I usually stay away from showering at the gym but you don't have to worry about that here) First day I run in with 2 minutes to spare, find my name, check in. Being a newbie, Mike helped me wrap my hands (thank you!!), passed me a pair of gloves (wraps & rentals come with the promo) and off I went. I thought "It's been a while since I've went to the gym & im out of shape but hey, the muscle memory will kick in. #lightwerk" BRUH. The class is held in a group setting, super fast paced and you just keep going at it. First warm ups and then you start practicing your punches. I was struggling but Greg walked me through how to do everything - the whole time the pace of the workout never stopped. Then came the glorious 5 minutes where we rested as he set up the room and explained how to do the different exercises - circuit style. You won't get bored because there's literally no time to be bored. My second class was with the fierce af Sonia and she also came around and walked me through proper form, never slowing down the pace of the class. Her arm workouts are crazy but maybe my traps and triceps will finally come out of hiding. My shirt was drenched after her 7am class. (I am NOTTTTTT a morning person but her class is worth waking up for) Honestly the best thing is that the instructors don't make you feel like crap when you struggle or need to fix something multiple times. They pay attention, step in when you need it, and definitely motivate/push you. I don't write reviews (this is my first one) but WTF is seriously dope af so go try it out It's been 2 days & my body is sore in places I didn't know could be sore AND IT HURTS SO GOOD SO YOULL DEFINITELY WANT TO COME BACK.

I was bored out of my mind with the treadmill and didn't know what else to do with myself, so I found Just Train by googling for personal trainers in my area and came in for an assessment. Maria immediately made me feel comfortable and came up with a workout that was tailored to exactly what I wanted to achieve. Each session is one hour, but it's the fastest hour I've ever spent at a gym. The workouts are challenging but very doable, and I liked the intimate environment -- it's really just you, your trainer, and maybe two other people working out with their trainers at the same time. It's laidback and you get the sense of a real community. If I decide to work with a trainer again down the road, I will most probably be knocking on their door again.

In addition to his incredible workout, he is really funny, he keeps the morale high without annoying you (like some instructors I've had)....and I know I've said this already but his classes go by SO fast b/c two are never the same...He always changes it up....never a boring moment. I came here for a weekend Pad Work workout followed by a Bag Drills classes. It was my first time…read moredoing any martial arts whatsoever so I really didnt know what I was walking into. However, from the very start I was greeted by friendly staff and the instructors were amazing. They helped me with my form, gave me personal instruction on how to improve, and watched to make sure I was doing everything correctly. I loved the Pad Work class so much that I went a few days later once again. The workouts are tough, especially if you're not in shape and they'll have you sweating a few minutes into the class however I can't stress how worth it feels afterwards. I also really like that they allow drop-ins. Want to show up to a class later in the day? Ok! Don't want to go? No obligation to show up. I'll definitely be going again.

The staff is friendly and professional. Our instructors are all outstanding. Many of them are professional fighters. Two of our Muay Thai coaches are Ajarns, and for 6 months out of the year maybe the gym employs one or more Thai champions as trainers-in-residence. The vibe here is friendly and warm mostly but businesslike. People come here to train and we don't mess around. When I started here I had to settle in and adjust and earn respect like anyone does at any gym where everyone knows everyone. Now that I've been here over a year, and fought twice, Five Points Academy has embraced me with open arms.
