Good food, great service, and cost is very reasonable. Now, the coffee was solid and it was the highlight of my visit. The portions look small, but don't let that fool you, because it is more than enough I was stuffed. One of my favorite Mexican spots in Edinburg! Love their breakfast tacos here, especially because of their super fresh and fluffy flour tortillas! I have had their combo carne guisada and enchiladas plate and that is also on point. I have taken a mixed botana for two to go and it was a ton of food! I would say that it can easily feed a group of 3 or 4 instead of just 2. Only about $23 or so. My girl and I both agreed that the chicken was super good and so flavorful. It was definitely better than the beef fajitas, that were a little chewy. They have a super cool mural on one side that shows Highway 107 from Mission all the way to Santa Rosa. read more

If there was a option for Zero stars I would be using it.I've been going to this restaurant for years and recently had a fundraiser with them & my sons school at B.L.Garza.I bought all five tickets so 10$ each one, so 50$.I past the deadline by ONE day, I called the next morning asking if I could still pick up those plates .That I purchased for my son.I had understood thier deadline but , by one day , I didn't ask for my money back nor wanted to make a huge scene.Just want to see if I could get the plates I paid for.The manager rudely said "no".I asked if I could at least have 2 plates out of the 5 that I paid for, and he still said "no".Being a customer who's dinned there for years , with my family.I was shocked,your telling me a "family " "respected " restaurant is willing to loose a customer they have been having for years for 50$.What I don't get is why?The tickets were paid for by me.The food purchase wasn't on some special promotion or deal.They were not at discounted price.If it was another manager he would have simply said " of course just make sure next time your come before for the deadline " I paid for the TICKETS .Your not losing your money as a business your just losing a customer who brought customers to your restaurant and scamming them.The money wasn't the issue the lack of sympathy ,and being a money hungry business is why I will no longer be dining here.Not showing sympathy for a one day ,AFTER IT WAS ALREAYD PAID .How embarrassing your should be ashamed. My family and I went to this cafe after church on Sunday for breakfast. We arrived at 11:25 and our hostess stated breakfast was over at 11. We ordered lunch and watched as the table next to us received breakfast. We walked in at the same time as that table. I let the waiter know what happened and he stated that breakfast usually ends at 11:30 on Sundays. We received our food and 5 minutes into our meal I see a worm crawling across my cheeseburger. To say the least, we were very disappointed and will not be returning. Our waiter was polite and prompt. That was the only positive aspect of our terrible experience. I was impressed with the food and the portion size; it's worth the money at this mom and pop diner. I had the panchos deluxe since they didn't have a botana for one. It literally filled the plate with heaps of beef, chicken and sausage on top of melted cheese, refried beans and tortilla chips. Of course sliced onions and tomatoes for good measure. I shared a bit of French fries from my moms seafood platter and they were excellent, flash fried and golden brown. Do NOT eat at this restaurant. If you got sick, report it to the health department. They reuse the tortillas that you don't eat. Someone told me, and i saw it with my own eyes. I attach a picture of the guy that does it. Service is ok. read more

After passing this place several times, I finally stopped in here for a quick lunch with guests in town from Austin. Pleasantly surprised to see a Route 66ish feel decore with a TexMex twist. 5 of us sat down and they brought a bowl of about 10 chips. After we each ate 2, we inquired if we could try some more and were honored with 1 more 10 chip bowl. We had tacos, enchiladas and fajitas. It was neither good nor bad. The service was unenthusistic and not quite welcoming- perhaps due to cultural/language barriers. I may try again just due to the decor and close location to where I live and will provide a follow up rating. read more

This is a decent Mexican restaurant. I think natives enjoy its authenticity. I've had breakfast (cheap, pretty good) and lunch (also acceptable). Prices are right. I'd prefer more Americanized selections, but compared to some other Mexican restaurants, it rates fairly high. read more
