We are new to the Redmond area and I took my son into Zumiez yesterday to get some new wheels and such for his board. Eric was absolutely amazing. He jumped on the board to get a feel for what my son was needing. Eric was honest and so helpful. He told my son that he didn't believe he was in need of new wheels and bearings and didn't want to take our money for something we didn't need. Eric also suggested we come out to a skate park he frequents. My sons is more than excited for today at the park. I am more than happy with the Redmond Zumiez and Eric and the staff. I came to this shop with some friends when I flew in for a visit and we were waiting to get into a restaurant. We weren't really looking to buy anything just looking to kill some time really. After browsing around for about 15 minutes or so and chatting up the lovely sales associates....we ended up buying goofy hats off the clearance rack that had the words "pizza" in red lettering....I wore it when I was in Taiwan because I wanted to blend in with the local and not stand out as a tourist.....well it turns out speaking lousy mandarin will give you away EVERY time.... I don't write reviews unless I've had a disappointing experience. But here I am writing this one against my typical MO to give special recognition to this Zumiez shop and it's employees. Eric, Stonzi, Nick and gang were incredible in helping me locate a particular skateboard deck. They bent over backwards to help out making calls, wheelin' and dealin' with other shops, etc.. I have always had such a great experience when I have stopped by this location. I was super excited to be able be offered the TOMS in Ash & Dark Red to be ordered online w/free shipping. I was kinda bummed that they werent in stock because its B1G1 1/2 off & Ive been wanting both colors for a while. The employees had such great attitudes & were knowledgeable about processes that it made me not as bummed. Worst customer service I've ever experienced at a Zumiez. Right when I walked, in there was a salesperson walking around up front but no greeting, just walked away. I saw a shirt I wanted to get but it was up really high so I waited for someone to help me. The store was not very busy at all. I stood there looking awkwardly up at the shirt rack for awhile, clearly needing some assistance. After almost ten minutes of waiting I asked the girl at the register if they had the shirt I wanted in a small, she than said, "if you don't see it, it's probably not there anymore." than she returned back to what she was doing. She didn't even look and didn't even bother suggesting to look in the back. I guess I'm just used to better service at all the other Zumiez I've ever been to (Bellevue, Alderwood, Northgate, etc). They are ususlly super friendly and very helpful. I will definitely not be returning to this location. read more

Just bought some swim suits here and the manager was so rude. Didn't offer to help or show me where anything was and when I asked what the return policy was gave me attitude about having to have the receipt and the tags on the products when I return them. Never shopping here again. I tried to take a photo of the receipt with my phone just Incase I loose it and she said I needed the physical receipt very rudely. The when I left she said "have a great day" super sarcastically. Figured in 2019 Zumiez would have a better return policy then this. I spent $120 and was treated like shit. Also when asked about if I get a discount cause it said buy one get one 50% off she said to the other employee ringing me up "make sure you discount the cheapest items" wtf read more

There is no reason to fight the crowds at Bellevue when you can come into this store. The guys are lovely and super helpful...they always looks after me when I buy for my son. I went to Bellevue once and walked out and headed to RTC to buy from here. read more

This Zumiez is awesome!!! I live in Woodinville but make the trip to the redmond Zumiez. The employees are so helpful and always get me what I need, and then some haha. I didn't used to like this Zumiez but recently their has been a staff change and they are just great. zumiez sucks but i needed some new wheels, bushings and bolts. i wanted spirfire f4's, 1.25 FLAT ALLEN bolts, independent soft bushings. so i went there and the girl brought out bones, spitfire classics and some other wheels. they didn't have f4's so i got the classics. then another day i needed bushings/bolts and the silver T tool. didn't have the silver tool, he brought out (he acted like a poser) some 1.25 non- allen, non-flat bolts. i guess they didn't have flat ones. so then they didn't have the soft bushings. just the medium indy's. then i went in there to see and now they have everything i wanted. wtf? after i bought it all. -.- read more

A huge shout-out to this location for its awesome employees. During our recent visit, my teenager had set his sights on some checkered Vans and he about started drooling when we walked into Zumiez. Employee Mason could sense the urgency of the matter and was quick to greet us, and as if he could read my son's mind, guessed his shoe size and darted off to retrieve a pair for my son to try on. Mason was very friendly and fun to talk to as we kept him busy dashing around the store and even up a ladder to access more inventory since my son felt the need to evaluate several pairs of Vans, not only for size, but to determine whether each style would hold up to the critical test of the middle school hallway coolness factor. When said teenager finally landed on a pair that would ultimately earn him the coveted title of Middle School Fashion King, he then moved on to clothing, inquiring to an always-cheerful Mason about all sorts of shirts, hoodies, and socks. Mason knew the store like the back of his hand and promptly and efficiently ushered the deliriously happy teenager to exactly what he wanted, much to the dismay of my wallet, haha. Mason was upbeat and knew very well how to handle the teenager's two younger brothers while we shopped--he made sure they had an array of free Zumiez stickers to sort through and was very patient with their inquisition-style questions that they bombarded him with for the duration of our visit. Mason is the kind of employee a store owner would be proud of. We had a very happy experience shopping with him -- his expertise and kindness take the cake. Thanks, Mason! read more

My daughter was in this store with a friend just looking around. As they were walking out the door, the clerk insisted on going through her purse, "just to make sure" that everything was "fine." He refused to let them leave until he had searched her purse. Being a young adult, she didn't realize that she had the right to refuse and allowed the man to look through her purse and personal belongings. He found nothing and eventually let her and her friend leave. She spent the night at her friends house and I was informed of this event at the conclusion of the weekend. We had been regular customers of the store until this happened. We are not thieves and have never before been accused of such. nor has anyone been suspicious of our behaviors. Not only is this an extremely offensive experience, but I believe it is illegal for the store staff to have behaved in such a manner. My children have been advised to contact local police if this ever happens again, either at Zumiez or any other establishment. We will NEVER shop in another Zumiez anywhere again. Her friend was shocked at the request as well and now most of their friends are refusing to shop there too. There are plenty of other retailers out there that want our business and they will certainly get it. read more
