Staff were awesome, arepas sandwiches were great, and the rice smoothie was absolutely scrumptious. I was feeling a little under the weather after a long night out and this meal really healed me.

We wanted to try something new in the area and haven't had arepas in a long time so we figured WHY NOT! 11 degrees north is the perfect place to go for a variety of arepas. The menu was huge! I was overwhelmed but settled on the Pabellon. It was perfect. Exactly what I was craving and if you're a cheesehead, the amount they put on here is crazy! Both our arepas were made fresh to order and came out nice and hot. The beef was flavorful, not too overcooked and perfectly juicy (careful for the drip out the bottom). We also ordered the Caribbean coffee and the tropical smoothie. Both were good! The coconut milk gave it a wonderful flavor. Definitely different and if you're not a fan of coconut flavors, you will not like this. One caveat for me is I do wish they would serve the arepa on a small plate. I love how they stuff the arepas, but it can get messy and it's hard to catch everything that falls out in the small holder that it comes in. Not to mention I was getting cheese everywhere hahaha Overall, very delicious arepas and I would recommend for those looking to try something new!

Came back for round 2 with my fiance and boy was he delighted. He ordered a breakfast arepa. After telling me how much he loves the food between bites he also made sure to tell me how much he looooves me and how good my recommendations are. I had to go for round 2 on the cheesie sandwich. After extensive breakfast sandwich research in the north side of Chicago, I can confidently say this is my favorite one. From my first bite to my last all I can think is "oh my god this is the best thing I've ever eaten". Demolished in 10 bites. And so satisfied. Horchata latte was not my taste, but that doesn't mean it's not yours, so definitely still try it and make your own opinion! 10/10 on my second visit

This is an amazing sandwich shop. We all LOVED each of our sandwiches. Highly recommend Pelua Beef, plantains, Gouda cheese and garlic cilantro sauce. My sons loved Pabellon Beef, plantains, black beans, Caribbean cheese and garlic cilantro sauce. My husband wanted something simple and thought the Porkie breakfast sandwich was great!

All I can say is what a gem this place is! We'd been eating breakfast at a bagel place close to our hotel... every morning. The place is close and the food is good, but when I saw 11 Degrees North just a short walk the other way I knew we had to go. The space is small, but comfortable. Menus cover the walls and are readily available in yelp pictures. They also have a website with all breakfast and drink options listed with all details. We were the first ones in the door after they opened. After being greeted with a smile, we ordered coffee while we reviewed the menu. So many options! We opted for the Havana and Santa Monica arepas. As we were enjoying our coffee, our food was brought from the kitchen and they let us know to come pick it up. These sandwiches were huge and hot and so delicious. The way my Santa Monica was filled provided different tastes from the top to the bottom. Cheese, egg and bacon were the immediate stars. The sausage was large enough to make it nearly to the bottom of the arepa. The chive cream cheese was more towards the bottom, so that flavor kicked in a little later. The last couple of bites were mostly arepa, which was great. The corn flavor was very fresh. With so many options, 11 Degrees North will be our breakfast go to for the next couple of mornings before we head home.

I'm visiting with her from NC, and 11 Degrees is her favorite breakfast joint. My Eggie Biscuit was equally tasty, the egg had a flavorful saltiness to it. Overall, 6 out of 6 stars for the food, and the young lady at the counter was great too!

Curiosity draws me to 11 Degrees North. It looks intimate. 11 Degrees North reminds me of a cafe that I would find in a small town or it would make a perfect backdrop for a film. Joseph uses Ritual, a food app to order for me lunch. Seeing that I follow a vegetarian diet, he orders the vegetarian bowl. This comes with sliced avocados, sliced mushrooms, tomatoes, and lettuce on top of a bed or rice. It tastes heavenly. When I go to pick up my order, the wait staff gives it to me quickly. No hassles and done with ease, I like that. Come to 11 Degrees North for lunch or supper. Bring friends, family or even a date.

Ordered a caribbean coffee. The creme of coconut and caramel is a mixed syrup, so you can't get less of one, and I prefer the real thing. But this place has the best pricing out of a lot of other cafes which is a win for a go to coffee place. After passing this place for years we decided to check it out. Tucked between N Halsted and N Clark is an amazing little Venezuelan Arepa shop with great coffee. We stopped by around 10:30am just as the morning crowd was easing up and ordered the Havana, Island Pork, and La Pelua arepa. Honestly they are all so flavorful and filling you probably just need one per person, but each has a unique flavor. The staff was friendly and didn't rush us as we were browsing the menu. The pork is tender and flavorful while the arepa itself is gluten free but compliments the filling well. We also ordered the Caribbean Iced Coffee and the Dulce de Leche Latte. The Caribbean has coconut and coconut flavoring that you would think would be overpowering but actually isn't and adds a fun twist. The place itself only had about 6 tables and the food comes out in these little metal holders. The only issue we ran into was the table was a little sticky from a prior patron so we covered it with napkins while we ate.

