This store is kitschy as hell, and I'm here for it. Fete-ish is quirky, silly, and probably the most "fun" store in the Bishop Arts District. I don't think I'd want my entire home to be decorated with stuff from this shop, but for cute little accents, this place is a hoot to browse. Art, holiday decor, candles, gifts, jewelry, etc. This store is all over the place, but connecting it all is a thorough-line of whimsey. I left with some awesome wall art of retro-future laser guns, and they look fantastic in my home. I saw a number of other cute touches that I think would look great in my apartment, but alas I was visiting and had but one suitcase. The staff was so friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I didn't get the store owners' name, but she'd tell you that some shop dog is the real owner, so I guess that's ok. I would 100% return to this shop to browse and maybe to just chat up the lovely staff.

Outside the shop. FYI the dog is real and comes to the shop once a week!!

Cute store, went shopping for my best friend's birthday. Shop owner was there and was helpful in finding the perfect gifts for her. Got good vibes being in the store.

A can't miss in the historic Bishop Arts District! So many fun, eclectic items to look at, my aunt and s-i-l had to drag me away. This store is spicy! There's no doubt you'll walk away with a cute gift, or decorative item for your home. This isn't a ho-hum boxy store. The layout is original with lots of little surprise areas around each corner, filled to the brim with the most unique items. The emphasis is on local artists, reclaimed materials, and fair trade finds. Truly a gem!

On Friday night after a lovely dinner I stumbled upon this adorable shop. All decked out for the holidays, I was amazed by the whimsical decor. Between two great hangouts, Fete-ish is a cool little hangout of it's own. In addition to selling all kinds of home accessories, hysterical stationary and even cute baby toys and clothes, I heard that on occasion you can pop in and get a drink while you shop! I spied lots of local art pieces, thousands of Christmas and holiday decorations and cute and quirky gifts. It was hard to get me to leave! If you've got a friend that's hard to shop for, rest assured you'll find something for them here.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this store in the BAD!!!! Sandwiched between Tillmans and Oddfellows, you can't miss it. It's has rainboots in the window. Anybooties, it's kind of a cross between a museum gift shop and your favorite little chachkis store. I mean, they have everything. Candles, incense, framed art, one of a kind paintings, pet stuff, beauty and bath, bar ware, cookbooks, aprons, lotions, flasks, baby stuff, little decorative crap like sandals (random) and martini glasses and of course my personal favorite...naughty cards. I mean NAUGHTY. Hilarity will ensue when you read. My girlfriends and I were practically peeing in our pants. The guy changing light bulbs was laughing at us. It's just a great store. My friend from out of town bought a great photo of a longhorn bull in a field, "Very Texas" she said. Right on. The guys that work in this store are soooo nice. You could literally walk around for hours and not see everything. So much to look at. OH! They also have those napkins and cards with the old pictures (like from the 50s) with hilarious captions. Love. Celebrate the art of gifting! That's their motto. I agree friend.

    Fete-ish facade.

Love. Love. Love this super classy unpretentious gift store. There are cards. Some candles. Scarves and rings too. But the specialty of the house de Chad are the slightly edgy, bathroom humor, body part games, mugs, or underwear. Come to this store to laugh, be entertained, especially if you are in the area and need a pick me up. No one can resist the cheeky gum containers with a range of silly, pun intended, political zingers galore by the cash register. Heck just walking by to see what theme rocks the store facade is enough reason to stop by. Probably every two months, there is new decor to gaze upon.

Cute little store, we stop here every time we come to the Bishop Arts District. They sell a wide range of gifts, trinkets, boutique items, you name it. Today I bought a cute little pug purse, whose company donates 5% of its sales to Heart and Home Animal Rescue Foundation; some hot sauce made by a veteran owned company called The General's Hot Sauce; and a cute dog tag that says "Cute AF" for my dog, of course. Lydia was so helpful today and so kind. Though every time I've been to Fete-ish, I've yet to meet someone who wasn't welcoming and kind. If you've got the time, check them out.

