All the bad reviews are from people that are way too picky, and feel as if they are better than everyone else. This place is fantastic. I only get pedicures for the callus removing aspect, and they do an amazing job everytime. The lavender and tangerine soaks are top tier! First time stopping by on a Friday night, they took me in before closing. Vivi did my nails. Simple gel manicure, she was patient with me being indecisive to choosing a nail color. Hopefully this gel manicure lasts a long time. It was like $36 total. read more

The reviews regarding poor customer service track. Had a 3:45 pm appointment. Arrived and was seated at a chair. Thirty minutes later I was still sitting there. No tended to me, no one acknowledged me, no one updated me. I've gotten manicures here in the past and the end product is a solid 2/5 but they are convenient. This was my first time at 163 Nail Salon, and I had high hopes, but I will never be coming back. I had an appointment at 12:30 and didn't get seated until 1:30. During that time, a walk-in was taken before me, as well as another woman who had a 1:00 appointment, which made no sense and was extremely frustrating. I was left soaking in remover for far too long, and my hands were burning for the entire appointment. When I was finally seen, the technician seemed rushed and not very friendly. Overall, the experience was unorganized, uncomfortable, and extremely disappointing. read more

I'm writing this review with deep disappointment. My mother is disabled and uses a wheelchair, and she visited this salon with her aide--someone who has brought her here a few times before. My mom has paralysis in her left hand, but she still enjoys the dignity and normalcy of getting her nails done. When they arrived, despite the language barrier, it was very clear that the staff were arguing about who would help her, and no one wanted to assist. This made her feel unwelcome and humiliated. Eventually, someone (perhaps at the instruction of the owner) reluctantly started her nails, but only did the hand that is not paralyzed--and then told her that was it. There was no attempt to finish the other hand, accommodate her condition, or treat her with the respect every customer deserves. My mother and her aide were left hurt and embarrassed and had to walk out without receiving proper service. This experience was upsetting, especially for someone already dealing with physical limitations. I hope this review encourages the salon to treat all clients with kindness and care--regardless of ability. read more

My review is for the spa pedicure lavender option. This was my first time here and I definitely will return. There are many pros here. The space is clean, inviting and well designed. The vibe is chill mode. The staff are friendly. Pedicure experience. Tina did my pedicure. I appreciated her gentle touch and she didn't rush. The service is not the same as when they 1st opened. Everything is rushed. I think they have become too comfortable. The pedicures are not good. The attitude and entitlement about tips is bothersome. If it's great service I give more but most times I give $5 each person. I see eyes rolling and attitude along with the decline in service. Tips are voluntary and based on quality service! I'm going to give them one more try before I take my business elsewhere read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I got my nails done and within one week three nails cracked and I had to return on two separate occasions for my nails to be fixed. & when I returned for it to be fixed, they charged me (although it was due to their poor quality as to why my nails broke so quickly). Also it was not a welcoming environment. They were obviously talking about me in their language and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. They were nicer to their white clientele. If you're a person of color, particularly black I recommend you stay away from this place as they are RACIST & provide poor quality/ service. I will not be returning and don't invite others to either. Tiffany & Ivy treated me very poorly and I am named dropping them to warn others. read more