Before today I only got smoothies at 11 degrees north. Probably some of the best in the area for the price and ingredients. The employees are always pleasant and it's pretty quick to place an order, check out, and recieve your order. It's a small little place but there is definitely plenty of seating for you to sit by yourself or grab a bite with a friend or two. It's in a really good spot too, right by the Belmont red line station so you can grab some breakfast on your way to work!

Y'all y'all y'all!!!! I've lived in the Clark/Belmont area for over two years and just discovered this gem a few weeks ago. I've been back multiple times now and love their sandwiches and coffee. One of the best coffee spots in the area! For the sandwiches, I recommend getting an additional side of their garlic sauce- SO. GOOD. AH. As a Philadelphian living in Chicago the one thing that I crave more than anything else is a good bagel. 11 degrees north has finally answered my call! I had a dope bagel sandwich this morning. Everything bagel with egg cheese and pork sausage. The sausage was super flavorful and the bagel was super good not soggy or tasteless. The only weird thing about my experience was the coffee I ordered tasted good but I received it lukewarm. Definitely will be going back and hopefully by then the coffee will be a little hotter. read more

This is my go to spot in the neighborhood. Its unassuming so it's easy to miss but the inside is friendly and cozy. The arepas are packed and overflowing with delicious ingredients and their juices are really flavorful and satiating. The workers are always nice and full of positive energy. In town from LA and my brother ordered this for us while we nursed a hangover. The veggie bowl was AMAZING. Some of the best mushrooms I've ever had. So I'm writing this review from the restaurant now, 3 days later because I had to come in and get the veggie bowl again. The best little secret in Lakeview! Awesome place to enjoy bowls and arepas (sandwiches) created with love and fresh ingredients like avocado, goat cheese, plantains, mushrooms. Wonderful beverages too! Always great for any meal, especially breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack- you can order on line and pick up. Small eat-in deli-like place but perfect place to meet someone for a chat or a delicious "from the islands" meal. Hardworking crew and really great people. It may take a little wait to get your food but it will be worth it. I am almost afraid to spread this secret lest they get too busy. read more

Nice tea selection and the smoothies are awesome! Gluten free Arepas are outstanding, even more so when you can obtain one with less than $10, assuming you're stingy and don't want to tip the dude behind the register...maybe $11. The pabellón is superb! They make very good food here and I'd love to have it again sometime! read more

This place was a great find! Saw some reviews on Yelp when I was in town and a few friends needed a quick breakfast so we walked a few blocks to this place. The employees were very helpful and friendly and we all got varying biscuit sandwiches. All were a hit! Loaded with eggs/veggies/meats/cheese - whatever you please! The sandwiches were so big that we definitely needed to use a knife and fork to eat - no complaining here on that part. Coffee drinks were also delicious. If you're in the neighborhood, I'd suggest checking the place out! read more

Tried this place on a whim and holy moly are we glad we stumbled upon 11 Degrees North!! We got the 2020 (FANTASTIC), the Havana (SO SO GOOOOOD), and the Porkie (husband said was one of the best biscuit sandwiches he's had!) Got 2 lattes, also great. Amazing place to have coffee, food, snacks, study or just hang out and have a conversation. They have AREPAS (Venezuelan Food) and they are wonderful, the cheese perfectly melted makes them taste so good. Try their Caribbean Lemonade (papelon con limón) and you will feel like in the Caribbean... and last but not least they are really friendly people and will make the best to serve you! I went here for the first time today and really liked it! The lady who took my order was welcoming and let me look at the menu while telling me to ask if I had any questions. I chose the pabellon sandwich which had beef, black beans, plantains, cheese and aioli- a great mix of sweet and savory. Lunch was filling and tasted great! Stopped by here to get a bite when I noticed it was open. They had quite a few interesting sandwiches, Buddha bowls, and smoothies on the menu. I ended up ordering the pretzel bun garden Grove sandwich. I love portabella mushrooms and goat cheese, but they made sure to load it with a lot of other veggies with enough tart to cut the rich mushroom and cheese flavors. I had my order to go, and the sandwich came pretty quickly. The space inside is pretty cozy with tall ceilings and the music was at a nice volume - potentially a good place to spend some time. Overall it was a pretty good sandwich and I wouldn't mind coming back to try some of their other stuff. read more

