I went here after seeing the beautiful nail art and after hearing good reviews about this place from friends who also were clients. The nail art is probably the only good thing about coming here. The results were absolutely beautiful and they lasted for weeks. However, be prepared to spend 4+ hours waiting for a technician to apply Apres gel-x extensions, leave to grab coffee and lunch in the middle of your appointment, and then come back, eat, and then finish your nails. Anything over 3 hours for nails is just unacceptable in my opinion. Just the gel-x application takes 1.5-2 hours. I normally go to another salon that also applies gel-x extensions, it takes them 10-15 minutes to stick them on, and they also last for weeks. They are just way more efficient. The technicians working here need to work faster - their business will literally not scale or make money if every client has to take 4+ hours out of the day just for one full set. I do not have the time or patience to spend all day at the nail salon, especially when the technician takes a break in the middle of my appointment, which makes my appointment drag out longer. While I was getting my nails done, the other technician who was there was coughing, sneezing, and clearly sick, but was not wearing a mask. I was uncomfortable because of how small the space was and because COVID is obviously still going around. All technicians wear face masks at every other nail salon I've ever been to, regardless of being sick or not - it's just best practice to keep everybody involved healthy. Lastly, the technicians are not organized with scheduling and play favorites with certain clients/business. You will see this if you try to go there regularly. It is a nightmare trying to make an appointment with them, and their scheduling system is a disaster. Overall, I was in love with my nails, but very disappointed in the experience, the customer service, the wait time, and honestly, the price. Are they super creative and talented with the nail art? Yes. Am I willing to put up with the otherwise-awful experience? Absolutely not. There are plenty of other spots in NYC that are miles better than this place and still produce beautiful nails. read more

I went to 10 piece yesterday for the 3rd time and already cannot wait to go back! I always go to Keeks and she is so incredibly talented, anything I ask I know she will be able to do and make even better and more unique, and my favorite nails have been when I gave her complete creative freedom. The nails take a while because they are literal art but the time flies by because the shop is such a fun place to hangout at. Love love love Keeks at 10 piece. Have been getting my nails done in NYC for years and Keeks is the best I've been to. Keeks knows how to take care of natural nails, and is careful and gentle. My nails have never been this long and I love it. My favorite work has been when I've given full creative freedom ~ Keeks has good ideas and excellent taste.
