Irina of Pet Angel of Santa Fe is absolutely exceptional in every way that matters. I just hired Irina for the first time ( 4/25 - 4/28/2025) to take care of my post-surgery, one year old male cat for 4 days, at her home. He had had a very delicate operation to repair a tricky break in the tibia bone of his back right leg. They had installed a metal brace and screws and wire. Very expensive and extremely important to contain the cat so he would not harm the leg while it is healing. I had an out of state family funeral to attend and was in a panic. I googled something like post-surgery in home care in Santa Fe. Her website plus one other Pet Hospital came up. I reviewed her website, noticed how well it was designed with attention to detail (very important) and that she was licensed via the city of Santa Fe for animal care. I never even felt the need to review the other website. My cat, named Kitty, needed 24/7 care and someone with experience handling medications and delicate post-surgery care. I emailed her of my upcoming needs, as it was late on a Sunday and I needed to leave in 4 or 5 days. We spoke the next day and went over all my concerns. As we spoke it was so obvious that she was very experienced in the post-surgery needs of an animal. Additionally, she demonstrated a deep understanding of relating to the cats and dogs she takes care of. If you want to just have Irina go to your home and feed and water and clean up after your pets while you are away that is of course possible also. Irina sent me wonderful photos and reports everyday of Kitty. I felt completely confident that Kitty got excellent care and attention...complete with a heated rug his first day there to comfort him as he adjusted to this new environment. I could go on and on but don't want to make this any longer. In short, all pet owners in Santa Fe, are lucky to have Irina the Pet Angel of Santa Fe as an option for animal care when the need arises. Irina is fantastic. We just moved back to Santa Fe and have a very nervous little pug. She has come to our home twice to watch him for over a week. She takes great photos of him and gives us updates to let us know how everything is going. He got loving care and was able to stay in a familiar place and go on the walks he is used to 3 times a day. The house was immaculate when we returned with sheets and towels washed- perfect! We had a small flood with the monsoon rains and she even took care of that. Despite my needing to call upon her last minute, she was kind enough to squeeze me in for a Meet and Greet and my pups loved her instantly. I have used Pet Angel for the past couple years, since we moved here to Santa Fe. I have always found Irina to be animal focused - every question she asked to was make my pets more comfortable and taken care of just the way I would. She is always prompt, gives me updates when I ask, is very tech savvy which I like so we are in constant communication. The house is just the way I left it when I return and my 3 dogs are just the same. What more could I ask for? Irina has a big heart when it comes to pets and it shows in her care and attention to detail. It also shows in her pet photography. She took a couple photos of two of my dogs that died this past year. And though I was always snapping a photo it's the two that Irina took that adorn my fridge that I see each day. Beware: Unprofessional and Not Trustworthy I booked with Irina for dates in May, which she confirmed in writing with me back on April 4th. On April 20th she sent me an email stating that one of her "regular" clients now will need her during the dates that she promised me, and that she can't sit for us. This is horrible. Now I have no one to take care of my dear pets while I'm away. This is a very busy season for pet sitters and it will be virtually impossible to find a replacement. Irina has now caused me tremendous problems and I don't know what I'm going to do. She is extremely unprofessional. read more

We have used many pet sitters for many cats and Irina/Pet Angel is one of the best (I can't think of a better one, so maybe the best). She took great care of our pets Sweetpea and Nanners (aka Elizabeth Taylor). Irina has a deep affection for animals which I appreciated. Most pet sitters like animals, but she really appeared to care about their well being beyond the typical pet sitting service and notified us when she thought Nanners was congested and suggested treatment.