Oh Lawd... I think I just finished eating my newest favorite breakfast sandwich! Food - 5/5 Stars Got the Santa Monica Arepa. It was finger-licking divine. Service - 5/5 Stars Awesome... I called before placing my order with Ritual and asked if I could replace the sausage with avocado. The man on the phone simply replied, "of course," and the rest was history. The avocado portion was a nice size of several thin slices of avocado and was the perfect ripeness too. Not too hard. Not too soft. Just right! Value - 5/4.5 Stars I would say it is not a great deal, but it was definitely a fair deal, no doubt. The price is fair given the quality of the sandwich, supply and demand of this kind of sandwich and the time it takes to make this kind of sandwich. I'd definitely get this sandwich at this price again but I would probably be hesitant to do so if it was much more expensive or was any smaller of a sandwich. But to be clear, hell yeah I will be returning for this deliciousness! No doubt! Thanks for a great breakfast sandwich to start my day 11 Degrees North! See you again soon! :) read more

Its a small coffee shop that also serves sandwiches and arepas (gluten free). Definitely a plus for having gluten free arepas. They have quite a variety of sandwiches, teas, coffees and smoothies. I ordered the chicken arepa and a tea. The arepa itself was nice and fresh but the cheese on top was not. It was all dried out like it was a bit stale. Stale cheese are your first bite for a lunch is not what I was looking for. Overall a decent place to sit grab a nice lunch and I would go back but it will not be my first choice. read more

The little place is a neighborhood favorite. Small with limited seating (25). A good variety of Venezuelan food and drinks. I ordered the Venezian. The ingredients were very tasty but it was all chicken at the bottom. Could have used more pesto mayo. I wish they would have mixed the ingredients in the sandwich (desegregation). read more

This place is a must-go. I've been here twice and the first time I opted for a more "American" breakfast sandwich (bacon, egg, cream cheese, cheddar on jalepeño cheddar bagel) which did not disappoint. The second time I ordered a more Latin American-inspired "la peluta" which was amazing as well. 11 Degrees North is a casual option that does not compromise on flavor, quality, and atmosphere. Highly recommend checking this place out! read more

Big fan of this place and it's arepas and coffees! They have a huge selection of menu items that can make it difficult to pick something but I've been here twice now and have enjoyed everything I had here. The ingredients taste fresh and they have a wide ranging selection of sandwiches. Perfect place to stop in for a quick lunch or grabbing something to go. It's not the cheapest place but I assume there is a surcharge for being a "trendy spot" where millennials can grab their fancy coffees as they seriously stare into their computers and phones! So I would be giving it 5 stars for all the above reasons... But today, unfortunately, I had a strange experience with the girl at the front who takes everyone's orders. As I walked in, she stared at me with a cold stare as I approached the front to order something. I smiled instinctively and was instead met with a sneer. I didn't let it bother me too much and waited patiently for her to come over and take my order. She took her sweet time and then gruffly asked me for my order. I smiled again, a little uncomfortable and gave my order. She refused to look me in the eyes and seemed completely annoyed to have to take my order. I walked away a little unsure if I should have got it to-go and waited for my food. I noticed that she wasn't treating the other patrons the same, there was smiles and niceties being exchanged. After I ate, I had to deal with her again and this time the cold stare had turned into a look of disgust. It made me feel uncomfortable enough to leave soon after. The three stars is for the service in essence. Maybe she was having a bad day, or maybe she just had a bad experience with someone who looked similar to me. It felt very much like isolated animosity. I don't want to assess intent, but I did happen to be the only brown person in the place during my time there. Anywho, regardless of the reason, any establishment should consider who they have at the front of a business. It can make the difference between a repeat customer or one that will reconsider their patronage. read more

It was definitely slow roasted (shredded, along the lines of carnitas) and I could taste a hint of citrus and bay leaf. What surprised me most was that it was not dry at all and the entire dish was well seasoned (not bland as some hashes can be). Portion size was good, I took home half the hash for breakfast the next day. These are the types of local places that are hidden gems and Tribù Caffè is now at the top of my list for breakfast places. Great service, phenomenal food.

Their shop offers both indoor and outdoor seating that feels welcoming and like I am eating my meal or drinking my beverage in a friend's home, which I love. My regular order is the Avocado Bagel and their Cold Brew. At this point it's not just included in my weekly routine but something that I have a couple of times a week, it is that good. Outside of the friendly owners, great food and great ambiance, it feels amazing supporting this small business within the neighborhood. Thank you, Jujin for the amazing eats. I will see you soon!

I've gotten food twice from here now - the first time I ordered the K-Seoul chicken sandwich which came covered in spicy k-seoul sauce, topped with smoked gouda, kimchi, cucumber ribbons, picked veggies, Japanese mayo and sesame seeds. This may have been the best chicken sandwich I've ever had! The chicken is massive, fried to perfection, and the flavors are just exceptional. Yesterday I went back to try their wraps- and I ended up with the Tso Good Wrap with crispy chicken, and the Chicken Caesar with grilled chicken. These things are still HUGE - I was picturing like a snack-wrap size, instead each one was like it's own burrito. The cost is so so worth it to me, I ended up getting two meals out of it. Overall I wish they had more locations in Chicago (come on down to Lincoln Park!!). But until then, I will still be ordering delivery for the best chicken in Chicago
