Just because of one bad experience with Rachel Gusufson (sp?) I can't mark this less than a 5. My first experience was great and the owners are amazing. Heck a women left with a cut from a different stylist, that was off the hook. Just make sure you get someone very experienced that won't rush you, judge you, or dry cut to semi correct by putting a lot of pressure on her. read more

I just got back from my second facial from Audrena! I am so relaxed, my skin is smooth, soft, gorgeous and clean. The LED light was new for me, and felt so warm and lovely. I can't recommend it enough. Caitlin is also so amazing with lashes, she's gentle and gives great after care instructions. Both rooms that the girls work out of are adorable, clean, and mellow. She also did a great job for my two friend's hairstyles. Jess did my make-up and made me look like the star of the show. Jess can do it all - she also did two friend's hairstyles as well. Although the scheduling was somehow mixed up, i just got the greatest cut I've ever had in my life from Gabby. In fact, she wasn't even supposed to be cutting that day, but she felt bad for the mix up and took me in anyways. Thank God she did! Go to her. She's meticulous and it pays off ever so beautifully. Not Worth it. The lady I had did not know what she was doing, I asked for a hairstyle and every time I insisted that the curls needed to be a certain type she wouldn't even act as if she was trying. Ended up leaving with a lopsided bun. What as waste of $65!! read more

I received the worst haircut of my life today at this salon. I called for an appointment and they set me up with a brand new grad. Her name is Katie. I showed her 3 pictures of me with the haircut I wanted and explained it to her. She cut my hair into a very short Dorothy Hamill bob!! It's completely uneven. I look like a throwback to the 80's. The owner - who is very nice - tried to fix it but couldn't. She apologized up and down. The haircut is so bad that my husband couldn't even speak when he saw me. I was in a rush looking for a new hair stylist as the girl I usually go to at Tu Moda's was booked out. I had dyed red hair and wanted to go to a medium ashy brown and upon yelping, I stumbled upon this place. Called and luckily was able to get a consultation later the evening, Yay! Well, it all ended there.. Got to my consultation and met with Carrie and was immediately seated at her station. Talked to her a bit about my hair and showed a pic of the color I wanted.. I knew it was going to be more than just a "one step" process and that red was tough to get out and that I wasn't able to achieve my desired color in just that ONE appointment. I knew all that.. But Carrie reassured that I should dye my hair back to a darker brown and the next time I come in, I would be able to achieve the ash brown by putting in a lighter brown. Ok.. I trusted her. I was then in a rush so didn't have time to do the full blown color, wash, and blow dry and since I was soo sick of my washed out red hair, I asked to only color and wash. We then agreed so the color and blow dry should only take about an hour 25 min-ish. Well,fast forward.. everything felt so rushed and I didn't know why but then towards the end I realized it was because she wanted to add in the "blow dry" part because when you get your hair blow dried, it's another $25 on top of the bill. Color and wash would've been only $50 but adding the blow dry in brings it to $75. Completely unethical-- the way she applied the dye was pretty amateur, she kind of just slabbed it on versus Tu Moda where they use dye combs to split your hair in sections to make sure you get an even all-around color. And when it came time to wash out the color, the wash literally took 3 minutes so you can imagine how much dye was left in my hair and how "unclean" it was. My ears were still stained of dye when I got home (lol). And of course when she blow dried my hair, the bottom half of my head was still wet? Anyways,.. enough of the rant. All I know is that I had another stylist evaluated my hair and was shocked that she would even suggest dying my hair a brown color first because the second time around will NOT achieve my desired color. Also shows how unethical she is to make a quick buck.. instead of other salons where they actually truly care about the client's satisfaction and doing things right. THAT's how you get clienteles to keep coming back to your reputation. If the client asks for just a color and wash, you should respect that instead of trying to cram in a blow dry for an easy $25. Needless to say, I will not be returning and have learned my lesson. i will continue to go back to Tu Moda even if my girl is booked out, I'll wait! LOL. At least she's professional and truly cares about results. Anyways, at least my hair is not a gross red color anymore.. I'm cool with this dark brown color because it's close to my natural color (even though it's not what I wanted) but I just wanted to warn others. You may not be so lucky LOL. Now I'm going to wait a couple months til I re-dye my hair to that shay brown. read more

I was recently married, and I decided to get mine and the other girls' hair done here. Everyone at the salon pitched in, but my hair was done by Charlie. I was completely satisfied with all of the girls' hair. Everyone looked gorgeous. And, as the bride, I have to say that I was also completely satisfied with my hair. I told Charlie what I wanted, and he delivered. I absolutely loved my hair. The prices were completely reasonable as well. $65 for all of the up-dos, including mine. The salon was also a great place to have the large number of girls I had in my wedding party. In total, there were 12 of us there. The place fit us quite easily as it is very large. They had no problem with the entourage of girls hanging out in the place, either. They were very welcoming. I would highly recommend this salon for any big event. read more

