I am pretty sure it's just this place, JCPenney, Macy's, and Nordstrom's. I guess fat people aren't hip enough for Bel Square. ... Anyway, I have some likes and some dis-likes about this place. My biggest dislike is that the quality can vary from fine to awful. I have one pair of pants where when i bought them the hem fell down immediately. I went back to the store to ask for a refund, and they offered to pay for a tailor to repair them. So i had a tailor re-stitch the hems, and then Talbot's reimbursed me for the costs. So while the hem on my pants has been great, that's hardly due to Talbot's quality. And then I have another pair where within the first month the hems fell down and i have to resew the button every few months. I have a couple of shirts that stretch and fall unflatteringly, and i find that tops can be too short here, considering the trend in plus size tops for more length. And then i have some pieces that look and feel exactly like i expect them to. I had just always been told that quality was the justification for why it was so expensive, and that's often not true. If there is some flaw in the merchandise, like with my pant hems, Talbot's will refund/exchange for you even if it has been used, just don't go back a year later, and don't go back for a button falling off. Try to hold on to your receipt/tag, they can't refund you if they don't know how much the item costs. I would also say this shop is best for business wear or the more conservative dresser. Hip is not really the theme here. Expensive, definitely. Not Armani expensive, but comparable with Nordstrom's. They can have really great sales though. You can sometimes get an item for up to 75% or so off. They have plus size petite wear. I think Nordstrom still only has a very small selection of these, and Talbot's has a dedicated section. They do try to have many of the items available in Misses sizes available in plus, which is not always the case with a lot of stores. I find that i really do look older and more conservative in their clothes, so i think i may be done with shopping at Talbot's for now.

Just an update for those thinking Talbots in Bellevue Square has closed this is not true…read more I did try to visit the store on Thursday March 5, 2020 during regular business hours and found the store closed. No note on the door and all lights out. I phoned the local store and left a message inquiring what the hours of operation were going to be. I later saw in Yelp that others had reported the store closed. I received a phone call today from a Talbots staff member explaining a last minute corporate email instructed them to close for deep cleaning purposes due to the recent virus that has surfaced around the nation. Please understand this was purely out of an abundance of caution and no staff member or threat of illness has surfaced at the store. So...long story short..Talbots Bellevue Square location is still open and operating under normal business hours. Yay!! Thank you Talbots Bellevue Square for taking the time to return my call. I should have known it would initiate a comedy of errors that would make me relearn the forgotten decade-old lesson. One item from my online order didn't fit, so I decided to return it at the nearest store, which is in another county. I prepared myself for the trek by making a shopping list of jeans to try on, confirming on their website that all were in stock at the store (jeans are something you really need to try on, buying them blindly is a gamble). All plans were thwarted when I entered the Silverdale store. It would be my last visit to any Kohl's; read on. The return went fine, other than their deducting $8 from the refund of the $35 item. I understood it was because I received Kohl's cash to spend, and that's fine. So let's go shopping! I was unable to locate any of the items on my shopping list. Since I neglected to pack snacks and a compass, I asked for help. The lady from the register made an effort to look around, but said she didn't recognize any of the items, and they never stocked them. Bait & switch, eh? Strike one, Kohl's. Determined to make the journey count, I searched for some jeans to try on. Leafing through a bizarre size distribution of XS to XL with squat in between, I found 3 whole pair that might remotely fit. But rut-roh, the fitting room was closed! After the predictable goose chase, I came in contact with Keeper of the Fitting Room, and kindly asked if I could enter her barricaded domain to try my 3 items. She said no. Really, no? I don't want to make another trip out here. She insisted, no, she was busy. Final word. Too busy with only one other customer in the store? How do they stay in business anyway? Strike two, Kohl's. Not wanting to waste time fighting it, but not wanting to waste time coming back out either, I summoned my inner bluejean rebel and tried on those jeans right there on the ghost down they call a sales floor. Turns out nothing fit right anyway, so I saved myself another two hour round trip. Fed up with the store, I went home to find something random online so I wouldn't lose my $25 Kohl's cash. Logging in, I found a cruel surprise - $12 Kohl's cash had vanished, along with my patience. In a last ditch effort, I found a $12 clearance tank top to spend my remaining consolation prize and be done with it. Then the free shipping coupon errored out, "try again later." Not in the mood to spend $8 shipping on sheer principal of getting my money's worth of random crap I don't need, I tapped out, down my original $25 coupon + $8 shorted on the refund. Yeah, I know, the house always wins. Strike three and Kohl's is out. It's no wonder the store was deserted. Limited selection, employees on permanent coffee break and pitfall policies. Silverdale Kohl's would better serve the community as a big, stupid, empty monument to apathy, which it probably will be before long. Buh-bye.

I somehow got lost as I was trying to get her off my tracks and asked a worker how to get back to the mall side which she was super helpful. It was sad to see that this type of store was surrounded by homeless people outside. It does discourage people from entering. But there were homeless people all around the area.
