Visually the items were the same, perhaps a little paler in color for some things like the scones. We each chose a pot of tea -- I went with an almond one and later got an included refill of a different variety, a chocolate raspberry, and both were knock your socks off amazing. Service was just attentive enough, and even the picky eater seemed to enjoy everything.

You do make a deposit if you are doing a tea service. I decided to go here for a Mother's Day tea lunch. We had the full tea service and my son had a child's tea. The interior is cute and I love how all of the China is mismatched. They have a large selection of teas and I chose a rose flavor. It was excellent with just the right amount of floral notes. My son had the birthday cake which had a nice vanilla aroma. Everyone gets their own pot, which is neat. They change their menu every month, but I think my favorites for the May tea, were the tomato sandwich and vanilla scone. The table was set with individual jars of clotted cream. We ordered cucumber sandwiches which were beautiful and tasty. Our server was very sweet. We plan to come back, especially for mom related celebrations.

I was pretty taken aback by how many dessert options they had. Not only did they have a plethora of types of desserts, but they had sooo many flavors/varieties of each one. A dozen different variations of cheesecakes, several cupcake varieties, a dozen different kinds of macarons, several different cakes, tiramisu, tres leches, banana pudding, edible cookie dough, more cookies than I could name, brownies, eclairs, and more that I'm sure I have forgotten. If you can name it, I'm sure they have it. I've been looking for somewhere nearby to get a proper macaron (as opposed to a hard, macaron shaped cookie without the traditional texture) at a reasonable price point. This definitely met those criteria, so of course we tried a flower shaped macaron. It had the perfect, delicate cookie and that classic, light almondy flavor. We also had a brownie batter cookie, which was delicious and reminds me of something I would have saved on Pinterest a decade ago but never gotten around to making, much less as well as they do. Though there was a line inside, we were served super quickly by friendly staff, and found a nice seat outside in the sun. They also had abundant indoor seating. Maybe I'm the last one to hear about Sweet Dough and everyone else has been a fan, or maybe it's a true hidden gem. Either way, I will 100% be back.

I have probably gone to Sweet Dough close to a dozen times, most of the time with my toddler, teenage athletes that I coach, or my husband, and no one that I know has ever left disappointed. The desserts are phenomenal. I can personally attest to the great quality of various cakes, banana pudding, bars, cookies, macarons, cheesecake, and the cinnamon buns OH MY GOSH. The prices are very reasonable and most of the servings are awesome! It's also a great hangout spot for a small group. I had team bonding with my volleyball team there last year; we played board games and just kept getting more desserts and coffee! In fact, I need to get out that way and get some more dessert (I'm getting hungry as I type!). The staff are friendly and give good recommendations, and I have never had to wait for food.

They actually know what they are doing when it comes to afternoon tea. I drove here from Charlotte and it was completely worth it. You can tell that these items are homemade, unlike most other local places. The food items are fantastic and they have a great tea selection. Service was great too. I already have another reservation to come back.

First of all, booking a reservation was super easy. They were very accommodating. I was able to do all my communication via email. Two days before the reservation, I got my invoice, which was 30% of the total of all the teas. This was then taken off our total we received at the tea. Next, the tea was amazing! The apple cider chai was to die for. I believe we tried the valentines blend as well. That was a fun black tea option. My absolutely favorite was the blueberry cinnamon. Omg! Absolutely magnificent! The food and snacks were to die for. The French onion soup bites were delish and I LOVE the idea. The cucumber sandwiches were so tasty with the herb cream cheese. And I don't even like cucumbers!!!! The chocolate chip scone.... Omg Mouthwateringly good. All the pastries were also so flaky and flavorful. I already want to go back and visit again. From the tea to the food to the polite service and to the cute teapots and artwork on the wall - the entire experience was incredibly positive.

I keep forgetting to pay attention to the actual price to write it in a review, but I always remember that it is absolutely dirt cheap. I'm thinking somewhere in the $5 or less range. And they fill UP that small. I'm generally a "would order a banana split and eat it all myself" type of person, but the small does not leave me unsatiated. My combination of choice is cake batter fro-yo with pie cherries, Oreos, and cookie dough. They layer the toppings in, so it's not just piled up on top -- you get ice cream, toppings, more ice cream, more toppings, and a little dollop of ice cream artfully extruded right on top. And as a bonus, a note on the cookie dough: it isn't those little dry balls of dough you normally see at the self-serve fro-yo bars. It is the Pillsbury "eat or bake" (safe to eat raw) cookie dough that comes in the tub. They pull a giant tub out from under the counter and serve you a very generous scoop of it. Staff are nothing but friendly and helpful when I've been. Interior is super spacious and relatively clean -- tons of tables, and I've never touched something sticky.
