They took a kitchen to the studs and built a masterpiece for my wife and me. How much do we love them? We rehired them to renovate our master bathroom completely. The fact that we rehired them should tell you all that you need to know about how amazing they are. So, again, the best review is that we are using them again, and you should use them too because they are the best. What made them the best: 1) They helped us save a lot of money. They have a unique approach to ordering materials for the project. They let us know what they needed, and we ordered it directly. We ordered the new cabinets, the new doors, the new appliances, etc. By doing this, there was no additional markup on the items ordered, and it saved us a lot of money. Other contractors we met with didn't want to do this, and their quotes were at least 20 percent more than PDX Homeworks. 2) Their work. Unlike other contractors that we have had in the past. When they saw something that wasn't quite right but that we would never know about, they didn't just cover it up and move on; THEY MADE IT RIGHT. Not to mention that their work is very precise. I once watched Nick get so frustrated when he was leveling the kitchen as he tried to level everything because it was off, to me, an imperceptible amount. At least the amount was imperceptible to me, but to Nick, it wasn't perfectly level, and he continued until it met his exacting needs. 3) Helping with design. We were amazed at how painless the whole design process of our kitchen was. We gave Amanda some inspirational pictures, and she came back with a fantastic design that only required a few minor tweaks. THANK YOU, AMANDA. 4) They only work on one project at a time. It is just Nick, Amanda, and Kailash. They don't have multiple crews doing multiple jobs that they are overseeing. They were at our house every day, working and working. It was so lovely that we had consistency in seeing them every day. 5) They're very clean. Every day, they would use drop cloths on the ground to make sure they didn't get the carpets dirty. I even told them that they didn't need to do that because I was getting the carpets cleaned after they were done. They didn't listen to me and continued to use drop cloths every day. They also vacuumed and cleaned up every day. It was a very clean renovation. 6) They are just the nicest people. It was great getting to know them during the whole process of our renovation. They don't do this type of work to become huge builders with millions of dollars of work completed every year. They are just the nicest people who love remodeling, helping people out, and helping them save money where they can. Again, we can't say enough good things about them except that we used them, again, to renovate our master bathroom. If you need a contractor, unequivocally, I can say that you don't need to look any further because you have found the best contractors in Portland and possibly the world. USE THEM!!!!!!

Throughout the design process, Mosaik's team listened to our ideas, our pain points, and desires and steered us to a design that fit within our existing footprint AND increased functionality and circulation ten-fold. Our whole -house renovation included: finishing the basement with two bedrooms, a lounge, a bathroom and new utility room; a complete remodel of the main floor including creating a connection between the new laundry (brought up from the basement) and our dream kitchen. We updated all our mechanicals for the future with a new heat pump, heat-pump water heater, upgraded electrical panel and a car charger, added a radon mitigation system and treated ourselves to a central vacuum system. There were a lot of moving parts on this project and Mosaik's coordination and understanding of remodeling brought the project in on time and without any cost surprises. Mosaik has cultivated strong relationships with all the trades and material suppliers which is why they are able to complete projects on time and with the highest level of craftmanship. All the subcontractors showed up on time and performed their work with the utmost integrity and skill. Having worked in the construction industry for 20 years, I have rarely worked with anyone who matches Mosaik's integrity, communication quality and attention to detail. Scott's communication is top-notched-he built a realistic schedule and kept us apprised at every step of the project. He never assumed anything without checking in first and if there was weather or supply-chain delays he always doubled efforts to keep to that schedule. Luke with Lime Painting responded to the project request within 7 minutes of me submitting it! He was able to schedule a meeting for the next morning to meet on site and discuss the project scope. He and Ben showed up on time, were energetic and established great rapport, included me as part of their walkthrough and inspection of the project site, and described in detail the high quality services they offer. Luke and Ben provided their estimates in a timely manner, and included line items for optional project elements we had discussed. Their pricing for interior paint was consistent with most of the other estimates I received, and their pricing for exterior paint was the highest of my estimates, due to the high level of care and attention to detail they offer (which they did describe at the site visit). Although I selected another vendor for this project, I would absolutely reach out to Luke and Ben again in the future.

When they came to give us an estimate, Andres crawled up in our crawl space to really get a good feel for what our insulation looked like and to see how the roof looked like from the underside. They made suggestions to us for things that should be done even if they weren't the contractor that did them. After interviewing other roofers, we decided to give Innovators our business. They added some insulation in a few places that didn't have it for a very reasonable price and did a top notch job with the air flow. Now, in the heat of the summer, the house is at least a 10 degree difference from the same heat last year. It is amazing! The roof looks beautiful! They came back to fix one little part immediately and we could not be happier! So, we have hired them for 2 other projects and been completely pleased with their work. Nelson is super easy to work with on the business side and Andres is a total perfectionist when it comes to his work. They installed a period dining room window for us and it looks stunning thanks to Andres careful attention to detail. They enjoy doing good work! We have them lined up for a couple more projects now.
