Dr Leopold is great. But if you have root work you need done, GO ELSEWHERE. I am now running up an almost $4,000 tab getting retreatment due to a poorly fitted crown and rushed work on THREE of my roots by Dr PEDRAM SOOFERI. As a point of reference, I inherited pretty unhappy teeth and to date have had several root canals. Not ONCE did I require retreatment. And I've never had an issue with a crown. Sooferi's bedside manner was brusque and he was clearly annoyed that I was a nervous patient. When I came back with complications, he rushed me through repacking the root, now I am suffering ear pain, can't chew on my left side, and 3 endodontist opinions later, understand definitively I have THREE roots infected from that procedure. As a once loyal patient to 1000oaks dental, I'm pretty disappointed this has happened. I thought Sooferi's attitude was a little strange, but wrote it off. Now I know to be more aware! Use DR LEOPOLD. But please, steer clear of DR SOOFERI at all costs, otherwise you'll be $6000 in the hole after adding in the cost of retreatment two years later. read more

Being a senior citizen I have experience with quite a few dental offices. I can honestly say this is by far my favorite. Taylor gives the best cleanings. She continually checks in to see if there is any pain and thoroughly explains what she is doing and why. The front office and dentist are top notch as well. I used to really dread going to the dentist and even though it is still not fun at least I don't need to psyche myself up for a visit. VERY PLEASED! Today was my first visit here. Staff was very friendly and the office relaxed and laid back. Clean and organized. I was treated extremely well. Dentist, Dr Leopold extremely nice, caring and gentle. Talkative, but focused. Good dexterity of his hands. Clearly very experienced. I've been to so many dentists that I can usually tell. I've not had full dental work done yet, but a patient in the waiting room (not crowded) said the dentist "does very good work!" That was a useful comment. Unsolicited. The price and scheduling was also more reasonable than other dentists I've been to, of this caliber. So I left the office in a great mood knowing I'll get great work at a reasonable price. What an amazing experience! I've finally found a office that does a cleaning with efficiency and no hurting afterwards "Becky" did a great job of explaining what she was doing while she cleaned and over all was very knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable having her clean my teeth!! I will say it all starts at the front however the girls were able to contact my insurance and get me set up with x-rays and a cleaning Brittany and Sheila were awesome on getting me booked and ready go so thank you guys! I am a new patient, been there once, and loved the communication and work ethics of the entire staff. I went in today to have them check what I thought was a problem. I called this morning and was able to see them at 3:30. After a careful and complete examination they assured me it was only a minor problem and nothing to worry about. They did ask that I check back with them in a week as a follow up. They did suggest soft foods for awhile, like filet mignon. read more

I found 1000Oaks Dental because I was asked by a very good patient of mine with severe teeth problems and with a difficult financial situation to refer him to a good dentist in Thousand Oaks area, where he was relocating to. After doing some search and asking some friends on Facebook to recommend a decent dentist in Thousand Oaks, I came up with Dr. Sooferi's name. I m very happy with the decision I made. He called me to thank me for my recommendation and showed me a before and after of his treatment. I was really impressed with the work and decided to post this review for this dental office. I just left the office after getting a cleaning and xrays. The staff was friendly and professional. I had previously gone to another dds who wanted to replace several crowns and perform a variety of procedures that were not covered by my insurance. It was nice to hear these were not necessary.
