Sadly, our dear Mother, passed away on Jan. 9th, 2021 and she left a house, albeit very clean and organized, of items from over 50 years ago. Being super close to my Mom, I wasn't able to move and time is ticking. I saw the commercial and decided to call. In grief and trying to take care of the business at hand, I was greeted with suck a warm and perky customer service agent. I briefly explained the reason for this huge task and she got right on the job of setting up a consult. The day of the consult, 3 huge trucks pull up in front of my Mom's house, and I swear, I felt like "Help" was finally here! The reason for the 3 trucks was because they help each other at these jobs and due to Covid, are unable to ride together in 1 truck. They greeted me with friendly hello's and a "we are ready to work" type of attitude. Again, this is only the consult! They came in, saw what they needed, and said, if you want, we can just take all of this now, unless you need to wait until tomorrow. I was so shocked and excited, so I said yes, right now would be great! When I say, it took them all of 30 to 40 mins to fill an entire truck up, it could have been shorter lol. They had a system that they work with and within no time, an entire truck was filled. At a time like this, losing my Mom and we're in the middle of a pandemic, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE is always welcomed! I had some tears for all of the memories going away, and the guys showed empathy and then humor. They had me smiling and laughing before they left. This wasn't something they had to do, it was just a part of being human and showing human kindness. Lastly, I do wish the price was a tad bit cheaper, but because of their professionalism, empathetic personnel, and the careful quickness, these qualities out weighed the cost. They communicated very well from when they were going to show up, the pricing estimate, how long the job was going to take, etc. The pricing was definitely on the higher side, it costed me as much to move majority of my stuff to a new place, as it did to get rid of the remaining junk. But if you think about it in terms of your own time to laboriously get rid of the various things at various places (donations, trash, recyclables, etc), the pricing is probably worth it. read more

Called the customer service line to get more details on charging. I was told by the rep that they charge by space using a basic washer machine to define the space. So, 3 basic washers ( calculating space) would be $129 ranging up. From there i set my apt for the day. I had a small dresser (2 slots),one locker (kids size) and a box of trash. I had less then 3 washers. Once the guy came, he knew it wasnt much but charged me $179. smh I told him that i spoke with a rep on the phone and she said you charge by space, he then replied that she doesn't know what she is talking about they go by volume. My partner booked a week early for a job to clean out a room in our home that we're renting out to a friend. We planned to have the room cleaned out on a Thursday, and our friend would move in Saturday. Well we got canceled on Thursday because their truck was full. So we agreed to reschedule Friday morning at 10am. Friday 10:25a rolls around and no call and no one shows up. So we call them. They say they need to reschedule to 3pm same day because their morning job is huge and won't be done til 2. Ok so 2:50pm and no call. We worried they're going to cancel again so we call them and sure enough they are telling us they still have 3 other people ahead of us so they will not get to us today. They offer to reschedule AGAIN. Why would we trust a 4th reschedule? What pattern of reliable behavior would we have to reference in order to take that bet? No thanks. Never again with this company. The people who work here are courteous and professional and do good work, but I experienced an issue with honesty that was also brought up by another reviewer. I arranged for a junk pick up in Sunnyvale this past weekend and a friend coordinated the process on the location. My friend was quoted $432 as an absolute maximum during the initial estimate. At the end of the process, they charged him $482. When I filed a complaint about this, they claimed that they called him and that he agreed that everything was charged accurately and there was no discrepancy between the initial and final quote. When I asked my friend what they talked about, he told me that he very clearly conveyed that there was a discrepancy between the initial and final quote and he never said that the charge was accurate. I was told that I could not escalate the issue any further. It seems to me as though they are trying to make the issue go away by throwing in contradictory statements that were not actually made. Most people's experiences with this company seem to be positive, but make sure that you get everything in writing to be safe, and make sure that the person paying in on-site so that they have all of the information and won't be vulnerable to tactics like this. read more
