Aloha to all who take the time to read these reviews, as sometimes, you need to hear what other residents have to say based on their experience. My name is Callahan Welsh, and I am a Marine Combat Veteran and Stand-Up Comedian from Maui. So you can decide if my review is credible or not. I moved into 1600 Vine St. apartment complex October, 2023, and have loved it ever since. There are pros and cons to everything, but based on my experience here, and for the price, I would encourage good people to check this place out. CONS: Some other CONS are, we recently had a change over in property management, and majority of the new team, sadly didn't know what they were doing, as the word is that, they were not given a proper turn-over. There is always three sides to every story, "his side, her side, and the truth" ...and sadly, the owners of the building, failed both Legacy and Sentral management employee's, as I took the time to investigate. Now, since the new management team, Sentral, took over, it has been a bit of a nightmare...but I think that comes with any change. At first, I was highly disappointed in the choices the management team displayed, but after getting upset, I realized, a lot of changes came from higher ownership, than what the current Sentral Team was able to deal with. Since then, enough residents have complained about certain individuals, such as erica, dakota and noah; and have since been fired, but Amiee, Vedat, Ivan, and the new leasing agent Ashley have been working with all the residents, as far as addressing their concerns of new ideas living at this place. Communication could be better from Ivan and Vedat, but hopefully, we can work on that, as I still love living here, and would rather have a heart-to-heart talk with them, rather than have a negative attitude with them and living in anxiety at this apartment complex. I feel Richard, the lifestyle enthusiast is doing his best to bring fun times at a luxurious apartment place like this. Vedat and Ivan are always open to listening to their residents, as I have had my share of getting upset and having an unpleasant tones with them, but realized, that isn't the best way to go, and I am thankful they have the patience to deal with residents that get heated at new changes. This includes Amiee, who for a while, has been the only leasing agent that has been bombarded with rudeness as she can only do so much within her line of work....which really is just a leasing agent, and not really her job to assist with residential complaints. She can assist with concerns, but a lot of residents forget, there are designated billets that people work in, and Amiee is not a complaint department to take care of most issues. When having a heart-to-heart with her, she has been very kind and open-minded to my concerns, which made me have a change of heart with the rest of the new management. I come to realize certain things, that were not part of the new managements choices of making new changes, but they had to continue the new changes because it came from the greedy building owners. But hey, times have to change I guess, and hopefully for the better. So when it comes to leasing, Ashley and Amiee are the ladies to go to, if you need a place to look at, as that is my personal recommendation, based on these two helping me, and Amiee recently helping me in a cool opportunity to get me my new apartment. (Gratitude Amiee) When it comes to residential concerns, the front desk or "concierge" is willing to deal with...and is assigned to take the constructive criticism of the living here. When it comes to maintenance, I feel we have a solid team. Tio Tito and his team are very kind and address all concerns in a timely manner. Some employees maybe need to learn a few new skills, but that comes with every job, that someone maybe new at. PROS: The pricing of this place, when you think about it, you are paying for: - Location, location, location, which we are surrounded by a bunch of cool places that are within walking distance. - Three gyms and personal training(We just got a new FREE personal Trainer, Coach Lexi, and she is added value.) As you can see from pictures, this place has all you need, so when paying for an apt, this is an all-inclusive apartment complex and I personally recommend it, but you have to decide whether or not, my review is worth the credibility. It honestly feels like living at the Four Seasons here. Ivan and the leasing team is amazing, and after about a month of living here, we've been so impressed with the property upkeep,everything is incredibly clean and well maintained. Any maintenance requests are handled quickly, easily, and efficiently, which makes a big difference. A lot of apartment communities promise great amenities but fall short, but this place truly delivers it's a 10/10. I can't recommend living here enough. I also love having Trader Joe's within walking distance, it's so convenient and makes grocery runs effortless. read more

Living here has honestly been such a great experience so far. Ivan has been super helpful throughout the whole process--always quick to respond and just really easy to work with. You can tell he actually cares and isn't just trying to rush you through everything. The community itself is really nice and has a great vibe. Everything feels well put together, and it's been a smooth transition settling in. The team overall has been friendly and welcoming, which made a big difference. My fiancé and I have been living here for about 2 years now and it's been the best experience for us!! Richard from the events team always stops to chat and plans the best events, truly helping everyone love where they live!! And Tito and Ronaldo from the maintenance team have fixed countless things in our apartment since we moved in, and even keeps our dog entertained while he's at it! Tony, Amy and Vedat from leasing are always friendly and positive and go the extra mile to make sure we are taken care of and have the best leasing experience. As you'll read, 1600 switched management companies in June of 2025 and since the day they (Sentral) took over (I wish I was being dramatic - it really started the DAY they took over), this building and my experience as a resident has dropped well below a livable standard. For context, when Legacy managed the building, I recruited so many people to live here. I LOVED it here. The staff knew everyone by name, Facilities were spotless, and the vibe was incredibly neighborly. But in a matter of months, Sentral turned my home into a hell. Sentral, at least at this location, is also now making it a habit to steal from their residents. They have put miscellaneous charges on all our rent invoices since they took over, hoping we wouldn't notice. When we bring it up, it is a whole problem for them to remove them. This practice is unbelievably illegal and I can't believe they're getting away with this. Please head this warning. They flooded my apartment due to poor pipe management, then refused to do mold maintenance until after the 3rd time we requested it. They offered no apologies or alternative living conditions while repairs were made (making us live in a loud construction zone for 3 weeks). They removed all public trashcans & a significant amount of the public furniture so they wouldn't have to maintain it. They cut cleaning staff and the facilities around the building are now broken, dirty, or ignored. They require you to have renters insurance to lease an apartment (standard), but then charge you $40 a month for insurance even after you provide proof of insurance. They will refund you, but not after a tumultuous back and forth with the leasing agents. They essentially steal $40 from you every month and make it your problem to get it back. AND on top of all of this, they email almost monthly with threats of fines for not following community guidelines. Which - is insane, because the money from any supposed fines isn't even going towards upkeep of the property. It's almost laughable how insufferable this experience is. A decent building in DESPERATE need of competent staffing!! Staff tends to casually (and continuously) dodge responsibility of basic safety and upkeep. Fire safety concerns are given the run around, as any issue addressed- the responsibility is brushed off and pointed elsewhere providing absolutely zero assistance or solution. This place would be much better with staff capable to handle these simple yet serious concerns effecting the safety of all who reside here. *Please notice the bias of the hidden reviews as opposed to the ones displayed* read more
