My family and I were in town from Long Beach, CA for a ski trip to Taos. We have never left our dog in a pet hotel but decided to give this place a try and glad we did as it was a great experience. Our 4 year old terrier mix transitioned well when we dropped him off. This place seemed to be overall great, clean and very calm upon entering the facility. I really like how they only allow one dog family in the resort at a time to help keep a calm environment. I provided the dog food, and a sweater to avoid any additional fees. My dog got walked during his stay as I selected that as an add-on. He stayed one night and upon pick up he was so happy to see me. It took my dog about 15 min to really relax when I picked him up as he was overstimulated by seeing me and also being in a new place. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for somewhere for your furry friend to stay. The staff was great! read more

We got so lucky to find 10,000 wags on our trip to Taos!! Our dog Roxy did doggy day care for 3 full days and got a bath on her last day while we went mountain biking. They have a little kiddie pool that she loved. You can tell they really loved her. Everyone made us feel like she was their favorite dog. I think that's why they only let one dog fam in the lobby at a time. This way every dog is their favorite. Seriously, everyone is great here and Roxy was so tired out each day. Wags is really a caring kennel that goes out of its way to help you and your fur baby. My boy comes homes exhausted and wiped out. He loves going their to visit his buddies. Yesterday on pickup, I had bought a ramp for him to get in my Explorer, and he would have nothing to do with it. Then Jackie came out and placed a bail of straw down for a step up, VOILA he got right in. She also suggested some nuggets that would help relieve his back pain and doesn't contain anything that would effect his liver or stomach. I just wish they had one on the South side of town. I used 10,000 Wags for 15 years with my previous dog and loved them.  We just adopted a dog and were a bit apprehensive to leave her so soon after adoption but she did great!  I called daily to check on her and since we were unsure of her behaviour with other dogs the staff slowly worked her into group play.  I have NEVER been disappointed with 10,000 Wags and am truly grateful I have them in my town! read more

10,000 Wags is Top Notch! I was on business followed by leave in the Taos Area. I took my dog with me, and she stayed during the day at 10,000 Wags dog daycare. With the COVID 19 virus, all staff took all precautions. I was met outside to drop off and pick up my dog. An added plus was getting her nails trimmed. My visit went so well, that I opted for a second day. When I am back in the Taos area, I'll be sure to drop off my dog again. We loved the Royal Gorge trails and the Rio Grande river, with trails along the bank. Many restaurants in the downtown area are pet friendly, so we did partake in patio dining. We travel to Taos a few times a year and we travel with our 5 dogs. My wife runs a doggy daycare boarding facility in Austin, so she is rather particular. We tend to stay at homes in Taos and regularly want to get out and explore. Three of our dogs are very active and we recently had a adopted a Golden Retriever that is a wild lady, Tully. The staff is awesome and friendly and our dogs are crazy exhausted when they get home. This place has made traveling so much easier on us. They are also on the way to 10,000 waves spa which is helpful if you are traveling over there for the day. Great place. Great staff. Can't ask for more! Keep up the good work guys! read more

I am quite neurotic over where my dog stays. 10,000 Wags is unparalleled in the region likely my favorite in travels coast to coast. For those in Santa Fe/ABQ or passing through looking to board the drive to El Prado is well worth it! A fantastic group of truly exceptional people work and run 10,000 Wags. I am a first rate worrier over my K9 companion. I likely am neurotic how much I worry. Year after year 10,000 Wags has not only cared for my boy though gone above and beyond repeatedly. For those of us that our K9 is the closet family we have, I without question encourage and endorse 10,000 Wags. My dogs have been to over a 1/2 dozen doggie daycare facilities in different states. This one is sooooo clean; doesn't smell like urine the minute you walk in. They take the dogs OUTSIDE to play (some daycares are INDOOR only ). They played fetch with my overactive choc lab and that helped her reduce her pent up energy! My dogs were happy to arrive there and happy to depart as well. They were also very tired!!, which is/was the goal! Oh, and they are sooo reasonably priced!! This place was great! We had to board our pit bull for 4 days and the staff there was so nice and very attentive to doing whatever they could to make our dog's stay great. Their prices are very reasonable in the fact that they provide very good food for your pet! Once we came to pick our dog up the people working the front desk had nothing but good things to say about our little man, so that put my mind at ease knowing he did a good job and had fun. I am a Taos resident and have used 10,000 Wags on many occasions. Recently my wife and I left our cat Katie for a planned 10 day stay which turned into 50 days because of an accident while we were traveling. Never fear - Katie was reluctant to leave. The staff all knew her and were very responsive to my several extensions of her stay because of hospital and rehab schedules. We found 10,000 Wags to be a 100% dog care center. Our bloodhound puppy is very sensitive but also energetic and playful. 10,000 Wags accomodated her perfectly.
