Walked in one day to fix a broken nail. Liked what they did so I came back in for a manicure. I've never been treated so rudely. The lady was screaming at me. She asked me the same question five times yelling at me because she didn't like my answer. I don't know how I made it through the whole thing. I wanted to ask what was wrong what I did to upset her or to deserve such a hostile attitude but I was truly scared she would cut me like on purpose. Maybe she was having a bad day but they just lost a good customer. Her violent manicure was pretty shitty too. I guess it's true you get what you pay for. Ring finger is in pain and oozing pus after my appointment last night:/ the tech who did my manicure was very kind but cut me in several places and was using tools with other peoples nail dust all over them to file and trim my open cuts that she gave me. Also she cured my nails with gel all over the skin she kept putting her long nails under my finger nails to get the gel off and it was so uncomfortable and unsanitary. I have been to hundreds of nail salons and have never been somewhere so unhygienic. I'm sorry to leave a negative review but I wish I saw something like this before going in. read more

I've been to this nail salon a few times. It's definitely a so-so place to get your nails done. I generally bring my own nail polish. This salon charges different prices for name brand polish. The quality is poor because they constantly add acetone to the polish when its drying. So i just bring my own. The prices are really reasonable. It's generally quick service but it can get filled fast. There has been times when the wait was 20+mins and i ended up not waiting. This isn't a place that's really good with designs. Your better off with a solid color or french mani. I recently visited since the pandemic began. I just wanted to get a pedicure. No one was in there. It was only two ladies sitting by the pedicure seats. As soon as i walked in, one of them immediately jumped up to service me. I used the bathroom as soon as i came in. It was really clean and also services as their storage. My pedicure was pretty quick. She did a pretty good job of making it comfortable. She trimmed, filed them, took care if the cuticles, etc. However, the execution wasn't the best. When painting my nails she was a little sloppy. She also didnt lotion my feet afterwards so my toe had nail polish and dryness on it right after a pedicure. It looked sloppy. I gave this mail salon sooo many chances to do better but today was the last straw. Have to speak on my first experience here, it was ok enough to go back, then when I went to get a fill I went through 3 nail techs before a girl named Mia did them. Although the base was amazing, the actual artwork was lacking. She tried to say it was because my nails were too short compared to the Pic I showed but I know it was just them lacking. I used to go to a nail salon in brooklyn where they could do ANY design no matter what, whether my nails were long or short and never made excuses. She ended up confusing the colors and design and was missing a color but I didn't wanna sit through more hours of it. I was already stressed from personal matters so I cried because I was just disappointed in the work. Then TODAY , was the last straw. I forget the technicians name but she had no patience with me. She was filing my nails with the machine so harshly and every time if flinch from pain she would get angry or hit my hand to move it a certain way! At one point I had to say out loud, are you mad at me or yourself???? I notice this place files and buffs nails entirely too much instead of caring for the natural nail! That is important to me. My nails were already weak, why continue up file them? I also got a pedicure which I will say was amazing by June. Very sweet lady and did an excellent job! Too bad I won't be returning to this salon. Some people there are very nice but I haven't had luck with others with customer service. I also do not like when I feel obligated to tip. This business recently underwent a revamping of sorts, along with another name change. Now it's called Hello Nails. Used to be a regular and decided to try them out under the alleged new management and boy do I regret doing so. The up charging wasn't the issue since that part was expected. What I did not expect was passive aggressive staff that rudely and openly bath mouthed our party in their native tongue while we innocently sat thru it all. At one point I had to pull out google translate and got the shock of my life with the translations. I had to request lotion repeatedly as one of the women was apparently rushing to have us out. When I asked to change colors as mine was ultimately too light she responded at length in a patronizing way and spoke to me like a child. Next to me, a lady kept complaining her nails were filed down incorrectly despite her multiple prompts to continue filing them down. I came to this nail studio yesterday afternoon because the was the highest rated in my area. They took in me and my friend without an appointment which was nice! My friend got a pedicure and had a great experience. I got a manicure and was wanting to receive a sip powder set with tips on an extension. There is a certain design I requested as well, I have included the reference photo. The last working on my nails told me the girl that adds on tips was not working. This is the first time I have gone to a salon where they didn't know how to add the Tips on. I told her I will just do a solid nail design then with glitter on top, she said they can't do glitter so I decided to do an accent finger. After doing one layer of dip she forgot the accent finger and dipped it in the red. She was unable to get al of it off so the color on my two hands does not match at all. She had been cutting pretty close to my cuticles and filing down the skin around my nails. I didn't realize until I left that several of my fingers were bleeding, I ended putting bandaids on two fingers. I am typically pretty flexible if a salon can't do an intricate design but I felt like what I had asked for was a pretty standard practice and design. read more

