This is the Dentist we all dream of finding someday! I recently had a capped tooth fall out. The dentist that put it in has retired so I did some Yelp research a found a dentist not to far from where my wife and I live and went to see him. He said that the tooth had to be be taken out by a Periodontist and a post put in taking three months time and costing $5000! For $175 he put a "temporary cement on my tooth saying it would only hold for a few weeks. A few weeks later it fell out as predicted. Since I didn't have $5000 to spend on tooth repair, I did a more diligent search and found Ron Zufalls office that had very good ratings and all the reviews were super positive! So I called to make an appointment to get another opinion on my situation. To my surprise the receptionist gave me three or four options and the approximate costs of each and offered to get my X-Ray's from the other office so I wouldn't have the expense of having them re-do them. Made an appointment, and then met some of the nicest people on the planet including Dr. Zufall and all of his staff, most of whom have with him a minimum of ten years and his assistant who went to work for him right out of HS and has been there more than 20yrs! They all love their jobs and their workplace. Most dentist's offices I've in are quiet and almost somber. Not this place! Peals of laughter were to be heard throughout the office by employees, patients and Dr.Zufall. Long story, but hang in there, Dr.Zufall examined my crown and the tooth which was supposed to hold it a pronounced them both sound and said he could put it back in with "permanent" cement and said it should be good to go! Cost... $135! It's experiences like this that was so 1950's that just makes you glad were alive that day. Dr. Zufall and his entire staff there for the patients and how much they can bill you. Dr. Zufall and his practice have been providing dental services for my wife and I since the mid1990s. Since we began visiting his practice we have both been very appreciative of his caring, informative and professional approach to dental care. His Dental Hygienists and Dental Assistants also provide the comfortable and professional care we expect. Procedures and alternatives are always explained ahead of time and we have never been disappointed with the results. We also appreciate that appointment times seem as important to them as they are to us. I highly recommend this dental office, and after seeing one not-so-good review, believe it must have been intended for another Dentist as it bears no resemblance to Dr. Zufall's office or staff - and no I am not a relative! :) read more

I would recommend Dr. Zufall to everyone! He has done everything possible to keep me free of pain for the past 25+ years, which is not an easy thing to do, and always checks on me after a major procedure to be sure everything is okay. There is not a better dentist anywhere, and his office staff and hygienists are superb. Shelly is always on top of things and providing reminders. Deb has so willingly billed my insurances, helping me receive a considerable amount of money back that I did not expect. She's also great at figuring out costs and what is the best way to go. Cindy is my hygienist and is always so thorough and friendly. Dr. Zufall is also a wonderful person - so involved with his children and Boy Scouts and schools. My husband and I LOVE him! read more

My family and I have been a part of the Redding community for more than 40 years. In that amount of time you get to know the businesses and services very well in our tight knit community. My experiences not only for myself, but my family as well with Dr. Zufall have been nothing but excellent. Dr. Zufall has always taken care of my family as he would his own and that has made each dentist visit relaxing and easy. We have come to know Dr. Zufall and his staff very well over the years, and I would have to say he is the best dentist in town. I read the other review by Naomi it certianly sounds off-key; perhaps written by someone needing more like mental health treatment. My entire family and I have been patients of Dr. Zufall for over ten years now. He and his staff are both very professional and caring. I myself had issues with dentist before but we are extremely pleased with Dr. Zufall and his office staff. Of course he is busy because people go to a great dentist first. Dr. Zufall always takes the time and really does care for his patients. His staff is fantastic and it is a pleasure to go for an appointment. I was from out of state and had a painful tooth. I looked on-line, and because it was during a holiday, I could not connect with any dentist. Dr. Zufall's office was the only office to return my call. I looked at his ratings and almost cancelled because I saw two bad reports and they were about pain - my worst fear! I am not sure why I didn't cancel, but now I am so glad I did not. Their office staff handled me with care and respect and Dr. Zufall was the most gentle dentist I have ever been to and I am 69! The most important thing to know is that after having a procedure done on a troublesome tooth on a Thursday, Dr. Zufall personally called me Friday afternoon to see how I was doing and if I was in any pain or discomfort. He said if I had any problems or concerns to call him right away on his cellphone over the weekend. I've had calls before from dentist offices to see how I was doing, but NEVER from the dentist themselves. His staff is the same way, caring, helpful, thorough and professional I can't give Dr. Zufall and the entire office a strong enough recommendation. They are the best. read more

Dr. Zufall is my idea of the perfect dentist. Without exception, he and his staff have always done their very best for me. I was there again today for my semi-annual checkup and it was another great visit. He and the staff are highly trained, do their job well, and make me feel very comfortable right from the moment I walk in. I read the extremely negative review by Naomi O on 7/9/2010 and believe it must be a fake by a competitor dental office or a high school prank. For the last 5 years, All 4 members of my family have experienced great dental care by Dr. Zufall and his staff. He is caring, gets the job done, and doesn't waste our time or money. I've even had to call him after hours and he has been very accommodating. He gives back to the community. We are lucky to have him as our dentist. We highly recommend him. read more

My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Zufall for approximately 15 years. We both go in twice a year for checkups, and in between for problems. Neither of us has ever had a bad or painful experience in his office. Ron is a great dentist, and is very easy going and gentle. He explains everything, and goes the extra mile checking for abnormalities around the neck and jaw areas. His staff is also top notch. They are all caring and professional. read more

I was referred to Dr. Zufall by a buddy, said he was pretty good, so I thought I'd give him a try. I hadn't been to the dentist in a while so I was a little nervous. Anyway, the people there were nice. The teeth cleaning and x-rays and all that were fine. Dr. Zufall took his time and explained stuff to me. Overall, I agree with my buddy, and I'll go back. Wish he had some different fish in the tank though, but hey, I'm picky about fish. read more

Dr. Zufall has an updated, professional office. He has modern equipment, like digital x-rays that make the visit shorter and easier. I have had several hygienists and all of them are gentle and friendly. He is very gentle and thorough and is encouraging about the state of my teeth. He even saves me money since I don't have dental insurance. His charge is a few dollars more than the average dentist but he is worth it! read more

My husband and I recently moved to Redding and needed to find a new Dentist. Dr. Zufall was recommended to us by a friend that grew up in Redding. I have been very impressed with the caring dentistry and pleasant atmosphere in Dr. Zufall"s office. I highly recommend this Dental office to anyone in need of a Dentist. Just had a very pleasant cleaning last week. The hygienist (she's new) was excellent!! One of the best cleanings I've had in years. The staff as a whole are so friendly and the office is currently decorated for the fall season. Not many medical offices can feel some much like home! Changing dentist can be scary. I have been with my dentist for over 15 years, but it was his time to retire. Dr Zufall and his staff made the change easy, comfortable, and smooth. Dr Zufall has been my family's dentist for 15 years and he is awesome! He is gentle and very expert at his craft! Unfortunately I have had to have fillings, crowns, and work other than the normal cleanings and checkups and he and his staff are awesome- I highly recommend him!!
