been dealing with alex for about 12 yrs off and on , good guy knows his stuff. they have a great yard with the biggest selection and always getting new stone after a number 0f kitchen and baths with customers it was time to do my own and alex took care of me sent over a crew member to make templates and take measurements so i knew exactly how many sq yards of stone worked out to 2 full slabs remember your dealing with stone there is no second chance or redo's. went and put my deposit on 2 slabs which once you start looking at there yard youll go nuts with so many choices once picked it was time for his crew to do there magic they delivered 2 weeks later and installed these heavy ass counters with all the pieces from to slabs where other shops told me three because they dont have the skill to use every inch. kitchen came out awesome .. remember also you cant be in a rush, and always communicate alex answered his personal phone everytime i called over the 2 month process . I am so sorry, I thought I posted my review in an attempt to save people like yourself from using this company) THIS PLACE DESERVES NO STARS. **DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR BUSINESS*** To second Veronica, STAY AWAY from this company! If you are looking for a professional job, I repeat do not use this company. I had been doing a kitchen remodel and it was time to start scouting out countertop stores for the job. I headed to Pacoima because word of mouth is that there are a lot of shops this way. I was greeted by Alex, who at the time seemed very friendly and customer service driven (that is until the check was cut)! That is when it seemed like, I, no longer was a priority. He was rude and charged me more money for the install because he states I didn't mention it was a farmhouse sink set up. I told you Alex, YOU just didn't care to listen because you had half of the invoice paid already. The install was complete crap!!! Multiple contractors that do upscale homes said,"Who the hell installed this." Let me tell you, that feels good after you have already given a company your money. The cabinets were level and square, which was confirmed by multiple professionals. The leveler that one of the workers was using, which looked as if it had been around since WWII, said otherwise. They ended up putting wood chip cribbing to "level" it out and now its on a slight tilt and in some spots you can see the plywood. I am not happy at ALL with the install and I hope this place goes out of business! Why? In order to spare the rest of the consumers out there that do not go to yelp to investigate first! He and his installer, Sam were extremely professional , informative , and helpful throughout the entire process . This place is a joke they did my kitchen about 5 years ago BIG mistake!!! The materials they used were beyond cheap !!! My cabinets were falling apart within 6 months about 2 months later my counters started cracking!! I called a few times for Hani no one ever return any of my calls service was horrible they left my house a mess unprofessional didn't cover anything they promised me so much and delivered nothing they would show up when they wanted give me tones and would show up different days or even hours what was supposed to taken1 week took 3 weeks this place is horrible don't waste your money seriously I regret it everyday of my life I'm still thinking of taking them to small claims the job they did was a nightmare I would cry every time I looked at my kitchen. Haven't yet posted a review on yelp but was motivated to do so as i was very satisfied with my experience with 101 Granite. I happened upon their "store" location after checking out slab shops in the area and met Hani and got a price for granite and a stainless steel fsrmhouse sink that was hard to pass up. It was prepared for a little substandard quality that i could rework myself, due to the pricing. I asked if i could look at the slab (I had an island that required a top that wasnt prefabbed) and the prefabbed pieces before delivery. They accommodated this and they were ok with swicthing the pieces if i wasnt happy with them. So with this i felt good enough to make the down payment. My thinking was that if the slab and prefabbed pieces looked good, then i could try to fix anything else after install. I was gambling on everything going well with the installation as i havent worked with these guys before. But ill say it one more time, the price was great, and so i was willing to accept sub par work as i was confident i could fix any issues myself...as long as the pieces were satisfactory. About 3 days later Alex called to let me know the slab was in. I gotta say, in dealing over the phone and in person with both Hani and Alex, my experience was very good! So the pieces looked good, better than expected really. The sink was very attractively priced and so i wasnt disappointed that it wasnt absolutely perfect, but were talking minor imperfections. But its ok and itll work. The crew called before they arrived for the install and i was there to observe the process. I just gotta say Jorge and his guys did a professional install and worked around issues like the plywood not being perfectly level and raising the sink as they had to shim that section to level it with the adjoining piece with a positive attitude. The install was done well. Overall, im a very happy customer. I got a beautiful countertop for great price and the customer service experience couldnt have been better. I would recommend 101 Granite to anyone and will do so to friends that are looking for granite countertops. read more

My experience was great. I only bought a countertop. I cannot comment on installation. I met with Steve and then Alex. I was able to shop without pressure. They made a few promises which they kept. These guys did an amazing job!! My husband and I searched in multiple places and Granite 101 gave us the best price and the quickest service. We made the deal in about 15 minutes, we only wished we would have been here sooner. After we made the deal, 3 days later we had new countertops. Their staff checked in with us regularly and by noon they were done. The owner even came by to make sure we were satisfied.
