Stay Away! I booked an appointment 3 weeks prior because I was going away on vacation. My appointment was with Simon (the owner) for 5:30 PM Mind you, I have been here before with a similar experience, but I tried ONE more time after explaining the last visit "I cannot be here for over 3 hours" My pedicure was quick, not the best, but not the worst. As I sat there soaking off acrylic for one hour, I asked Simon multiple times "when are we going to start" His answer was always a "few minutes" Now it is after 7:00 PM, he has not even touched my nails and my blood pressure was on the rise. I ask again and again, and the same reply.. "few more minutes" I ended up walking out of there at 7:30 PM (2 hours and he did NOTHING) As an owner, it's horrible that you don't value someone's time. Horrible customer service. Went to get a uv gel fill in and a pedi. Filed the color off first, then Pedi. After drying my feet I waited an hour to get my nails done wasn't complaining bc I walked in so I sat there and waited patiently. First simon was going to do my nails, but he had taken another customer, fine. So Amy did them, it was close to closing and she was rushing I said nothing about it let her do her thing in its entirety 4pm-7:30pm evening shift I did like I work there. Get home notice she didn't file the sides good on a few and it was rough along the edges I filed and buffed it out at home. After spending $80, Next day the gel starts coming off a nail that I didn't even touch, I go back and tell simon what happened he barely looked and said ok. I waited 20mins Amy had just finished w her customer so I asked if she could fix my nail real quick and he said no I had to wait an hour and better I just come back tomorrow. Umm why tf would you not say that from the beginning. Talking about they busy as if I'm not who wants to sit in a nail salon 2 days in a row. Why would someone coming in with an issue that just got their nails done a day ago have to wait an hour bc there are appointments. Fix my nail that your salon messed up! HORRIBLE!!!!! In all my years of getting my nails done, this is the WORST nail salon that I have ever been to. I got a pedicure which was done on under 10 minutes. The lady did not clean under my nails, she did not scrub my heels properly. When I asked to scrub my heels and went off in her language. I asked for the pumice and sat there and scrubbed my own feet. When I was done, she did not even lotion my feet. She couldn't even apply the polish properly. My girlfriend got a pedicure as well from another lady while I was getting mine. She was no better. Love this nail salon! It's my go to salon. I usually call ahead of time to check if they're busy or make an appointment so that I'm not waiting around if they are busy. The staff and owner are very friendly and attend to you constantly from the second you walk in to when you leave. Normally I get gel nails and they have many colors to choose from. The prices are extremely affordable and they don't charge as much as the surrounding nail salons. I've also brought in pictures of designs and was very happy with the results. This is by far the best nail salon around! I have been going here for over 10 years and Simon and Joann are the absolute best at what they do (see my photo above, it's the red, pink and white nails!) I have gotten everything done here but I've been getting the permanent colored acrylic done for the past few years! It lasts about six weeks and there is never any chipping because there is no paint involved....any design you can think of they can do! I haven't seen any other nail salons do this I'm thinking because it is very time consuming and requires a lot of skill! I moved out of valley stream about six months ago and I still make the trip here because no one is anywhere near as good! I would highly recommend visiting Simon and Joann at jenny nails! I went to this salon for years. Joanne and Simon did a great job. The wait time could be long but I dealt with it. The problem was that they began to get dirty. I was getting a pedicure one day and I noticed the tray they had the instruments in was rusty, It was so bad you could wipe it off with a napkin. Mom and I have been coming here for years! I called ahead for a manicure and pedicure on a friday evening anticipating that it is busy today. I check in with Simon and he tells me to have a seat. While im waiting a group of 8 women come in together stating that they called ahead. Because they are so many two of them sit in the pedicure chairs without being told to do so! When one of the manicurist becomes available she goes to one of the women in the chair. I tell Simon and he apologizes stating that i will be next. Then the next available manicurist doesnt call me but proceeds to start on the second woman sitting in the pedicure chair. And Simon sees this. I will be taking my buisness elsewhere. Guys be aware! I did my nails on March 7th at Jenny Nails in Valley stream . I got there around 4 pm I specifically told the old man that I needed a filling with a French manicure