This has been one of the best meals we have enjoyed throughout Ireland after several visits. Wow. Make a reservation to ensure you get a spot. It can be busy and you really don't want to miss out. Did I mention, WOW? The end.

We sat in the back at a comfortable table, the seating is spaced well enough to provide privacy. The sound level is also comfortable. For drinks we ordered a port wine and a local stout. Both were satisfying. Our starter of mussels was absolutely superb. The mussels were sweet and tender. The sauce that bathed the fish was really delicious. I ordered the spicy Spanish fish stew. The fish were truly fresh and delicious. The stew sauce was a bit spicy and also excellent. It would have been a great soup on its own. My wife ordered the halibut served with a mushroom sauce. The sauce was great, the fish was high quality and fresh, but it was absolutely tasteless. The preparation by steaming unfortunately ruined an otherwise very good fish dish. Our dessert, the Sticky Toffee Pudding was really good. It has lots of flavor and whole sweet, wasn't overly so. I would have wanted to give Doyle's 5*. But with a very expensive entree being mediocre, it would not have been honest. We told the staff our impression and to their credit, they were completely receptive. I would absolutely return for another meal here, but would be careful to ask how the specials are prepared.

We had dinner here our first night in town; even though it was late September, we rapidly learned…read morethat dinner reservations are required and can be hard to get at many places in Dingle. Fortunately, we were early enough that we were able to get in here. We saw many turned away shortly after we arrived. Heads up that they have signs pointing to two entrances for the restaurant, but the one on the left side of the building is the correct one. The sign on the right side of the building leads into the kitchen. Yes, we found this out the hard way! The menu features local fish and shellfish and they also serve some local beer and cider. I went with the monkfish and prawn curry and it was very good. The fish and prawns were sweet, flavorful and cooked perfectly and the curry didn't overpower them. The description said the curry also included vegetables, but other than a garnish, these seemed absent. Others in our group enjoyed their fish as well. They had sides of vegetables that weren't seasoned so I'd suggest coming here for the fish, which is what they do very well. As with many places, they were understaffed, but service was fine for our purposes. The atmosphere is casual and includes a fireplace that is likely lit in cooler weather as it did look like a true working fireplace.

The chef(s) should be very proud of this one. The wagyu burger sent me to another realm. The party must've had minced onion or seasoning mixed into the meat which gave flavor in every single bite. SERVICE Delightful and welcoming servers. They were on it with replenishing drinks and asking how everything was. AMBIANCE From the outside, the place appears very unassuming. It's nothing that will catch your eye, but if a local or guide is kind enough to tell you about this place, you're in for a treat. Inside, it's a small-to-medium pub experience but plenty of attention to the dining area. That's what you're there for. Cozy and intimate, and you're only an arm's reach away from the bar. They do not accept American Express, but all other cards. Highly recommend!

The service was the same, friendly and laid back, while taking care of our table. We ordered an app and a main from their specials. Both were very good, fresh seafood is a Dingle special. We ended with our first sticky toffee pudding, it was very good, though I have no other comparison. Nice option for a visit to the wonderful Dingle peninsula.

Situated directly across the road from Dingle Bay, Boatyard is a seafood forward local spot that…read moredefinitely has the vibe of Dingle! Based on a recommendation, we made sure to add Boatyard to our itinerary while visiting Dingle. We grabbed a late lunch, both got fish and chips, and one of us got a cocktail. The fish and chips were tasty, not the best I've ever had. The fish was well fried and flaky sided with your standard chips/fries served with ketchup and house made tartar sauce, which was honestly the best part of the dish! Service was friendly and welcoming from entry to exit. The space is cute with a large main dining room up front with lots of natural lights and large windows looking g at the bay. There is a cozier dining room inside, along with two outdoor spaces once more formal than the other. The front patio looks great, but sadly du to weather and season, it was closed. Overall, we enjoyed our meal at The Boatyard. Definitely recommend it when in Dingle!

They did not have enough staff to accommodate how many tables they had sat. The waiters were not the most friendly as he seemed annoyed when we did not have our drink orders ready 4 minutes after sitting down. Not to mention we had one drink menu and four people. Then for the food. It was terribly small portions for the cost. The quality of our meals was not great, especially for the price. We ordered the Atlantic Seafood Platter with the extra half lobster. The lobster actually never arrived and hadn't even been placed on our bill at the end of the meal. We never asked for it to be brought out since we were over it by the end. At one point a server actually placed our scallops we ordered as an appetizer in front of me, took them, and placed them at a nearby table without a word. Apparently the table next to us had ordered the same appetizer but she ordered it first, so it was taken from us and given to that table. Very unprofessional service. Our scallops came out 8 minutes later. Overall it is a skip. Many other seafood places are nearby. Dingle is just simply not the best place for fine dining, so I would opt for something more casual and cheaper while dining here. Their drinks were good though. Not to mention, this is the only dining spot in all of Ireland to verbally ask for a tip.
