I'm going to take the time on this review to explain the absolute level of professionalism,…read moreskillful labor & sheer expertise that expedited heat and air truly proved to me and my family! Starting with the friendliest and most astute phone representatives I've experienced. They were so polite and accurate, assuring me throughout the entire process that i was in good hands. I felt the value of this. Erika, Akira & Cheniya will absolutely blow you away. Within a very reasonable amount of time I was greeted with a extremely energetic and fantastic service supervisor Robert M and Josh D. They were absolutely astonishing and fully prepared. After a thorough diagnostic of my AC system, Robert proceeded to explain with friendliness and no pressure the option I had to resolve my issue. Within 1 hour I was back in business and my AC system was working better than it ever had before. He preformed a full maintenance, cleared my drain line, washed my outdoor and indoor coils and sanitized my inside unit. The charge for this service was truly as fair as it gets. I cannot stress enough the tremendous value this company brings to me and my family as a homeowner in Florida. Thank you Expedited Heat and Air, from the bottom of my heart!

The team at Chilly Billy were the first to respond to my project request on Yelp and gave us the…read morebest price and service out of the other 3 vendors we quoted. We had a full HVAC upgrade and replaced the condenser, cooling unit, vent plates, and duct work. The team started in the morning around 9am or so and finished at about 6pm - for all of the work they had to do and having to access the cooling unit in a tight space in the attic, they accomplished a lot in a day's work. So far, we're very happy with the results and love the parts and service warranty they provide. Everyone was very kind and professional. Highly recommend.

My AC unit stopped working on Saturday. I'd used Frank Gay before and had their maintenance plan,…read moreso I called them. To Frank Gay's credit, they came out quickly and determined that the capacitor had blown. I was relieved because it was an older unit. However, the service tech insisted that my machine needed to be replaced. He said it was in critical condition and showed me the readout. He said it was over-amping and wouldn't last two months. Fortunately, they had a "special" going on for new units. Sounded like a sales pitch so I took a picture of the readout he showed me and uploaded it to ChatGPT. It said not to trust those numbers because they were way off and it looked like the probes were reversed. ChatGPT encouraged me to call someone else. So I did. Chilly Billy's came out today - two days later. The AC guy was named Nas - very easy to talk to and smart. He ran the same tests and determined that while my unit is pretty old - it's working fine. The numbers were well within manufacturer guidelines. They said they would not recommend replacing the unit. So, I learned I can't trust Frank Gay. I cancelled my maintenance membership and found a new HVAC company in Chilly Billy. I'm uploading the photos. One is Frank Gay. The other is Chilly Billy two days later. Trust is a big deal.

We've worked with him multiple times now, and every experience has been exceptional. He's handled our A/C issues quickly and professionally, and the quality of his work has always held up long-term. On top of that, he also added recessed lighting for us, and the results completely elevated the look of the home. His attention to detail really sets him apart -- he treats every project like it's his own house. What a lot of people don't know is that Taylor A/C & Heat also does epoxy garage flooring, and they do it extremely well. We actually have an upcoming appointment with Paul to get our garage floor done, and based on his track record, we know it's going to come out flawless. If anyone is looking for trustworthy, consistent, and high-quality work -- whether it's A/C service, electrical work like recessed lighting, or even garage floor epoxy -- Paul and Taylor A/C & Heat are the ones we always recommend. I went away Mother's Day weekend to come home late Sunday night to find my A/C wasn't working. I called Ricky first thing Monday morning and he came out that morning to fix the issue. He explained to me exactly what happened and how he fixed it, keeping me in the loop. 4th of July weekend, I accidental shorted my A/C fuse while trying to change the thermostat. I called Performance Heating and Cooling again Ricky helped me troubleshoot the issue over the phone, saving me the cost of the visit. I strongly encourage everyone to use Performance Heating and Cooling for all your HVAC needs!!!

*(Please pardon the minor two paragraph diatribe at the start. I'm still mad 11 years later.)*…read moreWe'd gotten sick of our non-performing central air (we were defrauded by the person who installed the old unit a decade earlier, when he was trying to offload the low SEER units he had bought before the new rules kicked in. He sold us a seriously underpowered and inefficient unit. So I started interviewing AC companies. WILDLY different prices, units, and sizes quoted. However, a couple of the contractors were straightforward and honest in their assessments, going above and beyond in describing the units, actually using brand and model names, admitting that there are really only three AC manufacturers in the US, and all the varied brands come off of the same factory assembly lines (Carrier and Bryan, for example. Carrier is about a grand more). But this review is about 1st Choice (Now Performance Heating and Cooling? Need to make sure Ricky Mena is still running this show...may re-edit this review to note this). and Richard, one of the people I talked to who was straight with me from the start. They (actually, Richard Mena, the owner) came out to do the inspection and quote. He explained everything they would (and might) need to do, what the cost would be, all inclusive, and provided me with something that NO other contractor did: An estimate with actual brand and part numbers on it so I could research them myself and decide if I was OK with what was being proposed. That, in and of itself, showed a level of respect I didn't get elsewhere. Oh, and his quote was among the lowest of the six, though he was definitely not offering some off-brand, soggy-boxed unit from the warehouse where the Ark of the Covenant was studied by Top. Men. Current line production units, with a published AHSE certificate showing the two as compatible units. Installation went smoothly on the day promised. **Update because I apparently didn't post this after writing it (me am dum): It's been a year. System is running perfectly. Power bills are at least $100 less per month than before, and it's more comfortable, even with the (ahem) alteration in atmospheric conditions [climate change -- if 98% of scientists agree it's happening, I tend to believe them rather than some nonscientist bozo running a federal agency that he was suing multiple times per year right before he was given the top job. Boy, are we winning]. At any rate, Richard Mena is trustworthy, honest, and at least for my family's house, did what he said he would do, when he said, for the price he said it would be, and it was the right system. Highly recommended
