Dr Mastour is great however Dr Fard is not. All the work I have had done is probably going to be re done when I can pay for it. Also watch out for billing they tryed to bill me twice. Dr. Destler and his staff are great. My first visit was a cleaning and x-rays. It was found that a crown needed to be replaced. Insurance was confirmed and my appointment was set. All in a timely and friendly manner. My temporary crown was placed and was a perfect fit. Today I received my permanent crown and couldn't be happier. I would give this place 0 if it were an option. The new owners are crap! It must be heartbreaking for Dr. Destler to see this place turn to utter garbage. One of the Doctors doesn't wear a mask and breaths straight into your mouth while doing a procedure, tries to say you need unnecessary work done, the other one is just plain negligent, he decided he didn't want to do a root canal in my mouth because the insurance wasn't paying enough so he sealed my tooth with decay in it and it has created a searing infection. Prior to that Gaby did my treatment plan and tried to jack me at out of network prices like I wasn't going to notice, she was once a nice person but I guess being office manager has gone to her head. I am going to find Dr. Destler new office and start going there. These two New Dentists don't need to be in this community. This is a nice community with a small town vibe where people pride themselves on being honest. I decided to give the office another shot after the new owner was kind enough to let me know they are under new management. When I arrived, the hygienist was waiting for me, which is something I appreciate. However, when I booked the appointment I let them know it was time for my yearly exam and x-rays. They didn't have me down for x-rays, but I would *think* it would be automatic that they would do them together. Isn't that normal protocol? The hygienist took me back and I informed her of my sensitivity to the newer sonic tools to remove the plaque. She was great and took that into consideration and it was a much more pleasant experience. However, she kept talking to me while she was cleaning my teeth. I don't know if this is personal preference, but I would think maybe don't make me talk while you have sharp tools in my mouth? On top of that she kept trying to tell me I need Invisalign and I told her I am in the process of getting the money for it and she kept telling me all the ways I can pay for it. YES, I KNOW! I am doing what I CAN DO to pay for it. The up-selling is really disgusting. Afterwards she told me I need to come in every 3-4 months for a cleaning, which is just mind blowing. Sorry, my insurance only pays for every 6 months. I've been coming every 6 months for a cleaning for many years now, and my teeth are in great health. After the cleaning I was brought back up front, and no one seemed to know what to do with me for my exam. When Dr. Destler owned the practice, I would arrive, get x-rays, get cleaned, then the exam would happen right there in the same chair. Every time except for one exam where I needed a couple of fillings, I was told my teeth are fine I just need them straightened. Even after a couple of years he stopped telling me because he knew I knew and I would do it when I can. At this point I could tell it was just going to be a hassle to get the exam so I told them if it's easier I will just do it next appointment in 6 months, but please make sure it is all set up. The next week I got a notice that they severed their contract with my dental insurance, so I will be going elsewhere. I'm honestly happy to try someone else that hopefully has their office together. read more

Stay away from this dental group. They are dishonest. They quoted my portion for an implant after my insurance portion. The office manager demanded auto payments. The tooth is pulled and anchor in place (according to another dentists-Poorly fit- needs to be redone) They have not finished the implant and continue to cancel appointments (10 mins before the appointment). Mean while they have already taken all my portion for this procedure- Now they want to charge me an additional $2500. I have reported this to my insurance and also The Dental Board. read more

NOT recommended! I have been going here for years & in the past few years, I have noticed the ongoing high turn-over in staff. Each time I come, there's a new person working on me. It also appears they never know if I'm due for X-rays or not. Also, to actually see or talk to the dentist himself never seems to occur. In fact, on the rare occasion I have a few questions or concerns for the dentist himself, I end up waiting for over 20 min & appears I am bothering him. He's distracted, appears rushed & definitely can't be really present to what I'm sharing. I do not feel heard or my concern attended to. At one time, I had a chipped tooth... he said he could fix it. It's a horrible job & actually is worse now. I also noticed he charged my insurance company for a $1200 ish procedure that I did not have done. I am truly embarrassed to have kept coming here & just writing these actions off as "Ohhh mistakes happen"... "Maybe a bad day"... Etc... But now... With added issues from my recent visit... I see clear! ENOUGH! NOT ACCEPTABLE! I went in for a teeth cleaning... Reminded them I needed X-rays... Then waited for the dentist to discuss my X-rays... I waited for 30 minutes for him to come talk to me. I finally had to leave due to a prior commitment. The receptionist said the dentist must be behind & will call me. He never did. Since then, I have experienced some tooth pain lately & wanted to know if my X-rays show anything. Again, he did not return my call. It's been weeks. I am DONE! read more