design. I paid then I went home that same day I got home didn't pay much attention to my nails, my nails turned yellow, I called that Tuesday they were closed. I went back that Wednesday on March 9th, I told the guy that the color changed if he could fix my nails and change the colour he was very rude and started screaming and ask me to pay $20.00 to change the colour. I agreed to have the color changed because I have a trip that week and I didn't have much time to run around. Then as I sat down he wanted to charge me another $10.00 for the French when in fact his colours are trash. so I asked him how long will it take, he said to me one hour or more because he said he is slow man. This place is trashy and the owner of this place has no respect for his customers. Please stay away from this place. I am mad because I ended up spending so much money on my nails to find someone to fix and change the polish. read more

I'm very surprised this place dosent have more reviews with the amount of people that go here! I absolutely love love love it here. I live in queens so this is about a 20 min drive for me which is sometimes out of the way but I refuse to go to any other salon than here! Simon and Joanne are excellent at what they do. I've never seen someone who takes such care and precision in doing nails. Simon takes his time no matter how busy it is and I'm always completly happy with the outcome. TERRIBLE MANI PEDI. I came here two days ago because I go to a gym near by. The service was cool, because they were nice - well the lady with the short hair who happened to be about the only person who spoke English but she was very nice about everything. The lady who actually DID my nail though was terrible. I'm not talking about her attitude but just the way she did my nails. Everything was super careless and rushed, during my pedicure she didn't even take the time to scrub the bottom of my feet or massage it. Of course massages aren't supposed to be lengthy when you're getting just a basic pedicure, but compared to the women receiving basic pedicures around me .. My pedicure was definitely the worst. After that, during my manicure she didn't even take the time to remove the cuticles! I actually had to tell her to do so, to which she proceeded to laugh and quickly do them. Not even taking the time to remove them all. It was so bad, my nail polish started chipping the next day. I'm honestly so disappointed because I feel like she was rushing with me because another customer was waiting for her to do his spa pedicure. Spa pedicures are way more expensive so maybe that is why she rushed with me and quickly went to him, but it was super unprofessional. If I was not in a good mood, I would've definitely complained or made a big deal. I seriously will not be back, you just don't treat customers like that. I understand that if prices are cheap, most likely the results will match, but as a business, the service they provide should be awesome nonetheless. I've been coming here for the past year or so, and they have gotten exponentially worse. Most recently, they've raised their prices and worsened service. I got a manicure here a few days ago and the young lady who did my nails did not put my hands in water! She pushed back and clipped my cuticles completely dry. In addition, she also got up twice in the middle of my service - once to eat and another time to finish another customer's pedicure. I come here all the time just to get a gel manicure because of the price. It is $22 for a gel manicure! However, when I am getting a pedicure as well, I go to a much better salon because I do not want a cheap service done on my toes. Jenny's has a massive bottle of top coat that they refill in the Essie bottles, so be aware that they use cheap top coat, not actually "Essie" top coats. Not only that, but I got my nails done yesterday, and the OWNER Simon did them. He DID NOT cut my cuticles nor push them back. He went straight to applying gel. When he was finished with the gel, I looked down at my hands. My cuticles and hands were dusty, and dry because I had them soaking in acetone. HE DID NOT put a hot towel, cuticle oil or even lotion on my hands, but proceeded to tell me the price so I can pay and leave. I asked him if he stopped doing lotion and hot towels...he then got up and finally put some cuticle oil and a hot towel. I went here because it was CHEAP and neat, but they're cutting corners and it truly is "you get what you pay for". When it comes to nails, bite the bullet and go somewhere pricier instead of going somewhere where they even half ass their work for their REGULAR customers. He lost a customer for life especially since I went 3x a month. Shame on him for being the owner and producing mediocre service. read more

Salon is a little outdated, and could use more color gel options. I was happy with my acrylic fill in and color gel on top until it came time to pay. The difference was only 4 dollars which is no big deal, but they charge you to take off your polish and cut your nails half a inch shorter.
