    Matcha tea and mango tea
    Amber J.

Stopped by here for a Yelp event and got to try two different drinks. I was so excited to try these out since I have never tried Boba before. I will say this was a good first experience! Both drinks were very different from each other but both very full of flavor. I had to get something with mango in it because I love mangoes and it tasted like it was a freshly squeezed mango! I also got one of their popular Matcha tea, and it was not what I was expecting, but it was still extremely tasty. Definitely something I would order again!

This place is awesome! I came here once last week and had to come back and show my wife as it's that good. I ordered the brown sugar bubble tea both times. It's amazing but be sure to ask for light ice. The decor of the restaurant is really authentic and provides for a great experience. Next time I want to try some the Vietnamese desserts as they also look delicious.

Really enjoyed my first visit to Akoko during their soft opening! The space is beautiful. Soft greens and browns makes for an inviting atmosphere and there's plenty of room in case there's a crowd. The little girl working the register was so helpful with making my choices with me. I went with the brown sugar milk swirl with honey boba, garlic soy chicken bites, and the Che coco leaf dessert. The boba was everything I want in a boba tea - so yummy, I want to try more! The chicken bites were a bit overcooked but still really good! The Che was unlike anything I've ever had before. The Vietnamese dessert contains red and white beans which is a first for me but at least I can say I tried it! I can't wait to return to try more boba off their menu - next time a fruity flavor!

Ladies and gentlemen, they have finnaly open!! The interior is beautiful and the service was fast. I wanted to try everything on the menu and I will probably by the end of the year! Che is a like a Vietnamese snow cone. Serve with fresh fruit and jelly. So good!! So if you're In the area stop by and give it a try!!!

If the parking lot is full in front of the shop, there is ample parking to the side of the small shopping center. When you walk in, the decor is the first thing that will capture your eye. This has to be the cutest place. This is the perfect little hang out for a young group (even the older crowd ). They have ample seating. The menu isn't too overwhelming. They have a nice selection of teas, smoothies and small food orders. The order counter is closer to the back and the pick up window is across from the cute boba statue. The cotton candy machine is so unique. There was an option for cash or card. It didn't take my card. A nice gentleman said it took cash only, it was $6. If you need to get change, they have it at the counter. The machine is so adorable. It is pretty cool to watch it spin your cotton candy. You can pick the shape you want. It didn't come out just like the picture, but it was still extra delightful. The peach jasmine tea was so good. The only thing I didn't like was that I drank it all too quickly. I almost bought another one, but I stopped myself. My daughter said her brown sugar milk tea was really tasty. She loved the boba. They have a selfie wall and it was super clean. I've already texted my friends and told them about this place. I literally can't wait to go back.

Happy to find out Akoko has opened in triad area! I tried it when I was in Boston. I ordered the Che Halo Halo, replaced jackfruit with lychee. Love everything with one recommendation to make sure the crushed ice / shaved ice is really crushed or shaved when it was served, they melt together formed a giant ice cube that made it hard/messy to dig in. Overall I love Che dessert and combination of everything, not too sweet, good to have in hot day. We also tried 2 drinks and 2 snacks - dragonfruit lychee tea, green Thai milk tea, salt and pepper flavor popcorn chicken and takoyaki. Both fruit and milk tea have syrup in default ingredient, even I ordered with 0% sugar, the dragonfruit tea came out too sweet for my taste, but the green Thai milk tea is perfect. A good alternative and more refreshing than traditional Thai milk tea with just a little hint of sweetness. Love the salt and pepper popcorn chicken, the batter is thin, chicken is juicy, a good snack to go with any drink here. Takoyaki is good if anyone loves it, for me, it is quite the same as others. The place is very clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Would definitely come back to try other Che and drinks!

What a cute new place in Greensboro! I stopped in for the soft opening and to try a Thai tea milk tea for a caffeine boost. It's definitely that! They use a high quality tea from Vietnam and you can taste the difference. It's a bold tea, even for a Thai tea, it packs a punch. But the flavor is great! The honey boba was chewy and petite... everything I wanted. The employees were very nice and helpful with questions and the environment is so cute! There's plenty of seating and this would be a great place to meet up with a group. Not only do they have delicious boba tea... but they also have Che desserts, popcorn chicken and fish balls. I'm looking forward to trying those next time!

