We wound up putting off the project due to the pandemic, so had a lot of time to consider our options. We decided that along with Klam's quality came peace of mind, and so secured them this winter. The team came out and finished in two days; were awesome and frankly we are still shocked by how clean the site was after they left; they did a great job of clean-up! Also have to say we so appreciated Katie in the office; she is highly communicative and we had a clear idea of schedule thanks to her. PS, this alone is another plus for Klam; two of the other companies we'd looked at went totally silent after their visit and one became super pushy. Total professionals here. Which brings me to another key point - Klam was one of only two contractors (of the four we interviewed) who were honest about the condition and cost. Now, we knew going into it that we had FOUR layers of roof up there - literally decades of previous owners doing their own DYI patchwork fixes. Really interesting/disturbing to observe that two companies told us there were only two layers, and casually mentioned "more" would be charged "if" they discovered extra. Klam was the only company who said straight up, "There are four layers, and here is what it will cost." We of course opted for their clear, no surprises estimate. Abel and Jairo from Klam were the only ones who looked in our attic space and discussed ventilation with us. The Klam bid was inline with other bids that did not include adding any ventilation. We went with Klam and they were able to get us on their schedule more quickly than we expected. The crew arrived on time and were all very nice. They kept the job site clean each day and spent a lot of time after they finished making sure they had picked everything up from the yard. Abel and Jairo came by again at the end to make sure we were happy, which we are. Absolutely recommend them.

We disc the project and he said he would get back to me in a day or so. After 3 days of no response from them I sent a follow up though the Yelp conversation. Never heard anything back. Yes he has the correct contact info. My guess ie that he didn't want the job. If they want to do a job, just say so. Not professional at all to not respond. For this I had to give them 1 star. thats only because he showed up quickly to review. UPDATE: Hector got back to me and informed me of the issue with the delay. Once he came, he showed me that the door was crooked, and other quality oversights that I was already skeptical about but didn't question from the first install. I ended up having the door re-installed by Montano Construction properly this time as well as having a storm door added and we were very happy with the results. Quality and attention to detail was really good and I feel comfortable knowing my door is not cooked and the little details regarding weather protection and structural integrity were accounted for. They also cleaned up the debris from the install. They could've charged me more considering the time it took to get everything up to their quality standard, but charged the initial quote. If you want quality work done right the first time, hire Montano Construction!
