Estate Tasting $30 for 6 pours; ZOTO Flight $25 for 6 pours (purchase of 2 bottles waives 1 tasting fee) First time visiting and had an okay experience. Rustic tasting room located in a long building housing several wine tasting rooms. The tasting room and bar itself were very clean and there's plenty of parking in a private lot. WINES: Atsushi poured for us and was nice, but not overly friendly. We did learn that they produce about 2,000 cases across three labels. The wines we tasted were okay but not really fitting our palate preferences. That said, I always state that wine tasting is subjective to the individual's palate, but service is not. The wines I like/dislike, you may hate/love. I always suggest that you try and decide for yourself. We did get to try and purchased two bottles of the 2023 "Lover Girl" Late Harvest Chardonnay, as we love dessert wines. Overall, not our style wines so probably wouldn't stop in again. read more

We came here on a Monday afternoon and were happy to find that they were open. So many places in the area are closed on Mondays! The guys serving the wines was nice and talk a bit about the wines as he poured them, which we always appreciate. I love that they are dog friendly and they had a check in offer for the tasting, which was a bonus. The tasting room isn't huge, but I liked the decor and it was nice and cool. I didn't love all the wines, but I really enjoyed the Syrah and the Reserved Pinot Noir. I thought it was really cool that they had a map of their vineyard with all the different varietals that they grow and in which area. When we arrived I really thought this was out somewhere but it's next to the road. Their is other tasting rooms but we drove out here and went inside only one lady working. I'm going to be honest at first I felt like she was annoyed and was very short with us and didn't even explain anything. Then she seemed to warm up and was annoyed at this couple sitting in her tables who weren't even tasting there. It's fine whatever I'm there to have a good time and try some wine. The experience ended better than what it started she told us about other wineries in the area and told us a bit more about the wines. The menu in the pictures is dated this was the most recent one. My favorite Pinot Noirs are from Sta.Rita Hills. Out of the blue we decide to drive up to the Lompoc and particularly Tyler Winery. They were closed and open by appointment only! Well the great thing about that was, we stopped at Zotovich tasting room which is right next to it, along w/ several other wine tasting places. There must be a dozen places right there. We only stopped at 5. Of the 5 tasting rooms we stopped at, Zotovich was my favorite! I only tried the Pinit Nior's so I cannot refer, or comment on any of the other wines offered at any of these tasting rooms. That being said, my favorite Pinot from Zotovich was the "Barrel One" 2nd was the "Private" and then "Cluster". So I ended up buying some bottles to bring back home. Thanks to Zotovich I have now found some new Pinot Nior's I love! All and all the sevice was good informative and friendly. Fortunately for us, we were early and the only ones there. Our bachelorette party of 11 started at this winery on our Ghetto tour, and in my opinion, Zotovich set the bar very, very high. The owner's parents were running the tasting room and made our very large party feel welcomed and taken care of. They allowed us to sit in the room (behind a secret door disguised as a shelf!!!) commonly reserved for winemakers and served us cheese and crackers with our tastings. They shared history of Zotovich Cellars, as well as some advice and musings about marriage. They were so wonderfully accommodating and friendly. As for the product - we came in on Memorial day weekend, and lucky for us, they were in the middle of a transition and we were able to taste many of their wines. They were great! My favorites were the Viognier and Syrah. Thank you for starting us out on the right track, Zotovich Cellars! We'll have to order more online and have it sent out to us across the country- THAT good! read more

Won't return. Wines were decent, but the server (Jason), was rude and unhelpful. He poured a glass and I asked him to tell us about it. He said " It's good, and it's good for you". I asked how long he had worked there and he said 3 years. Then he walked away. All pours were the same. He would say the varietal and walk away. He had 2 friends that he was conversing with inside and we seemed to be keeping him from them. 1 star, Zotovich. We won't be back. read more

Pathetic customer service. Their website states they are open 7 days a week, so when we drove all the way from Santa Maria and found it closed, I called. Their message said they are only open by appointment on Thursdays but they had same day appointments available, just leave your name and number. I left 2 messages and never got a return call. I will not go here again. I won't deal with a business that can't be bothered. Correct your website so others don't have to deal with you poor customer service. read more

Wonderful wine tasting experience. The tasting room is cozy but spacious and very welcoming. We were extremely impressed by the quality of the wines. The tasting fee was reasonable ($10 for 5 wines) and waived if you purchased a bottle from the list. The staff member alone would have made our day. He was informative and down-to-earth. Doing wine tasting in Lompoc during the NFL playoff finals was a great way to have the whole place to ourselves. This new wine tasting room for Zotovich Cellars is beautiful - located on the front end of a huge new production facility. Tasting rooms near or in the places where wine is made is my favorite - either on the vineyard where the wine comes from (ideal) or in the industrial spaces where the grapes are transformed. This really gives you a sense of scale and hard labor that goes into wine making. Lompoc as a city is really is Anywhere, U.S.A. - a middle-class, blue collar town that is sandwiched between a military base and vineyards. But this gives it a unique character. As more wine tasting rooms open and high-end amenities are added, the area seems to be accelerating its transformation. Zotovich Cellars is a solid winery that will hopefully maintain a strong presence in this community as it becomes more congested with newcomers. Definitely a must stop on the wine trail. Excellent expression of Sta. Rita Hills AVA for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and also colder climate Syrah. read more
