Now for some details: We bought an apartment in Portland but we were still living in NYC, so the entire renovation was done remotely. Anton was very easy to communicate with. He handled receiving all the materials and fixtures, and even let me send some items to his home (like a bathtub!) so it doesn't disturb my new neighbors. He also brought in my regular mail. I actually got compliments from my neighbors for how Anton's workers helped them with some random stuff. Anton promised and delivered on finishing the renovation before we moved in. While it was a pretty tight schedule, I kept making it harder on Anton by increasing the scope as the renovation progressed (because I was so happy with the work). Even though I kept adding more work, Anton was still able to finish everything by the time we moved in. He and his team are very dedicated hard workers. There are no surprises when you get the bill either, prices are given upfront and that's what you see at the end. As for the work itself - very high quality throughout the vast range of different tasks (flooring, replacing exterior windows, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, replacing kitchen counter etc.). Anton was able to squeeze every inch of space, upgrading our kitchen substantially - shifting some existing cabinets to make more room for a bigger fridge, increasing the size of the sink to the absolute maximum given the existing cabinets (which we didn't want to replace) and even installing an imported faucet that doesn't match the US voltage (for boiling water) or plumbing fittings. I had a guess that the tiles originally came from this biz, and while I don't think that proved to be true, I really enjoyed my visit to Pratt + Larson to explore options. They have a wonderful display showroom where the tiles are laid out in various formations, even with an example shower and fireplace. There are so many wonderful options. They also have an outlet store with assorted amounts of tile that is great for a project like mine where I won't be fully redoing a room, just a patch repair.

Bedrosians has a spectacular selection of tile and stone, with good service when you are BUYING…read more But you better hope there are no issues with your $18,000 quartzite because Bedrosian's will abandon you faster than you can say "Customer Service Please." We've purchased and installed 3 other quartzite countertops and never had a problem. This is the first time we ordered from Bedrosians and it was an unmitigated disaster. The stone immediately absorbed everything: water, oil, soap . . . Spots and streaks appeared everywhere within the first 2 days of use. For the record, we have used the same installer and sealer, A-Tech, for years and this has never happened. Yet Bedrosians first blamed A-Tech, then sent a guy out from the warranty department to try some Poultice Plus to remove the stains. This made the stains worse. Then they told us that they would "submit the pictures and information to their warranty department" which would take about 10 days. 18 days later, they sent a form letter with nothing but disclaimers, taking no responsibility for a flawed stone from a quarry with lousy quality control. Finally they again blamed A-Tech. We are disgusted by the way we were treated by this company after they sold us a bad product. We are considering litigation. We highly recommend shopping for your countertop elsewhere.
