the environment of this location is nice and clean and the employees are nice. i wasn't very pleased with my manicure/acrylics. they left my cuticles look very choppy and peeling all around my nail. the polish on my acrylic was applied so thick and streaky. my nails actually looked lopsided. as well as that bubbles formed and popped leaving weird "holes." my nails lasted for over a week and i could've kept them on for longer which was a plus. it annoyed me the nail techs didn't give any ideas how to remove the acrylics and it doesn't seem like 13 nails offers to remove them :(. it wasn't even extremely cheap. i might come back for certain services but definitely not for acrylics. read more

First I will say Tiffany did a really nice job on my nails. My only issue was I did not feel like it was a spa experience. I felt rushed, you know kinda like get it done and out off here. The fine finishes I am use to were not done. Glue and acrylic chunks still under nails. For an inexpensive set of nails well worth it as long as you know what your waking into. The girls were all very friendly and now that I know what to expect, I will return. If I want a spa day I will just go else where. Quick nail service, this is your place. read more

Worst manicure and service I have ever had. My friend and I made an appointment for gel manicures and were left waiting for 40 minutes past our scheduled time. We both had a schedule to stick to and our nail technicians rushed through our appointments and didn't even have time for gel polish. They didn't get my previous polish all the way off, my nails were jagged, and the clear polish they put on was left wrinkled and dirty looking. I called the next day to ask for a redo since they did not give the service they should have, and the owner said she couldn't redo my nails unless I paid for another manicure. She also denied them rushing through our appointment and basically told me I was wrong. Do not go here. read more

Was super excited to try this nail salon out. I haven't been to any locally & found some great reviews online for 13 Nails. So I headed out to treat myself to a Saturday morning pedi. Even contemplating a morning mimosa, as I had taken transit there. The salon is accessible by transit & is in a nice location in Fairhaven. Easy to find if you're not familiar with the area. I was 20 mins or so early for my scheduled appt time, but as no pedicures were being done they took me in right away. I choose a simple pedicure service as I wasn't concerned about a leg massage etc. I was however VERY specific that I wanted extra attention paid to my feet bottoms, I hadn't been to see a professional in a long time! The girl taking care of me assured me that would be included. So she set off to work on my feet, making a bit of small talk. Which I'm fine with, I'm there to relax not make friends. No mention of a beverage or option of it was offered to me. So I figured I would just forget that morning treat. As soon as she began scrubbing my feet she was done. I was surprised it was so quick but figured that she was going to do more. When I questioned her as to why very minimal scrubbing was done(as I wanted extra attention to my soles) she told me my feet didnt need it. They definetly needed it!! The rest of the pedicure was a standard clip, file, paint, top coat situation. I left there only to go buy a foot file myself & go home to finish taking care of my pedicure. I was disappointed that this Sat. morning treat for myself didn't really live up to more than a pedicure I could have done at home, like I had already been doing. Great atmosphere to have your nails done, but they charge 5 dollars more for men and when asked why they offered no reason other than that's the way it is. There is no mention of it anywhere on their website, nor do they mention it on their in spa menu. I found this rather odd and upsetting. read more

2 years ago I'd have given this place 5 stars, but it's changed. she's getting 2 stars because my niece's nails ( a regular manicure ) looked nice. Now I've not gone back in a year, but since the owner blocked me on facebook and never resolved our issue...I suppose I need to take to yelp... and yes...I'm still pretty upset about it a year later. here is the message I sent her last december: Hey there Tiffany, I had been in to see you last Saturday (the 17th) with my niece. I usually love coming in to see y'all when I have the chance or am in town, but this last time I unfortunately have to say I'm not super happy with my nails. When I left the looked great, but if you remember my left middle nail broke before I even left the shop. You fixed it quickly (which was great) but it ended up being longer than the rest of the acrylics you put on. ( didn't worry about it though, that wasn't a big deal to me. Well...the next day my right thumb nail broke off ( I lightly bumped my hip and pop, there it went). I admit, I went somewhere else to have it fixed. Well...later that evening my left index nail broke...I picked up a shirt. As this week has gone by I've had 6 nails break without doing anything that should damage them. I feel they just ended up being rushed and made to thin. ( I understand a nail or 2 needing repair, but this is kind of crazy ). I wasn't going to say anything and just brush it off as a fluke, but I'm really unhappy with them. I'm now in California again so I don't know if there is anything we can do to rectify the situation, but I thought I should at least let you know. Now The owner Never responded, and when I was in the shop with her fixing that first broken nail...she was very irritated about it. Like I said, instead of rectifying the situation ( or even responding ) she just chose to block me altogether. Mature. She's gone from loving the business, to rushing and loving the money. Came in for a pedicure with my girlfriend and we were really impressed! We were greeted immediately and led to our spa chairs. Thao and Bee introduced themselves and asked us if we wanted something to drink. We ordered some Chardonnay which was good but after seeing the sangria white or red I would try that next time. We had such a good time chatting with our pedicurists and other patrons. The ambience was lovely as well as the work being performed. The bar tender who also seemed to be in charge of the place was so gracious and friendly also. She was joking and having a good time. I can't wait to return. I had acrylics done. They pay way too much for what you wanted. They didn't give me or a friend the shape that we wanted. She really damaged my cuticles, she made them bleed. They have a decent environment and the people are nice. They have a wide variety of colors. They said walk ins were welcome even though we had to set up an appointment when we walked in.... My nails lasted about 2 weeks before cracking and nail polish came off. It's $10 to get nails removed, +$10 for the shape you want, $30 for plain acrylics. +$10 for gel. read more

