Look at the beans served to an adult... ugh and meh terrible !!!!!

There is NOOOOO way these reviews are real!!! This is chorizo and potato plate for an ADULT!! looks more like a cheap-greasy terrible kids meal. The beans are terrible runny and about one tablespoons worth. The service was meh. The ambiance was mediocre at best...

Doesn't look like your regular dine spot but a old service station converted to a restaurant. Your drinks are served in 32oz plastic pitchers to quench your thirst. The food full of flavor and delicious. Hope y'all enjoy this spot as much as I did.

A Mexican breakfast meal.

Husbands favorite Mexican breakfast. We go every Saturday. The French toast and omelettes are my favorite. Fun to watch them make the tortillas. Friendly servers. Restrooms but clean.

An old gas station converted into a restaurant. The food was amazing and the portions were very generous. I was originally going to get a shrimp cocktail as a meal but since it's fresh it would've taken longer, and we were in a hurry. There's no refills on most drinks but they're served in larger glasses, so I didn't actually need one like I usually do. I definitely do recommend this place if you love Mexican food and you're looking for an inexpensive restaurant in the area.

My drink! Too cool!!

Authentic Mexican food! Very good! Had the menudo...but needed LOTS of lemon for flavor. Plates are a good size and the tortillas are homemade! Only con was that my glass was dirty when I got my water.

Just had brunch here this morning for the first time! It was delicious!! There was a line, but for Sunday mid morning it wasn't bad, and we were seated promptly. The tea was delicious, and the Denver omelette was great! Two eggs, bell peppers, ham, onions, and cheddar cheese and hash browns. It comes with toast but i opted for a biscuit. The restaurant is very colorful and fun!

Hubby and I had breakfast here after dropping our RV off for service. It was about 10AM. As we pulled into the parking lot, I had to look twice as I thought we were at a gas station. After closer inspection I see it must be a converted gas station. I almost departed but due to positive reviews and hunger I went in. I was totally surprised as the restaurant is very cute. About 30 square tables for 4 all topped in brightly colored cloths. The walls painted yellow and the decor very cute. Hubby and I both ordered huevos rancheros and were not disappointed. It is hard to mess that up. But what surprised me was the basket of crispy fresh chips and warm salsa that canes with the order. The tortillas could not have been fresher as we watched a woman make them as we waited. A friendly man took our order and I wondered how his white shirt could look so crisp and clean as he worked as server, greeter, and bussed tables. This is a good place to eat. We were the only "gringos" in the place of about 16 at that time of day. But we are used to that here in the valley where we live.

Huevos a la mexicana were delish. I really wanted to order potatoes then was delighted when my plate was served with potatoes! Score!!!

I couldn't wait to eat breakfast in the RGV since this is my hometown! We walked into this place and there was a fiesta of music going on at like volume 10!!! I didn't expect it to be Ponchos style in there. The music was too loud for my taste. We asked if it could be lowered (diva status) ---- they obliged. How nice! There was a lady working the tortillas like no ones business so you know them tortillas were fresh!!!! The waiter was nice. The breakfast was hot and yummy. The salsa was flavorful!!! It was a great breakfast. Omg!! One more thing, the water and drinks are served in like a mini pitcher. I thought it was cute. Lol.

One of my favorites! Delicious authentic Mexican food. They have two locations but, I definitely prefer this one. Home-made tortillas that you can see being made right in front you. Love their sweet tea & hot salsa. The staff is always super friendly & attentive.

I've been here twice for breakfast and the food Feels like my grand mother just made it for me, highly recommended

Okaaaay McAllen I see you! I came out here on a Friday night around 8pm, the place was lively, good…read moremusic on the speakers and it instantly felt like the weekend. With no reservation, I was asked to kindly take a seat in the small waiting area to clear a table. I was instantly greeted with a friendly smile and felt welcomed. I was seated within 5 minutes. I had a late lunch and wasn't super hungry. I couldn't pass up the refried beans and chips since they were wafting in my vicinity, no regrets though, the chips were on the lighter side (not super hard like a tostada) and crispy and you could taste the manteca in the beans which made me smile. Según, I had no intention on eating but I couldn't pass up the aguachile as it came to my table. Twas delightful! The only regret I had at that point was not bringing my appetite. Onto the drinks. Wanted to start off "light" and the Paloma was perfect and refreshing. Not too much on the squirt side, not amargoso (bitter) and the right amount of tequila. During the night they abruptly announced that they were running a 2 for 1 shot special along with LMFAO's "Shots" song and you almost feel obliged to order (marketing genius). I was feeling adventurous and decided not to ask what each shot entailed, but rather to go based off the name. I went with the Perla Negra and for the presentation itself it was worth ordering. All in all, this place is a MUST for your Friday night warm up. Como dice terminator: I'll be back.

7/10 Flautas de papa 9/10 avocado chilaquiles…read more 7/10 chorizo chilaquiles 5/10 beans A coworker who works in the area recommended this place. I'm a huge migas fan and never thought to try chilaquiles. This place did not disappoint. I added eggs, chorizo and avocado with half green and half red sauce. I was surprised to get each adding in an individual stack. I managed to get my egg yolk over the avocado and chorizo. The food was really good, just not what I expected. The flautas de papa were a great buy. Instead of using a corn or flour tortilla to mop up my plate, I was able to use the flauta and with the papa in it, they were like little sponges soaking up all the leftovers

My favorite is the Tacos Llorarás (you will cry taco) which features a handmade corn tortillas stuffed with a chile relleno made of jalapeño and cream cheese, plus a flavorful beef birria.
