This review is for the slab warehouse. I was absolutely clueless about the granite purchasing process. I actually started shopping for granite before selecting a fabricator, but hey, it all worked out. And mostly thanks to the guy at the desk in the warehouse. He provided me a sheet of recommended fabricators and told me the basics of selecting. He helped me understand the process. Every other employee I interacted with was always kind and pleasant! Bedrosians has a spectacular selection of tile and stone, with good service when you are BUYING. But you better hope there are no issues with your $18,000 quartzite because Bedrosian's will abandon you faster than you can say "Customer Service Please." We've purchased and installed 3 other quartzite countertops and never had a problem. This is the first time we ordered from Bedrosians and it was an unmitigated disaster. The stone immediately absorbed everything: water, oil, soap . . . Spots and streaks appeared everywhere within the first 2 days of use. For the record, we have used the same installer and sealer, A-Tech, for years and this has never happened. Yet Bedrosians first blamed A-Tech, then sent a guy out from the warranty department to try some Poultice Plus to remove the stains. This made the stains worse. Then they told us that they would "submit the pictures and information to their warranty department" which would take about 10 days. 18 days later, they sent a form letter with nothing but disclaimers, taking no responsibility for a flawed stone from a quarry with lousy quality control. Finally they again blamed A-Tech. We are disgusted by the way we were treated by this company after they sold us a bad product. We are considering litigation. We highly recommend shopping for your countertop elsewhere. read more

Great customer service & very knowledgeable staff! They were able to answer all our questions & help us narrow down materials for our project. Being able to take home multiple samples was also quite helpful. Some of the other tile & stone suppliers in the area didn't stock samples (they had to be ordered) so it was great that Bedrosians had everything available. read more

For a home project using tiles, I might recommend another place. The prices were very high here for not much better quality than what you can get in home depot. Order times were very long and they don't take back unused boxes of tiles. The workers were all very friendly however. read more

Overnight shipped two boxes of tile ($70 shipping, $95 in tiles). Upon arrival, 22% of the tile was broken. I asked them if it was possible to send me 1 single tile that I needed because I was short from all the broken tiles. They said the picture I provided wasn't enough for a claim. Spending $1,3000 in tiles from them and they couldn't send 1 tile. I WILL NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY ANOTHER PENNY. I will find a tile that matches close enough elsewhere. read more

This was our second time with Bedrosians, the first being for a new bathroom and now we are updating the tile in our kitchen from 1949. We wanted to keep the look and durability of the tile countertop and after awful experiences at big box stores with inexperienced workers, bright overhead lights, and terrible music, we decided the Bedrosians showroom would be way more ideal! Why didn't we just do that in the first place?! We were warmly greeted by Katherine R and worked with her for the duration of the process. She was wonderful to work with! She gave us time and space to look at different tiles, she was incredibly knowledgeable, there was no rush and she provided excellent customer service from start to finish. Absolutely ZERO integrity. I live in Astoria and it is about a four hour round trip for me to travel to Portland to look for stone. I visited several stone suppliers and found a slab that I liked at Oregon Tile & Marble, now owned by Bedrosians. I contacted the slab salesman. He filled out the paperwork to hold a slab for me. I went to my local fabricator in Astoria and informed him of my decision. He contacted Oregon Tile & Marble to get a price on the slab and was informed that the slab had been sold to another purchaser. Are you kidding me? The very slab that I had reserved. ZERO INTEGRITY. There is NO way that I will ever do business with this company again. I was forced to make yet another four hour trip to Portland to select a slab from another supplier. Much wasted time, money, and effort. There are many stone suppliers in the Portland area. This is one supplier that is best avoided. read more

I found the showroom to be beautiful yet very minimalist. I was shopping for backsplash tile and expected to be dazzled by an abundance of choices and displays. Unfortunately that wasn't the case here. I was disappointed by the lack of choices and left wanting more. Buyer beware! The Portland store has a good selection of tile and slabs and the sales people are nice. But the price represented on the floor is not what you'll pay. They apply an 8% surcharge to anything you buy in the store - even if it is in stock. When you ask why, they say it's because they have to transport everything from California, they've always had the surcharge, and everyone knows about it. Not true. I wasn't aware of it, didn't see the single sheet of white paper kept on the far side of the desk announcing the surcharge, and wasn't told until I was paying for our tiles. What an unpleasant surprise. If Bedrosians is going to continue this surcharge, they should bake it into the prices marked on showroom products, not stick customers with it at the last minute. Oh, and when customers call to ask about the surcharge and maybe getting it reversed because you ordered an in-stock product, customer service folks shouldn't hang up on them. Before that happened (and after the purchase), the customer service person said there is no surcharge imposed on online orders. Would have been nice to know that before the purchase was completed and the 'No Return' policy kicked in. read more