This store is breathtaking. First off - the facade is always changing according to the current holiday season and is a large scale site-specific paper-machete installation. That alone, makes me simultaneously want to be the owner's friend and extremely jealous I don't own the store and think of amazing creative ideas like that on my own. The store is overflowing with entrancing objects perfect for any gift to yourself or a loved one. Candles, kitschy, semi-inappropriate greeting cards, beautiful baby gifts, quirky napkin rings, or even just to grab a cocktail on a Friday night whilst getting lost among the sea of fun goodies. Retail therapy at its max! I can't wait to have a reason to go back and just ooh and ahh over every amazing item. My favorite in particular is the Alphabet collection wall piece. That is my dream gift. Maybe, I need to take the boyfriend next time...

Such a hodgepodge of wonderful items from candles, art, pet clothing supplies, nic-nacs. Great gift items of all sorts even for babies! Every turn there is something new and great. Such a great jewel of a shop in the bishop arts district. Look forward to my next visit!

Lydia was incredibly friendly and informative! Helped so much and didn't seem pushy at all, just a new friend telling us about the products!

I love that the store is curated in different sections from the gifts for dad, to gifts for pet parents, kid's stuff, etc. Frankly this is one of those store you can walk five or ten times and I am sure every time you will see something new and unique. During my visit, I did purchase some cute stuff to bring back home to my family as souvenirs. However, they only reason why I am not giving them a full five stars is because I do think they are on the pricier side. I've seen some of the stuff they carry at other stores and they weren't as expensive as it was here (maybe it's a Dallas thing, I don't know). Regardless, I would still come back to this store for a fun and unique gift for a friend or family!

I was initially looking for Dallas branded specific items which they didn't necessarily have but they had some other neat stuff which I found amusing. I ended up getting a pair of funny socks and some cool magnetic bookmarks. The most amazing part aside from the great friendly staff is the incredible complimentary gift wrapping of your items. I was really impressed with the amount of attention and care given to the wrapping of my gift. Really thoughtful and no way I could have done better.

I always try to shop small businesses, but I don't normally come across ones that will make exceptions to their no return policy. Kudos to this business! The item was beautiful and hand-beaded so the quality this store offers was never an issue. I still have an issue with being followed around and being watched like a hawk the entire time I was there. I hope they talk to their employees about how uncomfortable this makes the customers as I would like to come back here if I was back in town.

BEWARE! I bought a cape and some shirts and when I got home and tried the items on the chemicals from the factory they were made in caused an allergic reaction (nose running, watery eyes, throat closing up) and my mom had the same reaction as well. The cape did not have a tag that states the materials of the fabric or the country where it was made. It's as if they removed it. When I went to return the items the staff got really worked up and emotional about it and they sent a manager to talk to me and I think she was just told to tell me she wasn't going to refund my items no matter what. (I had receipts, all price tags were attached, and it was within a week of purchase.) I told her I had a reaction to the clothes and she said she wasn't going to question if my reaction was real or not but no one has ever had any problems with their clothes before. Then she asked me "What's the REAL reason you want to return these items???" I said, "They made me sick?!?!" That seems like a reasonable reason to return something. I also told her that if they don't allow returns they should tell people before they buy things. She said I would have known if I would have reviewed the bottom of the receipt. I asked her how seeing the policy on the receipt would have helped me know not to buy the item since you don't get a receipt until after you buy the item. How would that change anything? She goes, "Well, it wouldn't. It' wouldn't matter because you would have already bought it and all sales are final." I asked, "If I asked for a return immediately after being given the receipt and seeing the fine print on the bottom would I have been able to get a refund?" She said no and realized what she was saying did not make any sense. Then said they aren't required to have the policy posted anywhere in the store. I informed her that they absolutely are. By law. Then she said other shops around here don't allow returns and don't have signs posted. I said, "Well that is illegal." She said she didn't know anything about that and wasn't going to look into it. Eventually they agreed to give me store credit and they said the owner would call me and let me know if they decided to refund my money or not but it's been several weeks and I haven't gotten a call. No surprise there. After this experience I never want to buy anything from this store or their other stores (Houss on Bishop and Home on Bishop). **UPDATE** a few days ago I saw the EXACT same cape I purchased from their store for $170 (the item that did not have a factory tag) on amazon for $45. BEWARE OF THIS STORE!!!
