Came to Ice Creamonology on a super hot day in Toronto and the line was absolutely ridiculous, but the ice cream was definitely worth the wait! Their Cookies & Cream was absolutely delicious and paired perfectly with the waffle cone, which had just the right amount of sweetness. I do wish there was some seating outside, but I guess most people grab their ice cream and continue walking along the Harbourfront, so it makes sense. Recently returned to Icecreamology after approximately 1 year as my wife and I were craving some ice cream on the warm summer day. We ended up getting a single cone each; I got the Nutella flavour and I absolutely loved it! The ice cream was so creamy, and you could taste the hazelnut chocolate with each bite. The worker there was very kind and helped me chose what he thought was the most popular flavour. I'm glad I went with his choice because it was delicious. I recently enjoyed a double scoop of Blueberry Cheesecake and Black Sea Tea ice cream from Ice Creamonology while taking a walk along the Toronto Waterfront. It's a little shop that fits maybe 5 people max with no indoor seating. There is however, a bench set up outside for those who want to stay around while they eat their ice cream. The turquoise walls on with what looks dripping ice cream from the ceiling is a nice touch to the interior decor. For those that come during busy moments, there is a whiteboard with the flavours listed outside the shop so you can start deciding while you wait outside. The service here is average, friendly staff, but nothing out of the ordinary, and they do not offer any taste tests. The ice cream here is made in-house daily with quality ingredients. While this may not be my favourite ice cream spot, overall, the ice cream here is quite good and creamy, and worth a try if you're in the area. read more

Im always looking for ice cream shops during the summer and I was so happy when I tried this place out. Great location too as you could grab a pint of whatever ice cream you want and be next to the water within a couple of minutes. Employees are very nice and they give you a sample to make sure you make the right choice The brownie flavour blew my mind and loved the tiramisu flavour as well. This is a small place with only a bench inside for seating. However, there are tables right outside as well as a small park close by. There were lots of flavors to choose from, including 3 sorbet flavors for those of us who have a complicated relationship with dairy. All of the flavors for the day are listed on the board outside. The scoops are generous, and fresh waffle cones are an option. The shop makes all of the flavors fresh daily. The mixed berries and mango sorbets were amazing, and my family also raved about the Turkish coffee and coconut. Definitely a fun place to try in this heat. read more

Okay so, I've been wanting to try Ice creamonology for AGES. and I mean AGES. My days have literally been spent staring at the window, waiting for the sun to come out so I can have an excuse to be the first one in the line I'd always pass by. And finally it happened. The perfect moment. Free time , and a beautiful day. The menu is advertised outside and has absolutely gorgeous flavours , from sour cherry and labneh to passion fruit sorbet, there really is something for all palates. Whilst they don't offer samples (whyyyyy) , the smell itself is just heavenly. I opted for the almond toffee and southern banana pudding - you can't expect me to walk out of there with just one pick , right? Note, these are two flavours I would generally NEVER go for, but I was feeling adventurous. And I'm so glad I was. The southern banana had pieces of fresh banana and the most delectable cinnamon flavour, whilst the almond toffee had huge chunks of almonds that added the perfect bite to a super sweet toffee. I live close by and there's always a line out the door here! The ice cream is fresh, delicious, and flavourful. I tried the Turkish coffee and loved the texture of it. It had some grains of real coffee??? I also like that the paper cup seems to be of compostable material instead of a waxed or lined paper cup. Even the spoon is wooden. Love it!!! Checked out this place last month for the first time. The ice cream was delicious! They offer sorbet as well and the location is perfect for a stroll or sit down near the water, or in a park. The staff was friendly and the service was quick even with there being a bit of a line. I would suggest checking this place out on a weekday and avoid the weekend and rush hour traffic (vehicle and pedestrian). It would be great if they opened another location that wasn't downtown. They have pretty unique flavors and lots of nutty options which is pretty good. They have limited seating outside which we grabbed and enjoyed the shade for a bit. There's a lot of flavours that I was interested in, but I ended up going for the blueberry white chocolate cheesecake. It was creamy and delicious! It even had chunks of cheesecake in it! I can tell that they use real fruits to make their ice cream! There is seeds in it, in case you are not big on it. But I found it enjoyable and gives a nice texture! My friends got raspberry and the Black Sea tea ice cream. I tried a little of theirs and they were fantastic as well! The owner is very nice and friendly! We got to talk to him for a bit! I came here on the weekend specifically for their special ice cream sandwich with the breakable shell on top. I stumbled across this ice cream place through the Blogto with the ice cream sandwiches back last fall, but being a first-year university student starting to become overloaded with work I wasn't able to find a time or a sunny day to go get ice cream. Although now that it's spring/summer, I decided to try the ice cream. On a work trip, I dragged a coworker on an almost 1k post-dinner hike to try Ice Creamonology in 19' (-7c) weather where both of us could have been better dressed. We were greeted by the owner who was very welcoming and accommodated two weary travelers with shelter, conversation and even ice cream as he closed up his shop. We both tried the Turkish Coffee which ended up being very good; enough to guarantee a return visit. Rich and creamy with no eggs. All natural, with pistachio paste and nuts. Giving them an extra star for taking the time to have all their product info online and updated. Even this Yelp page has clear photos and descriptions of all their offerings.
