I spotted this place while recently lunching with a friend. So we put it on the radar and finally give it a shot today. I must say: not bad! I was a little put off by the seafood smell when I entered. But I suppose that is to be expected. These folks have a small but still diverse offering of a variety of Osteichthyes and Decapoda ready for your culinary pleasure. Forgive me. Sometimes I like to sling around the $2 words. Fish and crabs and lobster and fish and shrimp and fries are on the menu. And fish. Everything from catfish to tilapia. Whiting to salmon. And also the occasional mollusk. You can get your seafood raw and take it home to cook yourself. Or these folks will cook your food for you and you can take it out. Fair warning: there is only one four-top table in the building. This is primarily a take-out business, and they seem to be doing a lot of take out business. I had a 10pc fried shrimp meal. This shrimp was lightly fried and spiced (at my request) with some Old Bay. They do have other seasonings to use. I just like Old Bay on my shrimp. My friend had a shrimp & fish combo. She wasn't too thrilled with the fries. Neither of us were too thrilled with the slaw. But the rest of our actual seafood was good. Really good. (Cocktail sauce and tartar and ketchup on request.) Food is cooked to order, so don't be in a hurry. Unless you're taking your raw fish home, in which case, you'll be out the door lickety-split. I won't hesitate to go back if I have a seafood craving. First time eating here, the restaurant is very small, hardly any seating area available. I saw a roach at the register. however the fried whiting is very good. I've seen better. Compared to your farmers markets, it's okay. I picked up some fresh fish from here and I've had some fried here. Both experiences were meh. It's off in a small parking lot that has a barbershop, dog grooming, etc within the same vicinity. Parking is not an issue. The price point was okay and wasn't anything crazy. Service was good. Small fish market located in a strip mall. I wasn't impressed with the variety of fresh fish. I looked on the cooked menu and I saw trout; I was told the trout was frozen. I skipped the trout. There what's the review that explain how to pick fresh fish and it stated if the eyes looked dull then you know the fish isn't fresh; well none of the fish was fresh then. I got the sea bass 5.99 LB . They were small. After reading the reviews I asked for the fish not to be fried hard. But, the fish were fried hard. I really didn't get any meat. Generally with Bass you get white thick flaky meat. Not this time not only was it fried hard 6, but the meat wasn't white and fresh looking. I wouldn't go back. This is me neighborhood fresh fish market. It's very small and they only have one table for customers to generally set at and wait for their order or if it's a nice day outside theirs a wooden bench to set on in front of business while you wait for your order. It is a fresh seafood place so as soon as you open the door the seafood smell will hit you bit ira not abnormal and the place is very clean. The prices are reasonable and they cook your meal to order or you can call in ahead. There's a wide variety of fish , shrimp, crawfish,crabs and lobsters to choose from plus the corn and broccoli side orders are the best. I rarely get the fries but they are cooked crisp just not very tasty and the cold slaw is average at best. You get your chose of seasoning which is a plus and the food when cooked is normally very tasty or you can get it raw to take out and cook yourself. read more

After tirelessly searching for something to eat we stumbled across this fish market in hopes of getting some reasonably priced seafood. The prices were lower than I normally pay but def at a major cost. The crawfish was disgusting and water logged. It was made with canned jalapeños and onions which left me confused and dissatisfied. This is good for a quick seafood meal if you really want some fried fish. Not high quality fish but no flies or overtly fishy smell either. I know that's not saying a lot. If you're like me and very conscious of where your food is sourced, is it local, wild caught, sustainable, etc....these are questions you might ask yourself while you're eating a piping hot and surprisingly delicious piece of fish. Unfortunately these are questions you may never get the answer to and you might not want to know. Just eat the fish for today. You shouldn't eat fried food too often anyway. I was turned off by the tanks at the bottom of the fish display housing some sad looking fish in very dirty water. I'm assuming those are tilapia and that's why I don't eat tilapia or any farm raised fish. If the fish actually comes from where they say it comes from, then you're good. Idk though. But the fish tastes bomb after being fried and sprinkled with seasonings if your choosing. This is definitely a fast food take out spot, not much of a sit in spot.
