The house sausage is great. It's our house favorite. Can't wait to try the beef fajitas.

They have freezer sections, fresh cuts, vacuum sealed items, I'd even go as far as saying that if you needed something off-menu, they might be able to hook you up. The folks behind the counter were very patient, and super efficient. We ended up leaving with two maple blueberry breakfast sausages, two decent sized New York Strip steaks, 2 girthy Who Dat Balls, 2 giant stuffed chicken breasts (one Italian, one 4 cheese), a dozen boudin stuffed tamales, and two thiccc vac-sealed brisket burgers. Even so, there so much more to go back for. Luckily this joint sits right along the route to family, and we will be back for more. They have an array of your usual meats, plus a plethora of exotic and wild meats, and accompaniments. Some of their items can come pre-seasoned or pre-rubbed. Parking is easy on a weekend, but could be tight during rush. They also have a customer service reward program, so get your stamp on. I'll update after I have cooked some of the foods, and sampled more of the inventory.

My husband took me to B&B Butchers for my birthday, and we had such a good dinner!…read more We ordered one of the big steaks that's meant for two--I believe it was the porterhouse--and when I say this thing was GIANT, I mean giant. There was absolutely no way we were finishing it. We brought a ton home, so while it's definitely pricey, you are getting a LOT of food. The steak itself was top notch and cooked perfectly. We started with the bacon appetizer, which was delicious and, again, so much food. We also had the Brussels sprouts and potatoes as sides, and both were really good. I cannot for the life of me remember the names of our drinks, but I remember one was similar to a Moscow Mule and the other was a martini-type drink with a little sliver of dragon fruit in it. I really wish I remembered the name because that one was SO good. Service was great from start to finish. The inside has more intimate, dim lighting, which was perfect for a birthday dinner or date night, but it wasn't overly stuffy. People were dressed anywhere from nice to fairly casual. It is definitely an expensive dinner, but we knew that going in when we made the reservation, so there was no sticker shock. Between the huge steak, great sides, drinks, and service, we really enjoyed our night. We'll definitely be back!

I sat upstairs with Stacy and Oscar at the bar, watched the Astros game, and had some extremely dirty gin martinis with hand-stuffed blue cheese olives. They didn't rush me to order and I was able to enjoy the martinis. Full service at the bar, btw! Houston Restaurant Weeks is going on so I went with that option. Started with the BLT salad -- beefsteak tomato, thick-cut bacon, and mozzarella di bufala over spinach, drizzled with balsamic reduction. Basically every server upstairs told me it was their favorite salad. The bacon was thhiicccckkkk! For my second course, I got the 22 oz. bone-in ribeye for a $30 charge (normally $85 on the dinner menu), topped with truffle butter for an additional $9. I also ordered a side of potato au gratin, which isn't on the HRW menu, but I love potatoes and wanted something to eat with the steak. The ribeye was cooked to perfection with a really nice char. Third course was dessert. I went with the New York cheesecake with compressed graham cracker. The cheesecake itself was good, though I thought the graham cracker could have been a little crunchier. Overall, a great evening! I was impressed.