I was pleasantly surprised when I stepped into this cute spot. It was so bright and cute! So many wonderful places to take pictures. I always order taro root when I get boba tea. I ordered taro and it was cool. Nothing special. I also had the green cake and it was absolutely disgusting. The taste and texture was not it.

Glad I discovered this spot thanks to a Yelp event! It's close to my house but tucked away in a shopping center off the main road so I likely would not have seen it. I'm not generally a "let's get Boba" type of chick but my daughter likes it; therefore, I've been to a couple other places in town. I enjoyed this one the most. I tried the Spring Blossom (sparkling water tea with Raspberry lychee garnished with orange and mint) and it was amazing (once I stirred it...rookie mistake). The snack items are all tasty as well. We tried the sweet potato fries (two thumbs up), soy garlic popcorn chicken and the curry fish balls. The curry fish ball were something new to me and I'm glad to report I loved them. They reminded me of the texture and flavor of a large scallop and the orange curry sauce was very flavorful without being too spicy (if you're not into spice, you should be fine).

This place was adorable! I really enjoyed my experience here. So much different types of menu options. I got my first Chè here and it did not disappoint! They have all types of boba tea as well. My drink had the halo halo mix and the unique flavor of the ube and purple yam was just what I wanted! I definitely recommend this place to anyone who was a different type of dessert experience. Workers are very friendly and helped me make the right choice! Can't wait to come back and try some more flavors.

I've been waiting for this dessert place to open for a long time. I follow them on Instagram. I saw that they were having a soft opening this week and decided to try them. I tried the Che Halo Halo dessert and ordered the mango passionfruit smoothie for my friend. They were both very good and refreshing. The drinks tasted so fresh. I am not quite sure if they used fresh fruits or not but I couldn't tell the difference!! I will go definitely go again and try there other drinks. The interior is very elegant and charming.

I'm a big Boba fan and I personally didn't know this location even existed. I'm now happy that I do! Very clean location with a chill vibe and light music playing. The Boba drinks were what I'm accustomed to, I was highly pleased. You have to go see for yourselves!

AKoKo is a hidden gem! The atmosphere is inviting, the service is friendly, and the drinks and snacks alike are very tasty! I always try and order something I've never had before and am very impressed by the unique flavor profiles and combinations in their drinks. I definitely recommend coming here!

I cannot say for sure whether it was under new ownership at that time or not. That said, I remember enjoying my beverage, a half sweet mocha milk tea with some nice slightly chewy boba, and an order of their popcorn chicken with sweet chili sauce. The mocha was just right for me at half sweet, as I usually find most of these drinks overpowering in their sugar levels. The popcorn chicken had a crispy outside, tender inside. Just what you want. The space inside is an interesting mix of decor as others have pointed out, and really, that suits it. If you want to take photos for your socials you have a lot of choices. If you want a work area with more rigid seating and a table, they have it. If you want more comfortable lounge seating, they have some of that too. It can't hold a ton of people, but for what people look for in their boba and tea places, this seems to fit it. I'll admit, my boba travels aren't extensive! This isn't my absolute favorite place for a fruit or milk tea in Greensboro, but it's definitely the closest to where I live making it more likely for an impulse snack.

That said, I visited on Easter, so the church lot was full, but we were still able to find a spot to parallel park at the end of the street. They serve a decent variety of coffee and other drinks, but have a limited food/pastry menu. I got an iced lavender vanilla latte with oat milk, which is something I order at a lot of places. Sometimes, the lavender tastes so artificial it reminds me of eating soap -- I think certain brands of syrup taste better than others. That was not the case here. I don't know what brand they use, but it must be one of the better ones, because it tasted mild and delicious. Both lavender and vanilla came through. The espresso was smooth and not bitter. The ratios of everything were great as well -- not too much oat milk but not too little -- the perfect latte.
