After doing some research, I…read moredecided to get him in with Palo Alto Medical Group on Dublin Blvd. It was both really convenient from where we live and I felt like I can trust their care. I was able to get my son an appointment with Dr. Weger. Medical group is located on Dublin Blvd and Tassajara. The hospital was clean and new. They had pre-mailed me the forms so by the time I checked in, they called us right away so the wait time was virtually none. Reception desk was friendly. Dr. Weger is excellent! I could tell Dr. Weger was easy going and immediately liked how she was so gentle and sweet with my son. She was very thorough, going over everything - i didnt feel rushed or insincere. You can tell right away that she is genuine and caring. She is also very knowledgeable. She pointed out a few things that we needed to further check on and when I didnt understand something, she clearly explained and at one point even drew diagrams to explain. I am so glad we were able to see her as other doctors werent as thorough with the check ups. I am glad my son saw Dr. Weger! Definitely a fan!!!

There have been multiple occasions when one of our children have shown signs of an ear infection late at night, and she responded promptly, saw them to make an accurate diagnosis, and made sure they received the treatment they needed as soon as possible. Whenever my kids feel anxious about an appointment, she is able to calm their fears, make them feel safe, and even turn the visit into a positive experience. I especially appreciate how thoroughly she explains medical concerns in a way that's easy to understand. She takes the time to answer questions and listens to my concerns. I told him I wanted to discuss options and which vaccines were necessary. I think this is fair as a concerned parent. He disregarded any research I had done, opinions I had and even laughed at me. He said he didn't want to argue about it but would hear me out. He then continued to be condescending and disrespectful by talking over me and speaking to me as if I was a moron. Since my baby was screaming even before we gave the shots I was trying to calm her down and feed her. Dr. Cheng asked me three times if I was going to make a decision and what that was. When I asked him to "please give me a minute" he stormed out of the room like an angry child. I hope Dr. Cheng was just having a bad day and consequently took it out then, but I have a feeling this is just his nature. He later apologized stating "it's a hot topic". I do not understand how he thinks he can treat people this way when it is a matter of our children being treated. Extremely disgusted with his lack of knowledge for the vaccines, absence of bedside manner, impatience, disregard for a parents rights/ opinions, and outright disrespect. I called (not knowing Dr. Brock had left) for a copy of a referral to a GI Dr. Brock gave at our last appointment so I could follow up with the GI. I was denied a copy of the referral, and when I asked if that meant that they were refusing to provide me with my daughter's medical records, the answer was yes and that I had to contact Dr. Brock directly at her new office. I could not believe the level of unprofessionalism. I called Pleasant Hill, and I was informed that I am far from the only one to have experienced this treatment. I might understand some less than cordial treatment if I was informing them I was leaving, but all I wanted was my kid's medical records. That this facility has chosen to put the internal fighting as a priority above patients is disgusting. I don't know that we'll follow Dr. Brock, but we certainly won't be staying here. We will miss Desiree, who was always kind and friendly, but I have no trust whatsoever in this place.

Actually a lot more. Number one she takes the time to understand your family dynamics and what things are important to you and number two she is so much more available than a regular doctor. For those of you that really want optimal care and want an old school feel on somebody with current evidence-based practice in pediatrics this is your doctor right here. She also has an office so you can do regular office visits but on occasion she has in-home available which makes A lot of sense when you have a sick bub. I can't recommend her enough!! I highly recommend that you reach out to her and see what it might mean to your family to have the best care in the Bay Area at your fingertips. last thing is that the one time we needed to use our EpiPen I tried to take him to urgent care and they wouldn't accept us as a patient because of covid and the surge and I was able to get her on the phone and get him into the emergency department really fast with her help. Today is October 30, 2019. And we have been trying to get a hold of our medical records since May! That's about 5 months!!! We tried calling 6 times in total, and left a message each time. They returned our call once, but we missed it, and they never left a message. Why is it so difficult to talk to someone? We need the medical records for the specialist. Plus, we need an extension for the referral because it expires before our appointment with the specialist! This specialist must be popular? We cannot connect with Dr. Quan's office to renew/extend the referral. We moved from SF about a year ago, and we are thinking of switching back to our SF pediatrician. We called our SF pediatrician today, and got their copy of the medical records. Everything resolved in 1 call and in 1 day. I think it is worth the drive to SF to see a doctor from San Ramon.
