During the heat spell and after the Jays game we rushed to 00 to get a gelato and quickly get on our last GO train. We didn't really have the time to try some flavours or even check properly this literally a hole in a wall place late at night. We tried the Mango Plant Based/Vegan Gelato, pistachio and a salted caramel. Family loved the pistachio and SC flavours. My mango was OK. Tasted exactly like I was having an Ataulfo. Good flavour and not overly sweet. Would have preferred an Alphonso mango. There limited flavours available, unlike some places that have 20/30 flavours. They apparently have been in business for more or less than a decade which is good as well.
Gelato was SO good, made fresh daily! Check their Facebook page for flavors. Service was so quick and the store is literally a closet (not even!) on the outside of the Hyatt. 1 person can be at the "counter" at a time. I suggest the tiramisu in a waffle cone!
They sell gelato and sorbet. Their seven flavours rotate daily! The shop is extremely small, like a hole in the wall; you can only fit 2 customers inside. There are a few small tables and chairs outside. You can sample a few flavours. I ordered the Peach Cobbler Gelato (single $6.25). It was very peachy! ;) The peach part is a little too sweet, but it is offset by the cobbler portion. The customer service was good. They are open May to mid-Sep each year, for 10 years now. There is no free WiFi. The store is barely wheelchair accessible. There are no customer washrooms. There is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2024-176
Adding this to my list of favourite spots for gelato! We got the pistachio and lemon cookie. Pistachio had a great nutty flavour and paired super well with the lemon cookie. The lemon cookie was the perfect amount of sweetness and was also a bit tangy. Service was amazing! I actually wasn't sure which flavour to pick and thankfully they were able to recommend me the pistachio and lemon cookie.

First off, this isn't a typical gelato place where there are a lot of flavors. There were only about 6-7 so if you're picky, this isn't the place for you. I ordered the strawberries n cream gelato and it was super refreshing.
Rich gelato with the downside of being a window shop and having only three small outdoor seats. It's nice to walk around but it's also nice to have the option to sit down and unwind with gelato. Gelato also seemed to melt fairly quick, even at night. Otherwise, rich and delicious. Richer - the nutty chocolate flavor was fairly unique but there could've been better chunks. I got a small taste of shredded hazelnut every once in a while but would've appreciated more. Chocolate - rich, strong chocolate that's super creamy. I mean it's chocolate so not much to say besides tasting higher quality than store bought!
I'll be honest. When I first found this spot on Yelp I was a little weary. I think it was the photos that threw me off. However, when I ended up with a sweet tooth on a Thursday night while staying just right around the corner, I caved. 00 Gelato it was. I arrived to find a small walk up window with seating reserved in the street. They also had fun music playing to keep a fun vibe going. A line was quickly forming and I jumped in before it got too long. There were about eight customers in front of me and the line moved relatively quickly. They had only a couple flavors available and you can get it in a cup or a cone. I opted for the pistachio in a waffle cone. It was fairly priced and definitely deserving of five stars. I ate every single bite of it and would totally stop by again if I found myself in a similar situation in the future.
Excellent gelato in an unassuming location. Not the best I've ever had (not the most fair statement as we've traveled extensively including gelato hopping in Italy), but hits top 10-15%. Limited selection of flavors but they were extremely well executed. They have a few seats outside on the street plus a little recessed patio area around the corner. Would come back again at least to check out their flavors.
While the selection of flavours wasn't impressive, the quality of their gelato / ice cream did not disappoint. I had a pistachio ice cream in a cone and it was a perfect way to call it a night. Prices are reasonable. Service was good. There was a line-up but it's to be expected when only so many gelato places are open late on a weekday. Overall, solid 4 stars.
It's a teeny tiny corner shop that serves 4 gelato & 3 sorbet flavours. Scoops are an average portion for $5, getting it in a waffle cone will cost you extra. The servers are nice about giving samples. I got the Ferrero Rocher Gelato and it was a DREAM. Tons of chocolate and hazelnut chunks. Their formula worked well with my lactose-sensitive tummy too!
OhmyGelato! Situated right downtown this was a excellent find on a warm day as we wandered back to our airbnb. They had 4 or 5 flavors to choose from, and a little something for anyone taste: cheesecake, hazelnut, strawberry sorbet, etc. I settled on a medium hazelnut + pistachio... and I should have just gotten a small. Delicious and rich gelato filled me right up, but it was so good I couldn't stop! If you're in the area be sure to stop by and pick up a scoop. The hazelnut w/ chocolate cookie (?) bits inside was especially delish. ps. this little spot is so small that we legit walked right past it. The sign could only be seen from one direction which was part of the problem. If you're headed east down King St it'll be just past Starbucks and closer to the Widmer side of the block.

