We had their BBQ Chicken Pizza, topped with chicken breast, BBQ sauce, fried onions, and bell peppers. It was a pretty good pizza, with the ingredients complementing each other well. I usually prefer a thinner crust but this one was good. We also had their Mojo Burger, a massive flavour packed 8oz beef patty, topped with bacon and cheese, fully dressed with the works! It was certainly huge and delicious, cooked perfectly! We also had their Onion Rings, Fries, and Gravy. They were good, although I would have preferred a lighter batter on the onion rings.

And it's apt that the husband-and-wife team named it after their daughter, because they've obviously poured their heart and soul into this place. The menu is deceptively "comfort food" - pizza, burgers, chicken, salad. But given that the chef used to work at Four Seasons, this is nowhere near run-of-the-mill taste and quality. Over our many visits here, we got: - Burgers (meat): We got the Classic Banquette and the Mushroom Swiss. This will sound crazy, but the goodness starts with that dome-like potato bun. It's homemade, puffy, and absolutely tasty. It's so good it's worth ordering by itself to bring home. As for the burgers, the patty is a good size and homestyle crisped well, the cheddar cheese is standard, and the veggies are generous (for the Mushroom Swiss one, there are looooooads of mushroom). Burgers go with side fries (surprisingly addictive) which can be upgraded to a side salad or poutine (generous gravy, squeaky curds). - Veggie Burger: OMG this is easily one of the best veggie burgers I've had in the city. I don't know how else to describe it but to say the "patty" was like a super tasty smoky samosa. So good! Got this one with onion rings which were sweet and not overly battered. - Breakfast Sandwich: Again, that delectable dome of a potato bun, highlighted even more as a sandwich. I find peameal bacon hit-and-miss, but this one was good. And there was a generous amount of egg, cheese and veggies loaded up in this breakfast sandwich. - Margherita Supreme Pizza: An in-between pizza. Not quite homestyle, not fancy-schmancy, not quite puffy American, not quite super thin Nepolitan. The crust is crispy without being cardboard-y, the toppings are generous abd always fresh. Also liked how there are 4 different sizes to choose from, and their large is old-school LARGE. - Chicken Wings: Got this in the maple sticky sauce and I'm glad I did. Not overly sweet, not overly sticky, the wings were uniquely sweet/smoky and the type that leave smear marks on your face since you just keep devouring them. - Chicken Fingers: More hands than fingers given they were so huge! Not overly panko-ed so you can really taste the juicy chicken meat. This comes on a bed of those addicitve fries. - Rose Lemonade: Absolutely refreshing. Would get this in the depths of winter or a scorching summer day. Prices are extremely reasonable especially with the care and quality you get. The place itself is small, but they have a great street patio outside (perfect for the summer). What really make Samaira though is its owners. The last few years have been hard on small businesses the world over. And yet here is a couple who goes in everyday, treats their food and customers with the utmost care, and works as hard as they can to give you a memorable experience. The gyro plate had the classic sides (pita, lemon potatoes, rice) and all were solid. The gyro itself - and the most important - was absolutely delicious and some of the best I've had. I think the platter was about $17. All was very reasonably priced, even when not during the lunch special. You can dine in and though you order at the counter, they service on real plates and the (optional) rate of tipping isn't pushed nearly as high as most places. Hello foodies today I bring you a mixed bag of reviews from this small italian and portuguese…read morerestaurant. I would say its primarily takeout but they have one or two tables inside. They are located in a small plaza on the north side of Qieen st behind a gas station with plenty of parking . They serve your typical fair with pizza. Pasta , hot sandwiches, and Portuguese grilled chicken ... Today I ordered three sandwiches, the veal sandwich with hot peppers, the italian sausage sandwich with grilled peppers and onions and the Porruguese Chorizo sausage sandwich plain. 3./5 rating on average for all three sandwiches even though they were not all equal in quality and taste. Let's start with the veal as I feel this was the worst of the three. For a guy who has tried practically every veal sandwich in the GTA I think I know what makes a good veal plus I am half italian. Raring 3/5 a very large sandwich great portion size with I think two layers of thin cut veal could of used another layer not typical . However very hard not tender at all most likley overly deep fried, correct preparation is a shallow fry so it dosnt get hard , i found it very hard to bite through the sandwich because how tough the meet was. The second let down was this was definitely not home made tomato sauce very very acidic canned sauce . If you never had another veal sandwich it's probably not bad but in comparison to much better in the GTA it falls really short Italian sausage 2.5/5 is my rating again great portion size big sandwich several sausages cut in half in sandwich with some really tasty grilled peppers and onions , but again this sausage was not fresh very hard overcooked and probably sat in fridge then reheated days later making it very hard and difficult to bight through not one bit of tenderness...and same issue with the canned sauce extremely acidic.