Just came in today to do my nails for my sister's wedding tomorrow, I'm going to be a bridesmaid! The service here was amazing! Kelly was my nail technician and she recommended I get this color since my sister's wedding bouquets are purple and this color will really stand out and she was right! Took this pic when I got home with faux flowers I had at home to see how they look like in pictures. I got the color gel which was $35, which is a great price since they last at least 3 weeks. I absolutely hate leaving a bad review but when you deserve one you get one. I've been coming here for years and it used to be fantastic. In the past 12 months it has gone completely down hill. The women who work here are rude and rush every job (apart from Bonnie who is talented and lovely). This is the second time in the past 3 months they have cut me when getting a manicure. I'm not sure what is going on but they are either just don't care anymore or they are exhausted. Either way it's what happens next that matters. At the end they kept rushing my service, charged me in full, and verbally demanded I tip them multiple times to make sure i knew it was expected regardless of their quality of service. I feel sorry for the few women who work there who take pride in their work and actually try to provide their clients a good experience. I am never going again after today's experience. read more

Dont waste your time or money here. Every time I look at my nails & toenails I get upset all over again. I stopped in this shop to get a gel pedicure & dip powder manicure with French design in preparation for a wedding I was traveling overseas to the next day. I just wanted a repeat of what was already on my nails (white toes + French manicure). They should have noted that they have limited capabilities before starting the job. Seems they are best just doing basic manicures for me. 1. My nails are very, very thick and the shape is terrible with no curve. I had almond/mountain peak shaped nails when I walked in. I walked out with what looks like thick blobs. 2. They don't know how to do nice French tips and have the nerve to charge 10 dollars extra for french!! I had to settle for a style I did not want and even that was poorly done...crooked lines of various sizes and I had to convince the tech to use the standard pink polish - she used pink powder & thought that was sufficient. 3. My toenails were super rushed and the sides neglected to get any paint. What's worse the gel polish has already chipped just 3 days later. 4. Forget any "perks" like lotion or hot towels on my hands. I shared my disappointment with the folks there and they apologized and gave 5 dollars off. However I'm still disappointed to be traveling and in a wedding with these terrible looking nails that cost 100 bucks. Never again. read more

I never leave reviews but here i am. Was the work good? Yeah it's decent, there's always better. I think, like a lot of salons in ny, they're a bit behind with what's "new" in many other places. Hygiene: i did see my nail tech pull the cuticle clippers out of a fresh sanitary bag but after using it on me i saw her wash it in the pedicure water and wipe it off, and then place it back in her personal cup of tools. Idk if there was a purpose but that's just my observation. I was there for 3 hours which was a bit excessive for a gel manicure and pedicure. I added calus removal to my pedicure which is another 10 dollars, and my feet feel 5x more rough walking out than they did walking in and i don't understand why. I tried explaining it to the women and they didn't seem to understand or care to so i 100% DO NOT recommend adding that upgrade. And last but definitely not least, I'm EXTREMELY big on customer service. Smiles, asking how you are, etc. the staff is not welcoming at all, not only with me but many other clients that were in and out while i was there i would observe. The language barrier at this location is also very big. But back to customer service, at the end of my service i tipped both my manicurist and pedicurists 5 dollars as honestly i felt like for how my pedicure went that that was even generous. I used to use this salon fairly often. It's convenient location wise and the pricing was decent. It was also one of the only places that carried shellac for a while. Unfortunately, their customer service has always been pretty mediocre at best, if not subpar. But only towards certain clientele, if you catch my drift. I've observed them treat people differently and experienced it first hand. You're better off going to one of the other salons in the area. At least they treat all customers like they exist, which is probably why they tend to be more crowded. read more

It's Sunday and I'm practicing a little self care. Soo happy that my favorite neighborhood place is open. What's reassuring is that they're taking all the necessary precautions. The bottom of my shoes were sprayed before I walked in, my temperature was taken and before "picking a color" I was told to use hand sanitizer. The manicure stations have glass paneling and all the staff appear to be maintaining protocols around cleanliness. I feel...relieved and decided to share because I was a bit hesitant to come in.
