Zoomies has been a great place to take my Toy Poodle, Zoey when she needs some socializing. She shares my home with two teacup poodles, Cleopatra and Julius who are seniors and not always ready to play with a two year old. Zoey comes home exhausted from hours of playtime. Downside is that there is no way to see dogs. Used to have an entrance on the front where there was a little window to get at least a glimpse but they moved the entrance to the back where nothing can be viewed. I also asked to upload photos so I can see her. Last time the desk person said the message was passed on. When I picked Zoey up, I asked about photos and they paused then said they were TOO BUSY. read more

Very nice young people seem interested in helping you and your pet. The bottom line is there is no opportunity for pups to go outside to go to the bathroom all day long. When left for six hours, my senior dog could barely make it off the first step before squatting and peeing a very large amount on the sidewalk Not every dog feels comfortable going to the bathroom inside. I was mostly checking the reviews to this establishment and bought an introductory three full day package. I really don't want to take my dog back because I hate for her to have to hold her bladder over four hours... Haven't figured way to explain to her she just needs to go inside... It's not going to happen and bladder infections in an older housebroken dog are not pleasant for dog or owner. read more

Visiting for one day in Santa Fe, had my pup with me on a road trip. I needed to find a place for him to stay while I enjoyed Meow Wolf for my second time. Looked up local doggy daycare places. Zoomies has a great rating. Called, set up appointment, brought in my dog for eval and he played for 4 hours while I explored the town. Pros: Spoke to friendly & knowledgeable staff to book the eval. Booked it same day, called at 8am and went there around 1030am. Set up an online account and signed the waiver before arrival. Easy and quick behavior evaluation of my dog before acceptance into play group. Able to pay for 1/2 day rate which was affordable. Staff seemed very caring about the dogs. Many regulars dropped off their dogs while I waited for my pup to join, and the staff greeted them by name and dogs looked happy to be there. Cons: None noted, if pressed for a con I would say I don't like the cleaning product they use for the kennel, had a strong "chemically" smell but I would rather they clean it than have it be a strong dog smell. read more

What an unethical business. I knew my dog hated going there but sometimes it's a necessity. Every time I'd hand him off I'd say "he's going to the little side, right?" (He's 25 lbs so I just wanted to confirm as he's scared of big dogs.) They won't give you a tour, and no cameras or photos of the space. Now I learn from a fellow dog owner that they don't even separate them by size - they've been lying to me this whole time! (2 years). Bringing him to Paws Plaza now (they show you the space) and we're both much happier. read more

My dog started going here a few months ago. He loves other dogs and people even more. My dog is super active and not always easy I get that but let him run all day and he's happy! Last week I picked him up after daycare and he was walking with a limp and very uncomfortable. When we got home I inspected his legs and he had bite marks on the inside of both hind legs. I called Zoomies right away and asked if there was an incident that occurred? They said no nothing happened it must have been from "just playing." The fact that they didn't see another dog biting my dogs legs and weren't able to tell me anything was extremely upsetting. They say they have 5 staff with the large dogs at all times. How did nobody see this happening?? Add that on to the not so friendly front desk staff and this place is not worth the price. I love my baby and will not be bringing him back here. Drive the extra five minutes and take your dog to Santa Fe Tails, they're extremely friendly and greet dogs by name and greet you with a friendly hello. It's so worth it and your dog won't come home injured! read more

My dog really loved going here for a while, but he was a puppy so everything was exciting to him. I didn't ever feel comfortable with them not showing me the space. But everyone seemed nice. Twice I picked him up & the person at the front would tell me he got into "a little argument" with another dog. My dog is NOT reactive and doesn't start conflict. He was a PUPPY. The last time I picked him up and was told this, my dog had three large bleeding cuts to his left eye area. THEN I was asked if he had those when he came in. Like, why are you going to tell me there was an incident and then try to backtrack & ask if he already had that? I have a feeling they were stuffing him in with the bigger, older dogs since he's a large breed puppy. Add to that they crushed his foot in the gate on that same day when they were retrieving him for me bc they were trying to keep other dogs back. Heard him cry out and they tried to play it off. Anyway, as they finished their remodeling and you could see into the back through the glass, you could see pens that were PACKED with dogs, dozens just shoulder to shoulder. Not exaggerating. Too many dogs, not enough employees or space. The few employees in the back were just constantly yelling at the dogs. My dog has permanent scars to his face. Haven't been back since. read more

I love being able to leave my dog at Zoomies while I do grocery shopping and errands in Santa Fe. He's a rescue German shepherd with separation anxiety, so he freaks out and destroys things, even his bedding and crate, when left alone. Zoomies has enabled me to have a bit of freedom while dealing with this problem. Luckily, my dog is not aggressive or reactive with other dogs, so it's a safe environment for him because Zoomies puts all potential "member" dogs through a 4-hour evaluation to assess them for dog aggression. To my knowledge, no other boarding facility does this, and I wouldn't use them. I don't want my dog to be attacked by another dog and become fearful because trainers say that one bad experience like that will require 100 positive training experiences to counteract it. I'd rather avoid that scenario. read more

We left our dog here for a couple nights so we could take a hot air balloon ride and take our time walking around the downtown plaza. Leading up to dropping off our dog, they were responsive to my inquiries leading up to drop off and provided some updates during his stay. I entrusted Zoomies with my loved one. She was a playful puppy, full of life and when I picked her up she was weak, sick, very thin, traumatized and despondent for weeks. I had to take her to the vet and he was very concerned about the amount of weight she had lost in a week and she also now had blood in her stools, probably from stress colitis. In addition, when I dropped off my pup, I had been told that she would be kept in a small dog area, she was only about 5 pounds. The person working the front counter said that actually, her big dog "froze" with the other big dogs, so her pitbull would be my dog. I was on my way to the airport and could not do much at that point. I wrote the facility after everything had transpired and we were back home, and there was a very long delay in even getting a response. I felt very non valued as a customer and my concerns were not taken seriously. We had such a horrific experience, that I will most likely never use a boarding facility again. The previous Zoomies owner Andrew was great. The new owners are some corporation out of Arizona and they SUCK. I have been using the groomers at Zoomies and have been quite happy. However, in September, 2023, all three of the groomers left to join a company that provides grooming services in mobile vans that come to your house. Well, it's the same lady who groomed at Zoomies, the price is much higher. I don't know if Zoomies will hire more groomers. read more

I don't know what I would do without Zoomies. I was new in town and needed to find a reliable place for day care and grooming that my pup (who has separation issues) would feel comfortable at. Somehow I found it on my first try! Andrew is wonderful. He listens to your concerns. More importantly, it is run in such a way that my pup feels comfortable there. When I take her there is no reluctance to go in. When I pick her up she is happy as in "I'm happy to see you mom" and not the "get me outta here I never want to come back." For day care, the ability to drop off and pick up without an appointment is wonderful. Her grooming has been perfect. I did initially pick Zoomies partly because of the cage free environment and because if I ever need to leave her overnight it will be cage free. It gives me comfort to know that I have a plan for overnight if I every need it. read more