If ZERO stars were an option . . . If you are buying a remnant: beware. They sold the granite that I had already paid for to someone else. Their first-come-first-served policy means that your piece can be sold out from underneath you unless it is removed from their property IMMEDIATELY. Make your fabricator aware of this. And they won't automatically issue you a credit when they double sell a piece. Even though they don't call you back, you will get your money back in a couple of months. read more

I walked in hoping to see samples of quartz for kitchen countertops. I was immediately greeted in a very helpful, friendly way. The person at the front counter insisted I take the long walk downstairs to the "slab room" rather than look at tiny samples in the showroom. Boy was he right, it really makes a difference to see this product in the larger slab size. Also, the woman who helped in the slab room me gave me some extra tips about caring for quartz and explained the advantages of some colors over others. Great shopping experience. I bought a lot of Schluter products from these folks (thinset, shower curb, shower walls, mortar, caulk) to build a bathroom and kitchen and found they lacked knowledge, were not able to help a DIY person and when I bought materials that I got wrong they would not restock even though they had these material on their warehouse shelves. Go to Daltile if you want help, good prices and good customer service, OTM is just a big company with no customer service and everyone in the trade goes to Daltile for supplies not this company. read more

My wife and I have previously had okay experiences here, though they charge high prices--but this Fall we put in an order of over-sized subway tiles for a bathroom remodel we were doing at the Oregon coast. The tiles came in, we opened a box to check and the first ones seemed fine. We took them to the coast and two days before install we discovered that all of the boxes had roughly 1/3 of the tiles with scratches across the surfaces--we theorize a conveyor belt that pulls the tiles from a kiln was malfunctioning. We called to get help, but they were special orders so we were out of luck, and our project had to go on. The man on the phone was no help, didn't offer to adjust the price for an inferior product; I told him we were very unhappy with the quality of the tile and to have a customer service representative call us,--that was three months ago--and no call yet. Moral of the Story; don't expect them to know the quality of their delivered products; open every box and check every tile--better yet, insist that they do so on your behalf knowing they have Quality Control problems and won't help you after the fact. For a premium product, I expect premium service. I'm afraid I'd advise getting tiles elsewhere from now on. Mark K. read more

I was shocked. A tall woman salesperson was "helping" me. I asked her why some tile sets didn't have coordinating trim pieces and some did. Perhaps she though I was backwards? She said, "You don't want it all coordinated by some goober Asian guy in China." Thats a quote. My kids are Asian. What is this???? Oh, its racism. Sorry, I guess I'm so behind the curve on tile selection that I might not have noticed. Its not ok. I won't be buying here. I'll have to seek out more like-minded sales staff and be every so very glad this person is not my type!!! read more

I had a hard to find extremely white Carrera tile that I was short only 4 - 12" tiles to finish a large project in a tight timeframe. Not only did the the warehouse manager personally go search their stock for a match for such a small order but matched it perfectly. Their team is awesome! read more

Working with these guys is so great. They were friendly, attentive, and very helpful. A bit pricey but I guess that's what you get for high quality rock. Overall, pretty good place, probably my favorite place to go to for construction projects. I don't understand all the other negative reviews every time i've been there they seemed glad to help. After searching many weeks for granite slabs for a very large kitchen remodel, John and Alina in the granite department went above and beyond in helping me locate exactly what I was looking for! At several other granite wholesalers, I was made to feel as if I were "bothering" them when I asked if they could separate a large bundle so I was able to select exactly the slabs I needed. Picked out granite. They sent it to my fabricator and they sent a piece that was a different thickness at one end as compared to the other end. Had to send it back, go back and pick another one. Then they showed me a similar piece with a big blob of glue that was filling a hole right in the middle. The two pieces of black I asked for had scratches all over it. Glad my installer/fabricator saw all of this! read more