I beyond love Dr. Destler! I have been going to him for 16 years! He is honest, knowledgeable, trustworthy and talented! He doesn't try to talk you into doing tons of unnecessary and expensive procedures! He is conservative for sure! Also, best bed-side manner! dental patients beware!!! the dentist with the last name mastour bought the business not too long ago & still uses the pictures & reviews of the previous owner & staff. he overcharged me $4,400!!! i filed a claim with my hmo that he is part of. they investigated and determined that he did overcharge me by contacting the dental insurance company who said my out of pocket should have been a total of $700 instead of what he charged me. his office told me how much the insurance would pay and i believed them because i've never been lied to by a doctor or dentist about insurance. this was the first time i ever used this hmo insurance plan so i assumed they were telling me the truth and i was desperate to have missing and broken teeth crowned and bridges installed. in order to select the correct crown color i also paid them to laser bleach for $399. it did nothing so they charged me another $75 and still it did nothing. they told me if i paid another $125 they would prepare take home bleach trays and i did. they only gave me two tubes of bleach when the norm is four. i had to buy more bleach on my own. after i paid for the take home bleach set up, the head dental technician told me the reason the laser didn't work was because they didn't use bleach in the gel they use with the laser light. yet they continued to lie about it and wouldn't refund me. the hmo investigation revealed all of this to them but they would not admit or refund. then because i initially explained the overcharge to the dental office to hopefully resolve it without filing a case against them, it ended up exceeding the 60 day time limit that medicare allows to dispute the charges. on top of all of this, the dentist mastour permanently glued in my bridges without letting me look first and one of the crowns in one of the bridges is turned the wrong way. they use the cheapest labs to do their work and then they glue them in instead of sending it back for correction. any dentist that would lie and cheat and glue in defective crowns should not be practicing dentistry on paying patients or anyone else. beware!!! update, i had problems with the excessively overcharged work dr. mastour did in my mouth & went to my new dentist who after a thorough exam & ex rays, found that dr. mastour missed 3 very infected roots & a cavity. dr. mastour permanently cemented in my 2 bridges over these infections as well as a cavity in tooth #5. i reviewed the ex- rays & saw them myself. he also showed me that the margins in the crowns dr. mastour installed were completely wrong. he set me up for an appointment with his endodontist to perform the 3 root canals which thankfully my insurance covered. he had to drill through the bridges to perform the root canals & the bridge on the right fell right out & he was able to remove the cavity as well. then i had to pay my share to have the bridge crowns repaired afterwards. the really bad news is that i was informed that once the bridge is re-cemented, it is not secure & will eventually need to be replaced at my own expense since the insurance already paid their share for them. i can't chew on the right side or use my electric toothbrush or it will fall out sooner & i can ill afford the expense of replacing the bridge. just yesterday i received a refund from delta dental insurance company who became aware of what happened when my new dentist submitted a claim to do the work dr. mastour did not do. i was so pleased because now i will be able to replace everything. dr. mastour is not honest or competent & does not follow his ethical obligations as a dentist!!!!!! update: while eating plain yogurt, one of the lower crowns dr. mastour installed broke into two pieces & fell out of my mouth. so now i need two new bridges & a lower crown!!! dr. mastour needs to find a different profession!!! read more

I don't know what has happened to this place over the past few years. Maybe staff is fatigued? They simply fail to provide helpful and insightful information while simultaneously reaching into the pocket of those they bend over. My last visit before today I had to take off work, and consequently lose money. I waited in the waiting room for almost 1hr 1/2. Not sure how you expect to have any body say any thing good about this place. Staff has tried to over charge me multiple times including Xrays to send to a different dentist. Staff is not accommodating. Was really looking forward to getting my work done that I needed so desperately, but was immediately met with a staff who seems to have problems helping customers. I will tell most people this place was once a great investment, but however it has gone south very quickly. Extremely upset. read more

My husband and I have been going to this dental office for 10 years. Our experience with them has been okay, but unfortunately this last time that my husband went, Dr. Destler really messed up his mouth. He actually punctured a hole under my husband's tongue with a sharp instrument when he was putting in his partial. When my husband became upset, Dr. Destler's only comment was "I'm sorry. But this happens sometimes." Are you kidding??!!! No remorse whatsoever, just a "oh-well" attitude! My husband's tongue was swollen for almost a week and he couldn't eat anything but soup for several days. He was also in a lot of pain. On top of all of this, he noticed that his partial wasn't fitting properly. Today he went back to get it refitted, and was told by Dr. Malik (Dr. Destler's partner) that it needed to be all redone! Again, no remorse when my husband told him what happened with Dr. Destler. His only comment was "Sorry, but this happens. It's happened with me as well." We had given these guys a post dated check for the last payment, and thought, considering what had happened, that perhaps they wouldn't cash the check, but they went ahead and cashed it. I am totally done with this place and will never go back. read more