Caitlin is seriously a lash QUEEN. I have been seeing her for a little over a year now and travel over an hour and a half to get my lashes done by her. Her space is so clean and extremely comfortable making the time fly by (I usually sneak in a lash nap while I lay there). I am ALWAYS receiving compliments on how natural and beautiful my lashes are. 126 Post Salon is the absolute best salon in central MA. Owner/stylists Meghan and Jess are both masters at what they do. Meghan is a miracle worker when it comes to hair. She stays up to date on the most gorgeous hair trends and is a balayage superstar. Jess is a creative genius and can transform the most plain hair into a masterpiece, and she does the most beautiful makeup. I honestly don't like sharing my experiences because I never want to NOT be able to get in with one of them! The Post is an amazing salon to go to for everything and anything. Everyone there is welcoming and genuine; wanting to make sure you leave with a smile on your face. I have very long hair and am picky with the people I let cut it. I have gone to Jessica for years now and she always gives me the best cut!! She listens to what I want and explains how it will look when I go home and do it myself. She also gives great hair care tips. I moved almost 2000 miles away for school and I like Jessica and trust her so much that I wait until I go home to have her cut my hair :) I also go to the Post to get my eyebrows waxed by Jen. She is super friendly and is another employee there that wants you to be happy when you leave. She has actually come in on her days off if I need my eyebrows waxed. Now where else can you get customer service like that?!? I can vouch not only myself buy also my mother and grandmother whom I have turned into regular customers at the post. Both get their hair cut by Jessica (and sometimes Megan) and are always pleased with the end results. I have no negative comments toward the salon or it's employees. She completely fixed my "do it yourself dye job" and managed to get me a real, natural looking blond that is healthy and easy to maintain. Never in my life have I been through a worst salon experience than the one I went through here. FIRST of all, I was scheduled to go in and have my hair done by Carrie, who was referred to me by the girl at the front desk. I was running 15 minutes late to my appointment and called ahead and was told that it was okay and I would still be able to make the appointment. Right as I pull into the salon the girl at the front desk calls me and tells me Carrie took another appointment and that someone else that rents a chair at the salon could take me. I was upset but desperate to get my hair done before I went out that night so I sucked it up and had a consultation with Ronak. I was trying to go for a blonde balayage, my hair is naturally very dark but the ends were already highlighted to a caramel color and I was just going for a lighter look. She put foils of bleach in my hair and put me under heat lamps (that look like they're used for warming food) for a while. My hair came out very blonde so i was happy about that but noticed ugly looking stripes in my hair where the blonde wasn't blended in like a balayage should be.. it looked awful! The only thing I was happy about was the blonde color, but as I saw ronak brushing my hair out I noticed clumps of blonde sticking in her brush, while I kept quiet to try and wait and see what the end result looked like I had a feeling that my hair was done for. A couple days later I wash my hair and it is SO MUSHY when it's wet!! It was so over processed I couldn't run my fingers through it at all and pieces of my hair were pulling and melting off while it was wet. Now I knew that she rented a chair from the salon but I didnt know that meant I shouldn't call the manager with my concerns. So, I called the salon and talked to the manager and she expressed that I need to talk to Ronak. I told her i don't want her to do my hair again or try to fix it (there is no fixing damaged hair) so all I could do was ask for a refund. After I texted Ronak she ensured me she would do everything she can to make me happy. (That means she's giving me my money back right?). Two hours later she calls me coming at me with a very disrespectful attitude telling me that because I went and called the manager that the manager went and told her employees what Ronak did and that I was causing drama for her in the salon! Not only that but she accused me of telling her manager she charged me more than she actually did. I was about to cry from how rude she was. HOW UNPROFESSIONAL. It's not my fault her manager/salon owner and employees talk crap about all their clients and other employees.. Ronak even told me how they were talking about how I've been late and cancelled appointments. HOW is that any of their business and how is it okay for her to call me at 8pm and tell me all of her salon drama. Aside from that, she offered me two times to go into the salon and I had ensured her I'm never going to get my hair done there again. I told her I was busy and that I would go get my money from her after she returns from her two week vacation. She has returned a week ago and just informed me she won't be refunding me. I texted her back with my concerns and she ignored me. Awesome. spare yourselves the DRAMA and melting hair, cause apparently it's always the clients fault. I now go see an amazing stylist who has been slowly cutting off my hair from this terrible mess ronak caused. read more

I have read many blogs before, but never thought I'd write one. After my experience at 126 Salon with Jess I felt it would be unfair not to!!!! I went into see Jess following a disastrous experience with a previous hairdresser. Jess was professional yet personable and made sure I got exactly what I wanted, but honestly after meeting with her I would have trusted her to make her own decisions. My hair looks amazing and I could not be happier with Jessica's work. I had a color with a partial foil and a cut and could not be happier with the results. I highly recommend Jess to anyone, she is talented and dedicated to making her clients happy! read more
