!) even though I'm fat. It's awesome to not have the answer to all my health issues be a patronizing stream of "yes, but have you really tried losing weight? Maybe if you just worked out more and ate less your food poisoning would go away?" I'm sure there will be plenty of haters furious that I dare be fat, healthy, and happy, but this review isn't for you! It's for my fellow fatties who are looking for weight neutral care. If they weren't so awesome then I would have to dock them a start for messing up a prescription, but I'm not sure if it was Zoomcare or the pharmacy who was at fault since they blamed each other. They made it right fairly quickly at least! And they totally earn that point back by having PARKING!!! (in the garage right next to their entrance there are 2 spots for ZoomCare, and there's always been at least one open when I've gone.) read more

I was here on a Sunday when my doctor was out of the office for a routine case of strep throat. They did tests for strep and mono, a CBC, and sent a culture and two blood samples to an offsite lab for more testing. I paid for my visit, was told that all charges were taken care of, and left. Several days later, after I had already seen my regular doctor at the Polyclinic, who diagnosed me correctly and started me on antibiotics, I received messages from Zoomcare saying that every test had come back negative. Weeks later, I received a bill from the off-site labs for over $100 for tests. I confronted the desk worker, the same man who had said I had paid for everything. He told me that the lab processed its billing separately and that the bill was correct. Not once did anyone mention that I would get a surprise bill from them in the mail during my visit. They failed to correctly diagnose a common illness, loaded me up with lab charges that I didn't need, and didn't bother telling me that the lab would bill me separately. Do not go here. read more

Great customer service at the front desk. My father was visiting Seattle, from Hawaii, and caught a pretty bad cold. He was having issues with his insurance, and Annie at the front desk helped out so much. She explained the situation in a very professional manner, and my father was alright with paying the full cost. Afterwards, she did additional investigation to try and find him a clinic that accepted his insurance. She did not need to do this, but it resulted in figuring out how to code his insurance so that in went through as 'in-network' with ZoomeCare. His co-pay for the office visit went from $170 to $20 for co-pay and medications. Annie went above and beyond in helping us. The doctors are also fantastic, and very helpful. I've only been going here since the begging of this year, but I will continue to use ZoomeCare as long as I can. read more

My first 2 visits were fine. First one got in right away, 2nd one I had to wait for about 20 minutes in the waiting room, then got in. Today I went in with my sick 2 year old...was 6 minutes late. They refused to see me and told me to come back 1.5 hours later. WTF? Do they realize they I have a sick kid and that we live in Seattle!? I spent a good 5 minutes behind a big truck on Stone way just going 2 blocks. VERY upset - left work early to do this...and they wasted my time. Will not go again and will be VERY vocal on other social media avenues about my experience. read more

When I came to ZOOM I was really ill. My chest hurt and I have had pneumonia in the past. I explained that I had been sick for a full week and my symptoms were getting worse. I also explained that I don't spike a fever until I am REALLY sick. I would not come to a clinic on a Sunday morning if I didn't need it. I was told that I have allergies. Are you kidding me? Allergies? Brand new for the first time in my life at 32 I have debilitating allergies. No. By the time I went to my doctor the very next morning I had a 101 fever, breathing problems and a serious bronchial infection. I was given antibiotics, an inhaler, and a nebulizer treatment before I even left the room. I was very sick and I needed antibiotics. Your NP told me I was fine. If I would have listened to him, I'd have pneumonia right now. I was charged 90 bucks for Flonase and a decongestant. I feel like I completely wasted my money and time. I am frustrated that I came to see you and was pretty much pat on the head and sent away. Not everyone is a hypochondriac. I needed help and I didn't get it. I will never visit ZOOM again. read more

For those reading this, I have a Premera plan and was able to select my specific type of insurance when I signed up online for ZoomCare. If ZoomCare knew it wasn't a contracted plan, I would highly suggest flagging that through your website. (Once I arranged for a ride to ZoomCare and showed up in person, it was much more difficult me for to re-arrange my plan, given you wouldn't take my insurance.) Also, if your medical director agrees that the PA should have done essentially nothing, then I would hope you do a better job at screening out inappropriate visits on the front end. I like the idea of your business (I came from a region with Walgreens Take Care Clinics, which were FANTASTIC), I just think ZoomCare has ample room for improvement. read more

This is far and away the best experience I've ever had with an urgent care place. It's clean, conveniently located and the folks there are super nice. I had a pretty straightforward problem (eustasian tube infection from flying) but it was making me super miserable and dizzy. I went in without an appointment, and the dude at the counter was very professional and organized. No one was in the lobby, but the PA was in the back with another patient. The lobby was clean, serving tea and the wait was less than 10 minutes. The PA on duty (Melissa) asked all the right questions, answered by questions with confidence and got me the meds I needed. Unlike other urgent care places, they gave me the meds on the spot (no waiting at the pharmacy) and the electronic billing and medical records were super handy. I was surprised that I had only a $20 co-pay - same as seeing my own doctor. Its enough to make me want to injure myself again. I'm kidding. That would suck. read more
