TINA ISSITT is amazing!! I was really nervous about having someone weave my hair due to having a lot of red base in my hair and I didn't want any brass. I found Tina on Yelp, and was impressed with her reviews on being a great colorist so I thought I'd give her a try. Well that was years ago and I will never go to anyone else. Not only does she hit your color right on, she takes her time to make sure she not only gets that beautiful color but does it without damaging your hair. This is a beautiful salon with a friendly staff. I went in for a Brazilian Blowout last month. Terri was my stylist, she was professional, informative, and very sweet. She did an amazing job! I had thick, frizzy (when not flat ironed), dry hair when I walked in. After about 3 hours for the whole process including cut, my hair is soft, manageable and frizz free. It looks and feels so healthy! The best part is that it takes me a quarter of the time to dry my hair at home now. I could not be happier with the results. read more

I have tried several salons but couldn't find someone to help me with my blonde highlights...my hair which is naturally brown would turn gold / orange and I hated it!! I have been going to Jill Toma for cuts and Brazilian blowouts since I moved to Ventura County in 2014. She is the absolute best! She has done my color too and it turned out great. She really listens and pays attention to changes in my hair. She also does my daughter's cuts and it really says something when a 5 yo loves her hair dresser. Wow, they must not like children... I made 2 calls to this place to try to set up an appointment and the phone rang and rang. I thought they might be closed since it is Monday, but since I was in the area I stopped in. The door said, "walk-ins welcome." I had brought my 4 year old daughter in to get her first haircut at a salon. When we got in there everyone was "too busy" to do a haircut. I asked if we could book something later. I was getting deer in headlights looks from all of the "stylists," no one seemed to want to answer. The stylist in the front finally asked if anyone had time to do a kids haircut that day. One said no, the other continued to ignore me, and the one closest to the front didn't want to actually try to help us, so we left. So much for all of the great reviews on here. Not answering phones, rudeness, and reluctance to accommodate children is not a great way to earn a customer. read more

Amazing! Beautiful space and you can't beat the service and price! Julia does the best color in the Conjeo Valley hands down! I get my cut, color, highlights and Brazilian Blowout from her and I have never walked away unhappy. The Brazilian Blowout made a HUGE difference - I don' t know how I ever lived without it! It cut my blowdrying time by more than half - I have long, thick, frizzy hair and it would take forever to get it straight. I haven't used my flat iron in months! Amy is one of the best stylists around - hands down. I've been getting my hair cut by her for close to four years now, and I'm so glad I found her! The detail and precision of her cuts are phenomenal and I always walk away knowing I look my best. She always has a smile on her face and I look forward to each visit. I went into the salon, Lora was willing to (fit me in) she damaged my hair, made it red when I wanted to go blonde and I asked for a refund and she said tough luck go to your bank. I did what you asked when I walk in I asked her what to do and she said she would do it great, she did a bleach wash but not only that I had to pay a great hairstylist 300 to do a color correction plus the money she wouldn't give back! Don't go to this salon or at least Lora! She's a terrible hairdresser and even worse person in general! I would give them negative stars if I could! read more

I had a friend do my hair for years but when I got married a year ago I wanted something different and more professional and my wife has been going here for a while and noticed Kris cutting a guys hair and she said that he looks like he really takes his time making sure its perfect so I went about 2 months before my wedding to get a haircut and since then haven't gone anywhere else. I lucked out when I found Tina Issitt at 16 Ten Salon. I actually bid on a haircut from a silent auction and was pleasantly surprised. I first had Tina just do a cut. Her cut was the best precision cut I have ever had. We discussed color and I later made an appointment for color. She took me from a flat solid blonde to a subtle strawberry blonde with lighter accents. I would encourage anyone who is unhappy with their current Stylist to try Tina.
