He scheduled surgery for me. I decided to go back to Dr. Barr to examine my eyes to evaluate my condition. He told me there was a tiny cataract and my vision was almost 20/20. He said you will not live long enough to need a cateract operation. I then went to another opthalmologist who said, You do not need cateract surgery. Your vision is almost 20/20. Besides being a great doctor he could not be nicer. My husband feels the same way. We have been going to him for over 10 years. Further his office assistants are lovely and very helpful.

What was supposed to take 3-4 weeks took over 9 weeks with over a 1/2 dozen excuses over that period of extra time, & although I was offered a free pair of glasses as compensation, which I accepted, & specified a certain type of lens (basic sunglasses, not prescription) & picked out a frame that fit well, what I got was a damaged demo/display frame & a cheap imitation substitute brand lens. Their excuse was, the sunglasses were complimentary... & now I have to spend yet another ~3 hours driving to & from to try to get that fixed, with no guarantees. If I had only known... next time, I'm going elsewhere to a (more) reputable & competent facility!

IMO April is a terrific practitioner. She listens well, is open to ideas that I have about my health and provides honest opinions about those ideas. So far she has made accurate diagnoses when I have been sick and for my medical conditions, I feel that we are working together to control and improve them whenever possible. Additionally the nurses and front desk receptionists have all been professional and personable. The one issue I had a couple of years ago was handled by the Manager and I was very satisfied with her solution. Overall, Choptank Health in Cambridge has been a very positive experience.

I had to go in for a 3rd appointment as he got my prescription wrong for my 2nd visit. He was very dismissive of my concerns as i had called prior when the prescription was flagged online (yes it was wrong). The receptionist stated it was correct but did not consult Dr. Snow. When i brought this up at my 3rd appointment he could have cared less. His staff is very rude and unfriendly. When I was in my 2nd appointment his assistant said she hurried up and entered the room to avoid getting yelled at. Clearly this office and Dr. Snow are a bit of a mess when it comes to human interaction. I just don't know how you could hire someone (assistant) so cold, rude, and lacking in personality as the assistant. Perhaps she should explore a career in accounting and not deal with humans. I was also told I had a balance when I went it for a past balance, however I never got an invoice or bill in the mail. I don't even know what I was charged for. I will not be returning.