The decor in this place is beautiful and glamorous and cozy, they offer beverages (not to me!!) both alcoholic and not. I got a mani pedi and the pedicure was great, lots of massage, very fast and effective movements. I'm ticklish so this is always appreciated. The NAILS. Oh god. The man who did my shellack messed up my nails five or six times and had to keep wiping off and reapplying. He kept smudging the nails he had just done and getting polish on my skin. I was in such an uncomfortable position in the pedicure chair and sat there with the UV machine on my lap for like 30 minutes after my pedi was done. My arms started to shake and burn like I was working out because I had to hold the damn thing up. The whole time he was doing my nails he was talking about how hard it was because I like my nails so short and I picked a hard color so he was having a hard time, I get it. Payment took 20 minutes because she didn't know how to use my visa gift card and ended up telling me that she thinks I owe her TRIPLE what I paid and will email me about it when she figures it out. This place was a bad experience and I'm super upset about it because the people were so nice and it was so beautiful when I initially walked in. read more

The pros: the locations is great, convenient to everything on Fairhaven. The decor is really elegant, very modern and clean. The bar is cute and has lots of choices. The cons: My nails didn't look that great when they were done and the polish didn't wear well at all. A very unpleasant experience here, and a shellac that started to chip the very next day .The salon had an unclean feel and the heated nail dryers are filthy. My daughter and I booked appointments together and both have the opinion it was the worst nail experience we have had. My technician was brusk, unfriendly, rude, and so rough it was painful. He clipped my nails with a nail clipper, but didn't file before starting the polish. I had to ask him to actually file off the points from the clipper. My daughter's tech was flighty and scattered, starting parts of the manicure then running off repeatedly. She also had pain when cuticles and hangnails were tugged off instead of clipped. We get regular manicures so we didn't require a lot of work-just mainly wanted to spend some quality girl time together, but this salon definitely did not add to our day. read more

The service was AWFUL! I made an appointment for myself and two friends (we were not sure whether we wanted pedicures or manicures, but the woman on the phone assured me they could do either and we could decide when we got there). Once we got their we decided on shellac manicures and all of the women working acted like it was a huge inconvenience to them that we would like to get our nails done. We had to wait a full hour past our scheduled appointment to even be seated in a chair. And once we finally were, they rushed through doing our nails, mine were not even filed until after she did the shellac treatment. Last night, my co-workers and I did a ladies night out at 13 Nails & Spa. I had made an appointment for 8 pedicures at 5:00 pm. Because they close at 6:00 pm, I was worried we would feel rushed. That was not the case at all. We had a wonderful, relaxing night. Not only did we all get our pedicures, 5 of the 8 of us ended up getting manicures too. This is by far the worst pedicure I have ever gotten. The salon is cute, clean, but I will never go there again! My toes have polish all over them, the nails were cut un even and slanted, she forgot to scrub my right foot until I said something, and my feet only soaked for maybe 3 minutes before she drained the water!!! Best place to get nails done! They are always thin and smooth. And stay on for over two weeks. The place is crazy busy so you can't come in quick on your break always but you'll always get seen and a good job done. I love how they always use a new tool set every time they give a pedicure. The service is great, the staff is friendly and you can get a glass of champagne while you wait....what more could you want. I really wanted to like this place.... The first time I came in I got gel done and they did and ok job. I definitely felt super rushed though. The second time I came in to get another gel and it was the worst experience I have ever had. It was obviously a busy day, after waiting for 20 minutes to be seen ( which wasn't a huge deal to me) the lady was super annoyed at the fact that i wanted 2 different colors, like it was the end of the world. Then when she started my pedicure the tool she started using on my nail beds had the person before me dead skin all crusted on it!!!!! I was so mortified!!!!! When I mentioned it to her all she did was rinse it under water.... GROSS!!!!! They also kept mentioning how there was" a big group coming in 15 minutes" and they were just rushing to get everyone out. I've been here three times, the first two experiences were stellar pedicures and I had nothing negative to say. The last time I went I got a pedicure and manicure, I felt like my pedicure was rushed, but it could be that it was the end of the day and they were trying to move along to my manicure. Something I loved about my first two pedicures was how fantastic the foot and leg massages were, where the last time I was in I didn't feel that way. The price point is great here, the staff friendly and attentive, and it's a nice clean salon in a great location. Worst pedicure I ever got. Old polish showed thru new they never filed my nails never put lotion on legs and I paid for it didn't cut my mom's nails and scrubbed middle part of foot not heels where all dry and gross. Unfriendly and kind of rude. One of employees sat slouched in a chair by door loudly smacking gum while we got our pedicures and when they were done they just walked off never said a word.