I stopped here on Sunday and this place is tucked away right on King St West and is in a great location for all the people at the Toronto International Film Festival. It's very tiny and has no seating but you don't exactly need a table to have some delicious gelato. There was a good size line when I walked up and I'm pretty sure everyone got the Oreo which meant I could not sadly, however I did get the peanut butter chocolate and it was seriously some of the tastiness gelato I've had in years! I highly reccomend this place to anyone at the film festival or venturing down King St!
Right in the theatre district! No fuss, no muss! Line goes quickly and jelato is delicious! A small size was enough for two of us to share A super small bump in the wall, enough to literally fit one freezer. But I guess that's all you need! (Desserted 09/08/2025 MO @ 7:30pm): Oh oh oh... I had a bond with this gelateria! I was in town for the 50th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), and as I explored the cuisine landscape, I constantly walked by 00 Gelato steps from the TIFF Lightbox. I just polished off an amazingly satisfying meal at nearby Pai Northern Thai Kitchen, so I strolled around to work off some of the weight I undoubtedly gained and to fend off any potential food coma before my next movie screening. I preferred gelato over ice cream because of its density, flavor, and richness, and in most cases, gelaterias usually made each flavor in small batches and changed up the options daily; that was the case here, too. Did 00's gelato rank higher than their name!? PURCHASE Medium 2 Flavors Ferrero Rocher & Pistachio + Waffle Cone (47.75CAD + $1.25CAD): Limited on flavor selections, these were the two that caught my tastebuds' attention. If you were familiar with these respective flavors, they were completely on point from aromas to actual pieces of each ingredient to how they tasted. I felt the portion size was a bit lacking, and the presentation had little to be desired, but it was a yummy dessert nonetheless. Had their lemon ice tea gelato and it was perfect! I was looking for something refreshing after dinner, something not too heavy. And this flavor delivered. It was light and not tart at all, considering it was lemon flavor. Only drawback was the limited seating. read more

Sweet boys working here and amazing gelato that sells itself! You can taste all the flavors and then decide if you need one, two, or three scoops. You have to get the two scoop option if you want two flavors, though. And a single scoop will be more than enough to satisfy your craving for gelato! I had the peanut butter chocolate, Ferrero rocher, and strawberry sorbet on my first visit. This was probably more ice cream than I needed in three days, but it was a warm evening and I wasn't going to let this delicious commodity go to waste. I returned the next day to have a single scoop of the ferrero rocher (with a smidge of the strawberry sorbet on top - thank you kind ice cream scooper!) They are located right outside of the Hyatt Regency on King St. literally attached to the hotel's facade. This is a must have for a hot day in the city! read more

You know that term, size matters? Well in this case, it doesn't! In less square footage than the average bathroom, OO Gelato serves up some pretty good stuff! I tried the berry cheesecake and Ferrero Rocher. Not only were they ultra smooth tasting, but they weren't overwhelmingly sweet like ice cream can get. This is still a fairly new establishment so there's no menu yet. It's being worked on. Don't be shy, these guys are totally friendly and easy to talk to. They've got some pretty sweet beats playing to draw in the crowds. read more
This place would rate higher if it wasn't for unbearably loud music they keep blasting. I assume its so people don't linger around and they can have a higher turnover. Now for the gelato it is decent and is miles better than the other spot nearby which seems to be the rave around here. The flavor selection is limited (6 if I recall) which is fine given its a tiny spot. Decent spot to get a gelato fix in this area. read more

Expected a regular-sized store based on all the great reviews! We came here after dinner a week or two ago. The two people there were very friendly and it seemed to be a family-run business between 2 siblings. My friend and I both ordered the cookies and cream small cups of gelato. Good portion size and very delicious- I liked that it was both vanilla and chocolate flavor with chocolate cookie pieces. Nice gelato at a nice price :) read more

Cute little gelato shop along King Street West. This is a great place to visit if you are taking a summer stroll and want some sweets to cool you down. They have a mix of flavours from chocolate to mango sorbets. After trying out the gelatos a few times, I recommend going with the milk based flavours (i.e. chocolate, ferrero rocher, etc.) as the taste is more prominent versus some of the sorbets which are a lot less flavourful. Most people usually stand around the shop to eat but there are some patio seats near the King Street Social building right beside the shop. Overall a good choice "fro-yo" gelato cravings. read more

This place is literally the size of a closet + outdoor seating that's located around the corner, down the stairs! The unit is sandwiched in between MEC - TIFF Bell Lightbox, but it's easy to miss. So make note of the pictures of what this place looks like. The guy working the small counter did offer samples. (I wished I took more than just one!) There was approx. 5-7 different flavours. 1 small cup was $5, the size up was $7, waffle cone was at least +$1. I believe only 1 flavour was allowed for the small cup, but I could be wrong. We just got the Pistacio-Hazelnut and it was good, shareable between 2 people. Seating area is outdoors and cute! The flavour we got was good, but again, it's a small place, so better for takeout. read more
Great gelato! Sometimes their scoop sizes are not consistent: depending on who works there, you might get tiny or huge scoops. They usually have around 5 flavours available, 1-2 vegan options/sorbets. Their hazelnut gelato is my personal favourite. They always mix up their flavours, it's never the same one week compared to the other so you can try new ones when you go back a couple of days later. The place is tiny (it's just a stand) but they have a cute seating area a few steps away from the store. If you ask they can show you where it is. I have gone to this place many many times and I keep going back! read more
00 Gelato is definitely a great spot to stop by if your in the mood for a creamy delicious treat. The place is literally the size of a closet, so only 2 people can stand in there at one time. Totally love how they made use of this small space, more places should try to do this. As for the gelato they carry about half a dozen flavors at a time that seem to change often. Chocolate mint, kit kat, and strawberry were all awesome! I may have to stop by today to try some different flavors. read more

Perhaps one person can stand inside at the front of the counter at a time to look at the half dozen-ish flavors that 00 has to choose from. This place is a closet in size but I swear the have the largest TV on the wall I've ever seen in a business up close. It's close because well the place is small, I think my walk in closet is larger and I don't live in a mansion! Still, taking into account this place is like a stand it's a nice little quick stop kind of place. You're taking your order to go. No, there's no place to sit. Facing King street and part of the Hyatt formally the Holiday Inn on King (370 King to be exact). It's closer to Widmer than Peter. You can miss their sign pretty easily because the business is so small. They'll let you try the flavors to see which one you want. I just wanted something light so I went with a strawberry sorbet. The small was straight up 5 bucks even and it was just what I wanted. I small light taste of sweet and to be on my way. read more
